We spent 3 weeks in Canada this summer. We spent time in Vancouver and Banff prior to heading to Jasper. The drive from Vancouver to Banff is simply amazing. Best scenery of our lives and watching your video brings back great memories. Sadly we were on day 1 of 7 in Jasper when the fire developed and evacuation was required. The evacuation from Jasper was an interesting and somewhat terrifying experience and we managed to relocate into the Revelstoke area which was a fantastic amendment to our trip. Being from Northern California and living within a community affected by the fires of 2017, we empathize with members of the Jasper community and wish them patience and hope as recovery from fire is a very slow process. In time things will return back to normal and we look forward to returning in the future. Highly recommend anyone interested in mountains, lakes and hiking to visit the Canadian Rockies. There is nothing like it!
Thank you for your recognition of what happened in Jasper and your willingness to help. You were so blessed to get to see Jasper before this disastrous wildfire in Jasper. It's a true tragedy, but thankfully everyone got out. We were to be in Jasper Sept 5-9 and will instead be going from Banff through Radium back to West Glacier. I'm so sad for Jasperites and their tragic losses. But I'm really happy for you that you got to experience it and get to go on to the beauty of Alaska. Can't wait to see how you do Alaska differently this time. I enjoyed your previous journey. We have friends who've gone to AK for 3-4 months the last 3 years and bring home several hundred pounds of vacuumed packed salmon fillets in small freezers in the back of their truck. They have an amazing adventure each year. I hope you have a great adventure too.
So glad you made in through Jasper prior to the fires. When you said that you could spend weeks exploring so true. I have spent my adult life exploring those places. Sadly gone are the days that we drove out from Calgary for the day to see sights that now must be booked. I have seen all those places so I leave them for visitors to enjoy. You drove past lots of 1st come 1st served camping sites. My fav just north of Peyto (I say pay-tow) at Waterfowl Lake. I was on my way to Jasper when I stopped over night the night before Jasper was evacuated. Will travel through that way in 2 weeks heading for Prince George. Trying to prepare for what I will see in my beloved Jasper Park. Again glad you got through the park and look forward to your adventures going to Alaska.
We spent 5 weeks this summer exploring Banff, Kootenay, and Jasper. We pulled our 32 ft Grand Design Transcend from SC to Canada. It was absolutely amazing!! It is a must do for any RVer! It breaks my heart to see what happened to Jasper. Please show as much as possible of your return back through. I want to go back to see it, but I don't know when we will be able to get back there.
Your views of Moraine Lake and all the other lakes up to Jasper were so much prettier than when we went through. Thanks for capturing that beauty. Looking forward to seeing all your other videos. Drive safe !!!
We camped three nights in one of the Icefields campgrounds. One of the nicest camps ever. So glad you are able to enjoy our Canadian beauty! 🇨🇦. So tragic for Jasper. Unbelievable 🙏🙏
Personally I think Banff, Vancouver, Victoria, Jasper Park that whole region is prettier than Alaska. Might be an unpopular opinion. Anywhere I can travel though is a great day. Have fun travels!
I have never understood the attraction of Banff... And I've lived in Calgary for 24 yrs plus driven through the pass many times before moving here. I think Canmore is much more beautiful. I particularly enjoy a meal on the patio of the " Iron Goat" with it's spectacular view. Plus a walk about Downtown beats Banff everytime.... Banff??? Mehhhhh. Only if you like crowds and traffic.
As always amazing photography. Love Lilly and Laila's BTS stuff. Your videos will be a good reminder of what it was before the fire. So sad but we are just going to see more and more destruction due to fires. Thanks for taking us along.
Hey hey. You missed my favourite camp spot by Nordegg east of icefields. Also a little farther east was Abraham Lake. You could spend a month in the Rockies just on the Alberta side of them. 😌 We drove to thru Northern Ontario and dipped down to Mt Rushmore then back to Alberta these past few weeks. Van/tent. 😬 But we already decided we are going to just explore Alberta next summer with our travel trailer, it has been a while since we have shown the kids some of the beauty. They are teenagers now! It is such a privilege to live here. Our province is breathtaking. Welcome and drive careful.
Thank you for mentioning the fires in Jasper as an Albertan who also went through fire evacuations this year and 2016 the condolences mean alot! Safe travels!
