True but I’m really close to Mia’s body type which is so rare to find on youtube, so I’m glad I found her channel! I’m subscribed to a lot of plus sized women though and I get so much fashion inspiration from them. I just use my imagination to figure out how it would look on me, then go by the size charts on the website.

Also asian sizes tend to run smaller. It’s nice seeing someone who is closer to my body type (her mom) trying clothing from this brand. I’m always sacred buying clothing from these websites because I’m tall and have a little bit more hips.

I don’t understand why people are getting so mad about this video in the comments, the vid is “trying on one size fits all on 2 different body types” which is obviously true. Mia is very petite with not really any curves and her mom is, i would say, pretty average with a pear shape. She didn’t title the video “petite vs. plus size try one size fits all” or “the only 2 body types try on one size fits all”...🤦🏻♀️ people get way too triggered. I thought it was a really fun idea and way to compare sizes

@@avrilarceo311 Actually there is a lot of difference between them. Mia hasnt had any children and her mom has. Your hips spread soooo much just from being pregnant! I have never given birth vaginally yet my hips have spread so much from being pregnant 4 times that I cant even use my husbands belt because it wont go around me! I am not fat by any means but just my hips and ribs spreading like they did from being pregnant, I have to wear XL or size 13 jeans! Before my pregnancies I wore S/M and size 6/8 jeans.
they are not trying on One Size fits all since they are getting different sizes!! She gets the small and her mom gets the Large... that doesn't sound like one size! and also all the tops they got are super stretchy! I love her videos but this one is a real disappointment
To say there’s no difference because their both small is ridiculous my mom who is a triathlete and me who is a couch potato are both small but yet her clothes are to big for me to wear we can share ANYTHING yet we are about the difference between Mia and her mom.

Canadian sizes??🤷🏼♀️ (I’ve never been to Canada and each county has a slightly different sizing in everything, so I’m assuming their different than American sizes.)
Also people look at large as being big I am not a very big person and I wear a large almost clothing things a large is anywhere from a size 8 to a size 12 depending on the clothing brand

I can't get over the critiques of this video. It was such a cute video and bonding experience for them. I'm not sure why people come to watch Mia, a very thin person try on clothes then complain that these clothes would look different on larger size girls. Mia then brings in her mom and people complain their body shapes and sizes are too similar. I'm not sure what video I watched compared to others but they definitely have different shapes. Her mom is more pear shaped that Mia. I feel I have a similar body type to her mom and would in no way say I have "too similar" of a body type to Mia! I feel like if Mia now searches for an xl-xxl person and does a comparison video like this she will get crap for having things fit her if the other girl has difficulty finding flattering clothing from these kinds of sites. If you feel your body type wasn't represented in this video and want to see how these clothes will look on you, find another video. Mia is so fun to watch but I don't watch her and expect the clothes that look good on her to fit just as well on me. Also, the people not trusting her mom saying she is a large is ridiculous as well. She knows her size and the fit of clothes she likes. Different stores have different sizing.

I am larger than both of them, but I know how to enjoy a video even if it's not showing me exactly how the clothes will fit me. 😅 the fact ppl keep saying "they're one size apart" is making me annoyed. clearly they are more than one size apart. yes her mom looks great, and yes she doesn't look like a large, but her and Mia are still quite different. I agree with you that she is doing her best but you cannot try to say her Mum and her have vastly different body shapes and seeing as her Mum is so slim it makes me mad that she is considered a ‘large’. It really bothers me. That’s the fashion industry’s fault though, of course.
I'd love to see this done on a larger body type as well, I know that isn't always possible though. You and your mom are not much different in sizing but this was fun to watch.
I think her mom prefers her clothes loose, while Mia goes for tight fits, and that is the reason for the 3 size difference. It would be good to see their actual measurements, but anyway, there are many women out there bigger than her mom.

