- In 2013, Stephen Curry's 54-point outburst signaled to the rest of the NBA that his time was on the way. Melo shared the court during that game, but the 54-point outburst wasn't a surprise at all to the future Hall of Famer; he already knew Steph was destined, and he explains why. #stephencurry

I watched nearly EVERY Melo game. I remember watching that game, laying in my bed and being soooo pissed! I was like, "why are y'all letting this lil dude kill y'all like this!?" Little did I know, Curry was LIKE THAT and would be LIKE THAT for many years to come.
Yo i remember that game too, bruh I was at a hitabitch with my cousins and just watching from the table just wittiness history.
That was a legendary game even though GS lost. I’d never seen someone shoot over big men like that.
Nike curry then
Lmfao yo facts bro I was like wtf is going on I was just happy we got the win
We won tho
I’ll never forget that game.. That was the moment we KNEW we had a superstar in the Bay!
He was cooking that whole year but that game put the national media on notice🔥🔥
@@Dipset415 Yessir Dawg
@@Dipset415 he was.. but it was just potential still.. we were worried about ankles.. Nobody including you knew.. what he would become..
@@lockedinnn did you see him in college🤦🏿♂️his first 3 years monta was taking all the shots and year 3 he had ankle issues 4th year it was take over time🔥🔥🤓
You dig!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I literally been waiting years for somebody to ask melo this lol
Steph was never the same player after that game.
It's like he unlocked his gift that day , something clicked and it never stopped it only got more lethal
crazy enough he dropped 40 the night before against the pacers
I remember this game vividly! I was in college and doing homework while watching the game and all of sudden Steph started going off so I texted my homies to come by and we all were in awe of him. Couldn’t believe our eyes what he was doing…
Steph made me believe things are possible that I didn’t think would be.
Sorry. How does the conversation go from SC30 to G talking about himself and who he opened for. The need to drop names...
I was so confused about that. I had no idea who he was. Why are you studying Little Wayne anyways? Do your own thing. haha.
I literally watched Melo hit a game winner in a playoff game vs The Mavs from 2009 on NBA TV today. So yes there’s a place to watch old NBA games. I watch those type of games literally everyday
You only saw it because they chose to show it. That’s his point. There should be a way to find any game you wanna watch from the past.
Sounds like a highlight video and not a full game
I feel like curry and pg are some of the few players to get better after injuries
*Little did we know that was juat a prelude of what was to come, dude has changed the game as we know it and as a Warriors fan, it was a fever dream reliving that moment, the days of being a poverty franchise was over at that very game, albeit took two more years but you get the point.*
Damn that G-Eazy story was hard to listen to. Felt like I lost at least a few brain cells following him speak. no offense.
Fr he just wanted to throw himself in the mix 😂
@@VGalvez-gk5qu 😂 he was itching to throw something in
ong
Respectfully... why tf is G-Eazy there? LMAOOOOO
240p 😂😂😂 I love Mero the boy funny & he be right
G Eazy comparing himself to Steph Curry lol
I don’t think that it was more of comparing but more of the fact that he was studying the game and made a relation to see how he was coming up as a rookie in the game as Steph was
Why is G eazy here,Put that man on Joe Rogan or some not here
G easy on Joe rogan is crazyyy
He’s from the bay
That’s the day Steph looked back true hall of famer
Crazy to know that CP used to bring Steph to the workouts
Born & bred, Carolina kids!
I remember watching the game thinking all Steph shots were Lucky .. legend
My mom and me watched that game live and I knew he ARRIVED and made a name for himself. League wasn’t the same after this season
That was the first time Steph got on my radar. Melo was my favorite player and Steph went Awf……I was big mad lol
I haven't missed a Steph curry game since that night.
we had a superstar in the Bay!
GEazy was supposed to be bigger than he is now. I respect his choice on not being the biggest star, but he has it all and could’ve had it all -ahla a Drake -imo
Curry is a Bad Man all the time.
I paused mid way while G easy was talking. I feel bad.
I’ll never forget that game . never knew of Steph before. It . I genuinely couldn’t believe he wasn’t an allstar at the time
Sooooo we forget Steph was like that before all that at Davidson!? By pass Davidson crazy era as well…knicks game is where we starting???!
8:24 I see what y’all did here
I remember that game and i was like wtf this guy making mad 3s, then Facebook was going wild LOL saying curry getting hot in msg but Knicks were good enough to win TOO
This was a hard watch. Melo not really answering the question properly and g eazy just talking bout whole lotta nothing hahah
Melo we need you next round versus Boston
It was either see Kobe first game in barclays, or see the warriors who were hot at that time play the knicks. though i cherish that Kobe game, im still kicking myself for not going to that warriors game
Shoutout Melo! Denver did him dirty with the number 15 giving it to jokic
He’ll no
Ya need to have New York rappers on ya podcast. Melo you owe.
You can 100% go back and watch old games on league pass I watched the 2015 finals the other day.
What’s the name of Mel’s shoes, I want those.
Missed him by one pick 😢
The NBA app has games from 2012-2013
Melo just be talking out his ahh some times
Damn didn't realize G-Eazy sittin in the middle
Melo would always put his hand out to block his opps vision so that it would throw them off! Come though this is Steph we are talking about #ghostnation
Why is G Easy there?
Carmelo didn't answer the question
This dude in the middle, cant remember his name damn *kevin hart snapping fingers* Said not a damn thing...

Melo wasn’t a fit for the nuggets. George Karl was trash
What’s his name Geazy? Bro can’t tell stories for shit 🤣🤣🤣
Yerrr MELO!! Hit me ASAP
Mello was a great player. Terrible personality ball hugger refuse to past the ball. Killed is own career did it all the wrong way! No ring no team wanted him teammates never cared for him. Attention seeker ended badly Sad! 🤔🙆🙆🙆🙆🤦🤦🤦🤦
I couldn’t even watch this whole video. Who is this white dude? Why did Yal bring him on here. Whoever idea this was. Terrible idea.
For real he is a terrible story teller and added nothing
Being an ex-NBA player doesn't mean you should discard the basic grammar of the English language. You have influence and young people look up to you, so set a good example, even in your language usage.
