My parents immigrated to Canada from Pakistan in the 80s. I was born and raised in Toronto where my mother fed me Pakistani dishes each and every day. I always wondered, how good is the cuisine from Pakistan in comparison to what I grew up eating?

Thier culture was already destroyed by Turkish invaders and now their culture is just mixture of indian and middle eastern culture.
Interesting video, bro!! In Bangladesh, we also have a sweet shop like this that sells the similar types of sweets as urs, and the most delicious thing was the Gulab Jamun.

Both the sweets Rajar(actually Rajar's Mithai) and Swati are named after their (supposed) places of origin. Rajar is a union council in Charsadda, which so happens to be where you are. Not Peshawar. Oh, and the rice(ghati roji), that's goated stuff
The last dish you had is called ghatay rujay (pashto translation "fat rice"). Its has slightly similar texture to kichri however is different dish to kichri, as flavour of this dish focuses more on beef meat and animal fat and cooked differently to kichri hence short grain rice and is like meaty risotto dish very common home dish amongst pashtuns and afghans families and is traditionally eaten with masteh (plain fresh yoghurt) or quroot (fermented yoghurt -taste sour). Btw i love your videos.