Yeah, but at the start of this video she said she thought it was weird that everyone said this brand only makes clothes for people her size, so she wanted to make a video proving that these clothes can fit larger sizes, too. So people are pointing out that her mom is really small, because this video doesn't accomplish the goal of showing that different body sizes/types can wear these clothes.
She's a large in american/canadian sizes. This video was to prove that you can order your actual size and still be comfy on this website. Everyone is saying they're shocked how she's a large in U.S sizes but I'm not. My mom looks pretty small and wears XL

In American sizing, Mia is probably an XS/S and her mom is probably S/M. Anyone who is normally an L/XL in American sizing generally wouldn't be able to wear these pieces comfortably. No hate directed at the two, I loved the clothing on them. I'm just explaining for people who are getting angry about it. Sizing is what it is. Personally, I am at an unhealthy weight and need to lose quite a bit. Other people have medical conditions/medications that keep them from losing weight and that's different.
This makes so much sense. I'm looking at her mom whose body is similar to mine and confused when they kept saying she's a large. I'm usually a small! I didn't realize sizing was so different in Canada vs the US before this video
I was just gonna comment the same thing! Another youtuber also tested YesStyle clothing and the one size would really only fit a small to max a medium. It would definitely not fit someone who is a size large or bigger.
I’m a large American and I have the moms body type maybe a little curvier and most of these brands and brandy fit me fine for the most part lol. She’s def a large american. Smalls in brands are catering to her daughters sizing

I don't think theres any reason to hate this video. Mia and her mother are not the same size? Mia is very petite and her mother has more muscle not to mention the widened hips from birthing? A LOT goes into sizing its not just as simple as 2s, 18s, Ms ect. Its all the measurements of your particular body, you can fit into clothes but it doesn't mean they fit you so to speak. This is a video showing two different body shapes, just because they arent vastly different like xs vs xxxxl makes no difference. Im Plus but you are just making us look bad by throwing insults because your particular size isn't on show.

I think what we’ve learned from this video is that sizing in women’s clothing is inconsistent...oh wait....we already knew that. How y’all telling this woman what size she is? 😂 She looks great for sure. But keep in mind build and shape matter. I wouldn’t call myself a large. I typically buy my jeans in a 29 and tops in a medium but 99% of the time a try on is required for a new brand because I have stuff in my closest from xs to xxl. We need...NO DESERVE...more consistent sizing in women’s clothing. My boyfriend never tries on anything. I buy him the same size across any brand and it fits. So frustrating!
刘凯琳 刘凯琳 I would argue that’s absolute nonsense. Every male in my life is shaped differently. Different heights, weights, muscle mass, etc. Just because the features of focus are different doesn’t mean the concept isn’t the same. Obviously women come in varying shapes and sizes but the point is that there is no consistency amongst sizing in women’s clothing across brands. None. Arguing that women are shaped differently has literally nothing to do with anything. My point is that a size 6 in Gap shouldn’t match up with a size 10 in American Eagle. There should be some consistency amongst sizing and there is not. There shouldn’t be a difference of inches in jeans that are the same size. I’m going to assume you’ve never shopped for women’s clothing in North America because if you had you would be well aware of the variances across brands that make shopping so difficult. Men’s jeans are often sized by length and width in inches meaning more consistency. Women’s clothing are often given numerical sizing starting at 00 going up to whatever depending on brand with shirts in S/M/L. The fact that we have different body shapes literally has nothing to do with the fact that those sizes have no actual, conformed sizing unit that is abided by which makes shopping 100x harder. When I wear a 4/6 in one brand but need a 10 in another that makes no sense and makes shopping far more time consuming for me and every other woman buying clothes.
刘凯琳 I brought up men’s clothing because there doesn’t seem to be the same level of issue with that. I’m not arguing that women’s clothing isn’t more difficult to make because as a whole I believe there are many more cuts, styles, etc in women’s fashion than men’s. But also at least in the US, women’s clothing also tends to be more expensive in general so I feel like that accounts for it being more intricate overall. I guess we are looking at it from different angles. My comment is about the overall inconsistency in sizing in my country. It’s a huge issue. I don’t expect stuff to necessarily be exactly the same but it’s so frustrating when I can’t order jeans online from a brand I have 15 other pairs of jeans from because the sizing is so freaking off. I literally wish I could post a pic showing you the new jeans I bought recently. I have size 4, 6, and 8 all from the same brand. And they aren’t different fabrics or cuts which I do think can account for some discrepancy. It just makes it that much harder and discouraging to shop. By my measurements I should be a size 4 yet I have just plain Jane jeans ranging from 4-10. That’s a huge jump. I recently ordered a pair of jeans to replace a favorite pair I’ve had for years. I’ve definitely worn them in so I expected the new ones to be a tighter fit at first but they were huge on me. There is just no rhyme or reason to it. I don’t know anything about people changing the sizing to make people feel better as I’ve never heard anything like that.

