Finally someone that knows how to review these add-on helicopters! Been eyeing them for awhile but I have my doubts based on the one that is provided in the vanilla game and the scarce footage I've seen on youtube of the add-on ones. This was the best yet.

Love your videos hope to get a Puma soon. Is there a way to adjust the sensibility on the cyclic? Looks not as responsive as real life. Or does it just look that way?

I can’t get the throttle to work on R-44. During the set-up the throttle does work, but I’m unable to assign it to the actual throttle on the sim. I did contact Puma and they stated that it’s a problem with the Skylabs software. Any suggestions?

@@JoshuaHambyOfficial uh i have a freeware one the 2.0.0 R22 if i vtol collective up it will turn right i need the standard Geometric control in plane maker and the Expert VTOL or Helo controls
Yea. A counterclockwise rotor system will make the helicopter yaw right due to torque. So when you pull collective, you have to add left pedal. And on the way down. You have to put in right pedal.
Any way to reverse the collective or use just a separate throttle to use as a fixed wing throttle to use that control set up without getting two full control set ups?

I meant if I wanted to shell out for the fancy helicopter puma controls or the Apache controls or something, because helicopter appropriate controls seem more important than say the thrustmaster fixed wing setups, is there a way to use the cyclic and anti torque pedals as your stick and rudder pedals while either reversing the collective or using a separate stand alone throttle control with the puma to fly fixed wing? I fly real world helicopters and tailwheel aerobatic planes and if this VR stuff is getting good enough, as your video seems to show, to be good for practicing, I’m very interested.
Oh yea. Each aircraft, you can assign anything. I use my helicopter controls for left hand throttles and stick planes. Check out my setup video. I show where I use it for helicopter, tail wheel and multi

Good deal. Yes helicopters are very expensive. I can barely afford to stay current in them

Thanks for the comment! I just took the collective damper off because I couldn't get a smooth transition for fine adjustments.

Hey thanks! When assigning the throttle axis, select something called Wing Sweep.

The VSKYLABS stuff is very good. My favorite overall is the DF 407.

Assign the throttle to the "wing sweep" axis.

Ah, the helicopter controls are the Pro Flight Trainer Puma, Saitek throttles and Honeycomb yoke.
