- Comic Relief: Close Encounters of the Furred Kind, 14/03/97 - all I have of the Father Ted half-hour that played late in the evening, just before the tape stopped.
Not my copyright (obviously), just sharing found ephemera.
The fact no-one laughed at ' that money was just resting in my account' is criminal
@Miss Isle evidence
It seems as if that audience didn't knew Father Ted at all
Yeah that shocked me big time
I know shocking
Mainstream audience.
It is so sad that Dermot never got to experience his full potential he did not know Father Ted brought so much joy
Agreed. Father Ted is a massive part of my childhood, wish he could have seen how much it meant to people.
yiou can see here that dermot morgan does not look very well and i think he passed away two weeks after this was shot
sorry year after. he refused to cut down on the booze and the ciggies and the fried food. which caused arteries to pack. he igonored all medical advice of getting a health check for the insurance over the three series of father ted,
@@markdaly1903 He died the day after filming ended on the final Father Ted.
He did reach his potential. He won the coveted Golden Cleric award!
R.I.P Dermot Morgan 20 years gone but not forgotten
21 years today, and Jack 3... Christ.
Such a shame He had to go away..:(
Miss you big man
RiP Dermot Morgan, Frank Kelly, and Benny Harvey
Miss these big men
I really miss Dermot Morgan
The wonderful Father Ted remains the funniest program ever made.
Damn straight, it's my favourite sitcom of all time
Did you mean the exciting and dramatic father ted! In any case, you must excuse me for my impetus interruption.
Had never seen this gem! Discovering it on the day I was in Dublin and went to visit the ‘Joker’s chair’ memorial to Dermot in Merrion Square makes it extra special. Rest in power, legend
"Floor! Curtains! Gobshite!"
~Father Jack Hackett
I love finding these gems- stuff I've never seen before... RIP Dermott... 💔💔💔
Thanks for giving me one last laugh at Father Ted
LOL Dougal missed his cue with the frying pan xD
And thats a blooper haha
He was laughing having to act like Dougal with no break totally live and having to hit Dermot with a frying pan although saying that Ardal said he had to let his mind go blank to play Dougal and stay in character as much as possible he couldn't just slip out of character Rip Dermot Morgan aka father ted and Frank kelly father jack
You can see dermot laughing, its gone very dark haha
What would have made this really awesome is if Mrs. Doyle came out and started asking everybody if they wanted a cup of tea.
This isn't all of it.
From memory she does come out and says "ah will you not give some money to comic relief....... ahhhh go on..... Go on" etc
Then Jack comes out and gets excited about the spice GIRLS and speeds around the stage in his wheelchair
@@cdname47
That sounds brilliant!
There was no imagination in the design of that stage.
That's Dougal's reality
@@tullamorejameson480 That's deep set design then, getting into the physical mindscape of Dougal's barren brain! :-O
Great to see more of them together. Pure class
“I think they noticed THAT one Ted” aww they’re the best and work together so well!
Great! Never seen this before. Might have to watch a bit of Father Ted now. Only watched it,I don't know, maybe 14 times or so.Still so good! RIP Ted.
They're both such great actors.... so natural
they were giving this amazing show on live tv with an audience??? wow they're acting skills are 10000/10
"Annie-way" is my favourite Father Ted word
Down with this sort of thing!
Just play the f£@*n note.
@@bootstrapperwilson7687 The first one?
@@SuperJNG18 NO NOT THE F**KING FIRST ONE!!
Careful now
“That would be an ecumenical matter….” 😊
Good old Dermot Morgan
SACK ME?!?! I MAAAAAADEEE COMIC RELIEF!

“Annyway”
I cant believe I have never seen this. What a treat. RIP Dermot, still missed.
God bless you my friend, I hope you're doing well. :)
He's dead
@@butcherax chill
I miss Dermot Morgan.😢
5:54 You can definitely hear him go "Why don't you bloody well go FUCK OFF..." before the church bells start
That was definitely not feck, that was a full on enunciated FUCK 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Less than a year later...Rip ✝
He who doesn't like Father Dougal McGuire doesn't like life!!
Classic
HE DIED FEB 28TH 1998. 'jack' DIED FEB 28TH 2016.
3:57 And if you - - - *BONK!!!*
This just reminded me why I hate live audiences and laughing tracks so much
Yeah I've seen all my comedy favourites die on their arse over the years to an indifferent comic relief audience who are only there because some big name celebrity is singing or something
Usually they'd do routines from their live shows that storms it every time so you know it's the audience and not the performers
That Money Was Just Resting In My Account, HAHAHA, LOL 😃👍.
Big Lenny before he lost 18stone 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Cup of tea father? Go on go on go on go on go on. Father Jack"Drink arse girls". "Driiinnk"
lol
Anyone get the buckets for Jesus bit? 🤷♂️
And now in 2022 people are finally realizing that comic relief is about as much value for money as the BBC TV licence.
"The BBC TV licence" - which despite the anti-BBC propaganda remains excellent value.
@@neilcole9698 Nope
@@Thedownliner2015 yup
Wow. This was a time when Lenny Henry pretended to like white people to advance his career.
He was married to a white person!
