Most of the gigs haven't done SEO properly. Look at some gigs yourself. Fiverr uses Gig rotation to shuffle gigs over time. Gigs with good SEO will rank for other minor keywords as well. Yes, you shouldn't try to rank for highly competitive keywords. At least you can try, so you will get ranked for other minor keywords as well.
Actually only SEO won't rank your gig. There're some other factors involve when ranking your gig. as an example your review count, gig fav count, response rate etc. But SEO plays a major role. If you're a new seller you have only to focus on SEO, but it's not so easy to stand up from the competition. Hope you can understand what i said. Yeah Fiverr SEO is still working 🙂. Creating SEO rich + User friendly gig will make a big impact even if you're a new seller.
