I came to this Opening Day @ Whistler vid firstly to see the condition of the trails on the first day because I visited July '24 and July '23....pretty rough both years in the berms. This guy gan really ride! When I was there, I stuck to mainly Blues. I'm targeting May 2025 to return now.

Looks so sick. Do you need a DH bike to ride there ? Or enduro enough? I got 150mm travel. But never ridden anything higher.
150mm is enough but for a bike park more is ideal
150 is super fun in the jump trails but a full dh bike is really fun on the tech trails
is Detroit Rock city the start of what used to be the lower section of teh world cup DH course? circa like 2005...
It branches off that but if you stay straight it’s still lower whistler DH