I remember when the spot where you guys are standing the glacier was right up there. it was almost to the road. it has receded so much over the last 40 years. Also my moms best friend Ann Peyto who lived in Banff it was her grandfather that the lake was named after. I remember when I was a child of her speaking about him all the time. So glad that you are enjoying your trip through the mountains of Banff and Jasper. 😊
watching you drive over the bridge @4:25 you are passing the Hoodoo Mountain! We are permanent seasonal at the Hoodoo campground and have this beautiful view from our site. It’s been a tough year for the valley and area including Jasper for fire and crazy wind storms.Happy you were able to see it all before it was destroyed. If your back this way again stop for gas and ice cream and hike the Hoodoo trail. Safe travels.
We were also there just before the fire this year although maybe a little later as it was so hot when we were there, no hoodies were needed, lol. We were grateful that we got to visit and see this beautiful place before the fire. I have been following the progress of Jasper town who look like they are doing an amazing job at looking after their people. Your adventures and videos are great and I will continue to follow your journey.
We visited Peyto Lake 6 years ago. It was so amazing! I believe it was in Banff National Park, 25 miles north of Lake Louise. My daughter thought the lake was shaped like a wolf. We were there in Oct. of 2018 and there was snow on the ground as we hiked up to it. One of our favorite memories 😊
We live in Calgary and we’re happy to see you managed the congestion of the Lake Louise area. It’s a new world up there so we’re taking our travels elsewhere these days. Once you hit the Icefields Parkway though, traffic thins out a bit.
Great videography Corey. We were there in June this year and the hike along the edge was fantastic. Same with Lake Moraine. We arrive at 7:30 Thursday June 13th at Lake Louise and didn't have a parking problem. We had pre-booked the Lake Moraine bus ride from the ski resort across the highway, easy parking at 8am. Full day at both lakes, totally awesome place.
I enjoy stopping at the Athabaska glacier, though it’s sad because I started taking photos of it in 1976 & through my photos you can see the amount of receding it’s done. Thanks for your kind words and desire to help, the residents are just getting back to Jasper so depending on your return trip you may or may not be allowed in Jasper National Park, at that end anyways and most likely not the Jasper townsite.
I'm glad you guys took some time to visit Banff and Jasper. The mountains sure are a wonderful sight. While visiting our sons out west, we camped for a week in Banff. ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL. Now you guys HAVE to be honest.......how do the Canadian Rockies compare to the Tetons?
Just camped 3 nights in Banff and 2 in Lake Louise. Supposed to have had 4 nights in Jasper but couldn't with the fire, so drove yesterday to the Columbia Icefield & walked to the toe of the glacier. I pointed out the striations to my husband and it made me laugh remembering y'all giving Cory a hard time for saying "striations". Videos/pictures aren't good at showing how steep or tall things actually are, so I was shocked at what a steep hill it was up to the toe, but knew from your video it would be worth it and it totally was! As an older "fluffy" woman, I was proud of myself for making it up there. After seeing that area for ourselves, we realize that film cannot fully convey the sheer size and magnificence of the mountains, rivers, valleys and glaciers, but I've got to say that your fabulous videography gets really close. Have fun and keep up the great work and as always, thanks for sharing your lives and talents with us. Blessings!
Great to follow along with you on that stretch, reminded us of what we so enjoyed while travelling over the same area, although travelling in the other direction in a Class C at the same time of the year, but 17 years ago. It was a big trip for us all the way from New Zealand, but we thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
we so enjoy your videos! I know the girls don’t like to be in the videos now that they are bigger but it is so good to get glimpses of them. Leila looks so cute in the pleated skirt! thanks for sharing your adventures.
There are great walking trails to Lake Louise that are very well maintained you can take as well. If you don’t get a bus pass. Banff and Jasper are busy but are not a waste of time, unfortunately right now nobody can experience Jasper as half of the town was lost to wildfires. Cheers to your travels, enjoy your trip.
You are making your way north to Alaska vis beautiful Canada. Banff and Jasper were vacation locations for my family as I was a kid. Still breath taking. Hopefully recovery from the fires can start soon. Beautiful videography.
