Not exactly the perfect pool for fly fishing but it should always hold fish and most likely some good size fish too even if i would say it's generally a wurm or rapala style pool in general. I am wondering a little about your casting but you caught a deacent fish so well done:)
Hi James - the net design will always be compromise to allow me to carry it around my waist. Generally I'm very mobile when I go out, I fish tricky overgrown places like Ruan Ruarie and also deep wade and my personal choice is that I don't want anything hanging off my upper body. For this net to work the fish has to be coming in like a torpedo - this was a difficult situation and the trees behind me limited what I could do with my rod. Have plans to incorporate an extending handle but will do this over the close season. No doubt a large net would have been beneficial!

No idea but my 13 yr old son told me that he had been swimming there this summer with his mates and jumping off the rocks!!

Nice fish,but think you need to pur hase another net as i think you will loose afew fish at the net if keep using that net😮