@@Ecanbee Using expandable stretchy material for the waist part of a dress would allow for a one-size, but if it's not flexible, then you do need to have different sizes. In that case, I personally don't think the standardized "size" really describes the piece of clothing enough. At best, it serves as an indicator to help you locate your size. I can wear both medium and large pants simply because stretchy medium might fit but non-stretchy would not. I just have thicker thighs than the average medium but length wise, I'm definitely a medium. If you need to make sizes consistent, then we can't go by M, L, S because they can't account for height and width or other variables. That's why it makes sense jeans are also sized by the waist size because the material is so not flexible. But if we want to get to consistent sizing, the only way is to measure have more points of measure of shoulder, bust, waist, hip and thigh, which might complicate the system because there would be so many combinations. This is why I don't ever order online or buy if I can't try it on, sometimes it's not the size, it's the fit too. Whether the sleeve is too long, whether it hugs the booty too much, or whether the bust area is too tight, these may not have to do with size but also the design and the fabric of the clothing.

Fashion should me made for all people not only the people that fashion brands consider to be cool o beautiful or fit in the stupid standards they have. Also, a size S should be the same in all brands. It's frustrating when a S is smaller o bigger depending on the brand.
It looks like most of the clothing was from yesstyle which is an asian brand clothing site and asian sizes are one or two sizes smaller than the typical us or uk sizes so if she's a small she would be a large in asian sizing.
MIA - this is weird but when I was still pregnant (my baby is almost a month old now 😭) I couldn't sleep, I'd toss and turn all night, have contractions, pee 27 times , etc. I'd scroll RUclips and found your videos reviewing wish, and other clothing brands. I became obsessed! I've watched many others but you crack me up and always had me laughing with your facial expressions, commentary, editing clips, etc. And now, when I'm up with my baby feeding her, I watch videos in between to keep me awake lol so THANK YOU!
This is so helpful. I am actually your mom's size at the moment, due to hormone disbalance and I used to order from YesStyle a lot. This actually helped me to see that I can still order, just have to check information tab more closely to figure out the sizing. Thanks!

I can't get over the critiques of this video. It was such a cute video and bonding experience for them. I'm not sure why people come to watch Mia, a very thin person try on clothes then complain that these clothes would look different on larger size girls. Mia then brings in her mom and people complain their body shapes and sizes are too similar. I'm not sure what video I watched compared to others but they definitely have different shapes. Her mom is more pear shaped that Mia. I feel I have a similar body type to her mom and would in no way say I have "too similar" of a body type to Mia! I feel like if Mia now searches for an xl-xxl person and does a comparison video like this she will get crap for having things fit her if the other girl has difficulty finding flattering clothing from these kinds of sites. If you feel your body type wasn't represented in this video and want to see how these clothes will look on you, find another video. Mia is so fun to watch but I don't watch her and expect the clothes that look good on her to fit just as well on me. Also, the people not trusting her mom saying she is a large is ridiculous as well. She knows her size and the fit of clothes she likes. Different stores have different sizing.

So people are pointing out that her mom is really small, because this video doesn't accomplish the goal of showing that different body sizes/types can wear these clothes.

In American sizing, Mia is probably an XS/S and her mom is probably S/M. Anyone who is normally an L/XL in American sizing generally wouldn't be able to wear these pieces comfortably. No hate directed at the two, I loved the clothing on them. I'm just explaining for people who are getting angry about it. Sizing is what it is.
Personally, I am at an unhealthy weight and need to lose quite a bit. Other people have medical conditions/medications that keep them from losing weight and that's different.

A LOT goes into sizing its not just as simple as 2s, 18s, Ms ect. Its all the measurements of your particular body, you can fit into clothes but it doesn't mean they fit you so to speak.
This is a video showing two different body shapes, just because they arent vastly different like xs vs xxxxl makes no difference.