The residents were finally allowed back last wk, no visitors still for quite some time. We all in Alberta are devastated with how much of Jasper has been lost. Thank God everyone got out 🙏🙏
So Happy you spent the time to see our rocky mountain parks. They are Truely AMAZING, and unfortunately very popular attractions. Making sure you have reservations for camping and getting to popular hikes and view points early to beat the crowds. The Best times too visit are from May long weekend to end of June and agin fron sep1 to Beginning of Oct. In spring you get the amazing snow topped mountain views and the fall the fantastic colors of approaching winter. Having lived here all my life I sort of took it for granted , but when I took the trip to Yukon and Alaska I Fully understand that some of the most fantastic scenery is HERE IN BC AND ALBERTA and anyone visiting from the states Needs to make more time to visit here because just buzzing thru to the Alcan and then coming home just flying thru from alcan to the border just WASTES what is Better than Alaska and goes for a thousand miles on your way to and from Alaska. The bc coastal mountains and the Rockies are Stunning. CHEERS AND SAFE TRAVELS. Steve h.
Thanks for taking me back in my memories. Rushmore, Glacier, Seattle, Vancouver, Banff/Jasper was the last of our big family trips before the all the kids were grown and doing their own things. Only 7 years ago but seems like forever ago.
I wanna go! I'm glad you told us how early you have to go to see Lake Louise!! I was there in the 60's--my, how things change. Gorgeous, dreamy, Love the mountains. Happy Touring.
We did Banff and Jasper in October 1999. No shuttles to Morraine Lake at the time. It was an overcast day but still beautiful. We did a tea house hike on a pretty day at Lake Louise. We also did the snow coach tour at Athabasca Glacier. Definitely closer to the road 25 years ago.
Love all the Beautiful Pictures and the Amazing Footage You all take for us It's such a Beautiful Place, Thank You for bringing us along. God Bless You and Your Family.
Being from Calgary we used to go up to Moraine Lake and park in the lot at the lake. Unfortunately with the number of people wanting to see the lake it's no longer a site locals can just go to. If you get back to the lake again I recommend taking the hike up to Larch Valley at Moraine Lake. It's a high mountain valley with Larch trees that drop their needles in the fall. Love the videos and pictures. Thanks
This is definitely on my bucket list for my “someday” 😊 it’s just so breathtaking. Being from S FL, it’s just so different than what we can see here (not taking away from our beautiful beaches, springs etc. -just different)
We went through Jasper and bounce in late July and there were not a whole Lotta crowds and we didn’t have any wildfires either. Sorry to hear about you having such a bad time in Banff be safe
Just discovered your Channel and love your content. Wife wants to do an Alaskan Cruise but this may be a great alternative. We have a 30' Class-A Winnebago and we're considering downsizing to Class-C. The new Lineage is one I'm very interested in. Your adventure is covering 2 very important decisions for us. I do have 1 question: please share your experience of not pulling a TOAD vehicle with you on your trips. We have been using the Class A for almost a year now and always need a vehicle for errands, eating out, visiting nearby attractions, transporting bicycles to nearby trails, etc. I'll be keeping up with your trip. Thx.
Fantastic video! You have inspired us to try to take this route next year. Please tell me about when you arrived in Banff. When do the roads get icy or snowy? Thanks
Banff is amazing! We stay at Tunnel Mountain Campground village 2 for 2 weeks. You guys ever think to invest in a clip on micro phone? Sometimes it’s hard to hear over the road noise.
The best time to visit Banff and Lake Louise is in April and May before the start of the busy summer season. "Springtime in the Rockies" really is a thing.
Gorgeous scenery! Thanks for taking me along on the ride! I have a question… I love the music you choose for your videos and have downloaded a lot of it to my playlist. I can’t figure out the song playing after you see the bear. “Like a light in the night, you will always be my home…” What is the name and the artist of this song?
Can't believe how much the glaciers at Lake Louise and the Columbia Icefields have receded from when I was last there. Your walk up to Athabaska Glacier was all covered in glacier when I was there.
I just recently found your channel. I am curious as to what you are using to capture all of your videos, especially on the road. Do you have a video that discusses what you use or could you list what you do use.
A few years ago, we took the Rocky Mountain Railroad - Vancouver to the Canadian Rockies. We had a lake front room at Lake Louise. 1st Class trip. Love your photography. Thanks for the Beautiful memories.
