    I am so happy that ppl are coming out about their breast reductions. The narrative for us women has been about making them bigger...so it's great to see all of us changing that narrative.

    I had my reduction 2 weeks ago. From the first appointment, my doctor told me to think really hard about what size I wanted and he would get me as close as he could. I told him I wanted a full C/no more than a D. I went from 42N to a 40D and I am SO happy. He told me i could change my mind up until the surgery because he wanted me happy. Love my surgeon for that.

    Hi! I'm so happy to see a Black woman talk about her breast reduction because brown and black skin heals different than white/light skin. I did have one question that I don't remember you answering and that was if your nipples still have sensation? You mentioned that the scars areas are still numb so I imagine that means around the areola too but have you regained any sensation in the actual nipple? That's always been one of the things that scared me.

      I usually have really bad motion sickness and get nauseous really easily. I had my surgery about 1.5 weeks ago. They gave me a scopolamine patch prior to surgery during pre-op and it really helped. Wasn’t too nauseous and kept the patch for three days. You might also get prescribed some zofran to help with nausea.

      @cynthialeveque6606 2 года назад +2

      @@sevim7373 I definitely recommend it. I wish I would have done it years ago. It truly is life changing. I had to fight the insurance company for over a year and I'm glad I did. The insurance company denied me twice. I requested they send it to outside review company and the review company immediately overturned their denial. With my insurance coverage (high deductible) I ended up paying about $2,800 and insurance covered the rest. My doctor charges approx. $9,500 for procedure without insurance coverage. Good luck and do your research. I'm healing wonderfully. I'm checking out clothes I couldn't wear before. I can wear button up blouses that actually fit me.

      you have to convince them your breasts are causing a lot of health issues! even if your back pain isn’t 10/10, def make it seem like it. they may make you try physical therapy first but that never works, so once your doctor sees it didn’t work, they will refer you to a plastic surgeon and from there you have to complain about back/shoulder pain ,and hope insurance approves!

Last year in Ireland they denied me surgery here because I'm too fat, true ; But I was at my highest 180 pounds. Sushmita: 100% wearing a bra is crucial - you need to support those new 'girls' Wraring the ones with a zip and hooks in front (no underwire) is well structured and worth the price. Wear a 'comfort bra' (mine is made from bamboo fusion into stretch fabric and well structured for sleeping - very cool) works wonders perfect 💞 👌

    I totally understand you about the size it is now. I have those moments too! Where I think they could be smaller, but then I realise it fits my body proportions actually good. And also, the first weeks/months after my surgery I was scared they would grow again😂 and had to check the mirror several time a day to make sure they weren't big again... 🫢