I think what we’ve learned from this video is that sizing in women’s clothing is inconsistent...oh wait....we already knew that. How y’all telling this woman what size she is? 😂 She looks great for sure. But keep in mind build and shape matter. I wouldn’t call myself a large. I typically buy my jeans in a 29 and tops in a medium but 99% of the time a try on is required for a new brand because I have stuff in my closest from xs to xxl. We need...NO DESERVE...more consistent sizing in women’s clothing. My boyfriend never tries on anything. I buy him the same size across any brand and it fits. So frustrating!

Different heights, weights, muscle mass, etc. Just because the features of focus are different doesn’t mean the concept isn’t the same. Obviously women come in varying shapes and sizes but the point is that there is no consistency amongst sizing in women’s clothing across brands. None. Arguing that women are shaped differently has literally nothing to do with anything. My point is that a size 6 in Gap shouldn’t match up with a size 10 in American Eagle. There should be some consistency amongst sizing and there is not. There shouldn’t be a difference of inches in jeans that are the same size. I’m going to assume you’ve never shopped for women’s clothing in North America because if you had you would be well aware of the variances across brands that make shopping so difficult. Men’s jeans are often sized by length and width in inches meaning more consistency. Women’s clothing are often given numerical sizing starting at 00 going up to whatever depending on brand with shirts in S/M/L. The fact that we have different body shapes literally has nothing to do with the fact that those sizes have no actual, conformed sizing unit that is abided by which makes shopping 100x harder. When I wear a 4/6 in one brand but need a 10 in another that makes no sense and makes shopping far more time consuming for me and every other woman buying clothes.

I’m not arguing that women’s clothing isn’t more difficult to make because as a whole I believe there are many more cuts, styles, etc in women’s fashion than men’s. But also at least in the US, women’s clothing also tends to be more expensive in general so I feel like that accounts for it being more intricate overall. I guess we are looking at it from different angles. My comment is about the overall inconsistency in sizing in my country. It’s a huge issue. I don’t expect stuff to necessarily be exactly the same but it’s so frustrating when I can’t order jeans online from a brand I have 15 other pairs of jeans from because the sizing is so freaking off. I literally wish I could post a pic showing you the new jeans I bought recently. I have size 4, 6, and 8 all from the same brand. And they aren’t different fabrics or cuts which I do think can account for some discrepancy. It just makes it that much harder and discouraging to shop. By my measurements I should be a size 4 yet I have just plain Jane jeans ranging from 4-10. That’s a huge jump. I recently ordered a pair of jeans to replace a favorite pair I’ve had for years. I’ve definitely worn them in so I expected the new ones to be a tighter fit at first but they were huge on me. There is just no rhyme or reason to it. I don’t know anything about people changing the sizing to make people feel better as I’ve never heard anything like that.

@@Ecanbee Using expandable stretchy material for the waist part of a dress would allow for a one-size, but if it's not flexible, then you do need to have different sizes. In that case, I personally don't think the standardized "size" really describes the piece of clothing enough. At best, it serves as an indicator to help you locate your size. I can wear both medium and large pants simply because stretchy medium might fit but non-stretchy would not. I just have thicker thighs than the average medium but length wise, I'm definitely a medium. If you need to make sizes consistent, then we can't go by M, L, S because they can't account for height and width or other variables. That's why it makes sense jeans are also sized by the waist size because the material is so not flexible. But if we want to get to consistent sizing, the only way is to measure have more points of measure of shoulder, bust, waist, hip and thigh, which might complicate the system because there would be so many combinations.
This is why I don't ever order online or buy if I can't try it on, sometimes it's not the size, it's the fit too. Whether the sleeve is too long, whether it hugs the booty too much, or whether the bust area is too tight, these may not have to do with size but also the design and the fabric of the clothing.

MIA - this is weird but when I was still pregnant (my baby is almost a month old now 😭) I couldn't sleep, I'd toss and turn all night, have contractions, pee 27 times , etc. I'd scroll RUclips and found your videos reviewing wish, and other clothing brands. I became obsessed! I've watched many others but you crack me up and always had me laughing with your facial expressions, commentary, editing clips, etc. And now, when I'm up with my baby feeding her, I watch videos in between to keep me awake lol so THANK YOU!