Loved this video. The peaks at Moraine Lake are not known as the 7 sisters. They are the Wenkchemna Peaks and there are 10 of them. They are beautiful and I am glad you got to see them at their gorgeous best!!😊
I’m honestly not sure where I picked up the term 7 sisters🤷♂️ I feel like in the past I’ve seen photos of moraine with the caption “7 sisters” . Thanks for the heads up!
I've lived here my entire life and have never heard those peaks referred to as the 7 sisters. Thats the Valley of the Ten Peaks - Mt. Fay, Mt. Little, Mt. Bowlen, Mt. Tonsa, Mt. Perren, Mt. Allen, Mt. Tuzo, Deltaform Mountain, Neptuak Mountain and Wenkchemna Peak. There is the 3 Sisters in Canmore though... Also, Bow Lake is pronounced like the bow in hairbow, not like the bow of a boat.
I’m honestly not sure where I picked up the term 7 sisters🤷♂️ I feel like in the past I’ve seen photos of moraine with the caption “7 sisters” . Thanks for the heads up! Looks there are 7 actual sisters in hazleton , driving though there today 😃
That's what time we took the truck camper in, and I went back to sleep after the camper parked up at moraine lake. Thankfully we didn't have to shuttle.
Hi again. Nathan left Glacier and went to Cascade National Park Wildfire destroyed one third of Jasper. I asked him how he like his RV. He likes the handling and is getting 12 to 15 miles a gallon currently.
Aw man! I must've only missed crossing paths with you guys by days. When did y'all make the trek up the icefields parkway? We were on the parkway July 7th for hiking at bow lake and Peyto Lake, and the 10th for drive to Jasper with same stops you made.
Camping in Banff at Tunnel Mountain, Banff is like Disney World with all the people. Lunch at the Tea House was still worth it with all the people. Heading to Peyto Lake Friday, doing Johnston Canyon today.
Two questions: Do you not think you’ll miss the ability to unhitch and drive off into town (or up a small trail road) a little easier, whilst leaving your camping set-up intact? And is it as safe for your passengers? I’m pretty sure, here in the UK, each passenger has to have a belted seat (and be using the belt when under way). But great videos and wonderful scenery, as usual.
Yes drivable RVs have seatbelts for passengers outside of the driver area. It is law in Canada that all persons in the vehicle must use seatbelts. Correctly.
I’m enjoying your adventure in Canada 🇨🇦. Make sure when you go to WalMart buy their big chocolate bars. They are all European chocolate. Read the labels, it so much better than the ones we get in the US.

Thanks, guys🙌 looking forward to editing this journey! It’s the luck of the draw with weather unfortunately 😕
The waterfalls video is incredible. Love to see you in a "C" those campers are so underrated by people.
What timeframe is this? July, August?
Corey, your cinema photography has just skyrocketed, well done.
We camped three nights in one of the Icefields campgrounds. One of the nicest camps ever. So glad you are able to enjoy our Canadian beauty! 🇨🇦. So tragic for Jasper. Unbelievable 🙏🙏
Went there in the early 70's, looked down at a creek with a pool & it was blue green, pink swirl! Could hardly believe my eye's! Love, Canada!!
I wonder what caused the pink?
Personally I think Banff, Vancouver, Victoria, Jasper Park that whole region is prettier than Alaska. Might be an unpopular opinion. Anywhere I can travel though is a great day. Have fun travels!

Ssh, don’t tell everyone about Nordegg.😆🇨🇦🏔️
Thank you for mentioning the fires in Jasper as an Albertan who also went through fire evacuations this year and 2016 the condolences mean alot! Safe travels!

You guys rock. I’m only 3 hours away from jasper. And hearing what you guys said makes me very proud. And welcome to Canada

It got hot 🥵 this was about a week before the fire .
Didn’t want the video to end. Just incredible thnx for the ride!

Great footage and video! Was there in Oct 2022. Rushed through. Probably one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever visited.

Oh my word!!! The water is just spectacular! We were in Glacier last year, and the water there took our breath away!!
Just camped 3 nights in Banff and 2 in Lake Louise. Supposed to have had 4 nights in Jasper but couldn't with the fire, so drove yesterday to the Columbia Icefield & walked to the toe of the glacier. Very sad about Jasper😢 “didn’t waste our time” meaning we saw as much as we possibly could in the short time we were there. Those NPs are incredible.
That was very pretty.Great video coverage 1 Thanks for taking us along! :) NNTR
Absolutely beautiful. Thank you for sharing!! Definitely on my bucket list - I've been there YEARS ago but hubby has not.
Wow! What a beautiful video! Can't wait for more. This video should have way more views. Hope RUclips pushes this out ✌️
Absolutely stunning scenery. Safe travels, friends!
There are beach people, and mountain people. This looks AMAZING. Adding to my bucket list.

Love the new Lineage M. Can you use the bathroom with the slide in? Can you use the bed with slide in ?
Awesome views! Thank you for sharing and pumping the inspiration!

14:21 Absolutely hilarious!!!😂
😂
We found your other sticker in Glacier. My son found it. Great video, wish we could be up there this year but life happens and we are going next year.
Wow! Just....wow!
What month were you visiting lake Louise, Peyto lake etc? Heading there at end of September and wondering about clothes to pack. Thanks!
Did you take a spare tire? Just wondering. Love your channel, have followed for years!
A few years ago, we took the Rocky Mountain Railroad - Vancouver to the Canadian Rockies. We had a lake front room at Lake Louise. 1st Class trip. Love your photography. Thanks for the Beautiful memories.
That’s sounds like an incredible trip!
Thank you for the great video! I have a clarifying question...did you secure "last minute" shuttle tickets to Moraine Lake (two days in advance)?
Glad you enjoyed it! Yes, maybe 10 hrs in advance.
The old Canadian ten dollar bill had a photo of moraine lake. Due in part to the 10 peaks
That's what time we took the truck camper in, and I went back to sleep after the camper parked up at moraine lake. Thankfully we didn't have to shuttle.
Not sure its mentioned yet, but both Bow Lake and Peyto are in Banff National Park, not Jasper.
Hi again. Nathan left Glacier and went to Cascade National Park Wildfire destroyed one third of Jasper. I asked him how he like his RV. He likes the handling and is getting 12 to 15 miles a gallon currently.
We were a few weeks ahead of LJMJ , so we were able to beat the fire. We also love how nimble the rv is!
We were just in Banff and Yoho. Banff was soo soo crowded. We were there 2 weeks ago. We saw no wildlife. Have fun
We hope to do Johnston Cayon in a few days!
@@FindingOurSomeday Go at 6, I can’t believe all the people. Awesome place for photography
So cool to re-see it in different season
How is the Lineage doing on the rough roads? Has anything broken in the Lineage? We sure enjoy your videos. Thank you for taking us along.
wish I could attach for you our photos from Payto Lake when the trail to that view was covered by 4+ feet of snow back in early June 2022
Just wow! I am in Ontario and have not seen any of that...yet...
You should see the video Peter McKinnon did on the lake. I think he called it the money shot. It was so good they put it on a Canadian coin.
Beautiful video and pictures.
Such a beautiful day for pictures though!
Absolutely amazing video on God’s creation. Question, do you sell your photos?
I remember Corey running out of gas at the border! 😆
I just put this on my bucket list
I hope you are enjoying our beautiful Canadian rockies😊
Two questions: Do you not think you’ll miss the ability to unhitch and drive off into town (or up a small trail road) a little easier, whilst leaving your camping set-up intact? And is it as safe for your passengers? I’m pretty sure, here in the UK, each passenger has to have a belted seat (and be using the belt when under way). But great videos and wonderful scenery, as usual.
Yes drivable RVs have seatbelts for passengers outside of the driver area. It is law in Canada that all persons in the vehicle must use seatbelts. Correctly.
Simply beautiful! I would love to go there.
Many years ago I remember seeing the Columbia Ice fields Glacier right up to the highway.
Are over one hundred years old? That’s when it was out to the highway.
No, my husband as a kid also remembers it being up to the highway
Unbelievable thank you for the journey
I’m enjoying your adventure in Canada 🇨🇦. Make sure when you go to WalMart buy their big chocolate bars. They are all European chocolate. Read the labels, it so much better than the ones we get in the US.
It is absolutely beautiful
I hate how crowded the National Parks have gotten. What time of the year did you go?
