Fun fact: a lot of people thought the high pitched part in the beginning and chorus was edited to make the pitch higher but they actually sang it that high. Highly recommend you to check their uncut recording videos, you will see how they record their songs 😊😊
Yea. I totally agree about it sounding a bit different. The Hot Sauce era was different for everyone because
1. It's their first full length album.
2. It's an era with dream that is finally bk as 7dream. In the past it was very rare for their to be a 7dream comeback because there were always problems.
3. It's an era where they turn a new leaf.
I think the comments that u saw before was about the meaning of NCT Dream. NCT Dream is the subunit of the young members. In the past they had youthful conceptual songs. Hello Future reminded fans of that time but they don't always do youthful concepts. In 2018 for NCT2018 Empathy Album they were growing up and so they started doing mature conceptual songs. My recommendation is that you should start with their debut song and up for ur next NCT Dream reaction. In order its:

Trigger the Fever(World Cup Song)
We Young
Go
We Go Up
Don't Need Your Love ft HRVY

Also that mumbling sound at the beginning is actually Spanish "Menea para abajo, y que menea para abajo" which translated to wiggle down or get down. The translation is different for everyone though.

So this song was definitely not really about actual Hot Sauce the memebers said it as well. It's kinda about the heat of attraction between someone, OR something else 🤐 I will not speak about what else it could mean. But NCT Dream are a very charming and entertaining unit don't let those baby faces fool you, Renjun dude with the 2 toned hair became my ult bias completely on accident. They also have a rep in NCT 127 for being "scary" 😂
The one that does solo dance during the second chorus is Jisung, and yes Mark is a main dancer in both 127 (with Taeyong and Yuta) and Dream (with Jisung). He just works so hard all the time to perfect his art, be it rapping or dancing, and I love him a lot for that. In NCT Dream, everyone is a very good dancer so the group is very well balanced.
Also, yes, this kind of song is new for Dream, as in, this is not their usual sound. I personally love Hello Future that has Dream’s refreshing signature sound better, but I guess it’s okay to branch out as long as they still slay it lol. As they grew older, I think they want to explore more options. They might not want to do stuff like Chewing Gum when the youngest member is also already an adult hehe. Honestly, Hot Sauce was also a song that grew on me, so I understand you.
Also, a small trivia. The dreamies currently has the best selling album in SM (Hot Sauce sold like 2.5 million copies and Hello Future as a repackage sold around 1.25 million) and is one of the best selling artists in Korea nowadays, only after BTS. I don’t usually like to talk about sales because I ABSOLUTELY think that sales number does not always translate to quality but I’m just so happy for them. They’ve been through a lot and have sacrificed their childhood for training and their friendship is very heartwarming. They deserve nice things.

their main vibe is similar to hello future! they said themselves that it’s like a gift to fans that have been with them for a while. it’s a “dream-like song” according to them. they do have a few more “mature” songs like hot sauce, boom, go and ridin. the rest are “dream-like” songs!
Hi RJ! The Dreamies have two types of fans. The first team likes their wholesome, youthful, colorful songs like Chewing Gum, My First and Last, We Go Up and Hello Future. The other team likes powerful songs like Go, Boom, Ridin’ and Hot Sauce. They were REALLY young when they debuted (they were all minors, and Jisung was a baby!), and their songs were really youthful and innocent. But our boys are all adults now and their style evolved. For this era, Dive Into You and Hello Future are a celebration of their reunion as 7Dream: a time for reminiscing about their younger selves, when they debuted as a 7 member team five years ago. Still, they do cute and colorful songs better than many.

You know what? "Hot Sauce" is absolutely my favorite song from Dream ❤
Trust me this song will absolutely grow on you. I mean I fell in love with it right away but I know some people it took them a while to like it lol.

Many of songs in Hot Sauve album are not the same like Hot Sauce, because Hot Sauce just waaaay to HOT 🔥🔥
There's bright vibe like "Dive in to you", ballad like "Be there for you", warm like "Rainbow", etc.
If you start from their debuted songs, you'll find dream songs like Hello Future vibe. They start to make more mature sounds (song) in 2018 with title song "Go", it's on the Emphaty album (NCT 2018) and continued since then 😁
The "who is that?" kid name is Park Jisung, he's the maknae of all NCT members, one of the main dancer of NCT.
And no, you didn't see mark in the guide part 2, because mark is in the maknae part after Lucas. And why is mark seems always in the center, it's because he is the main dancer of the group 😁

the majority of the title track songs are more hello future vibe, but the last couple newer ones like hot sauce have been a little edgier.

the chorus and the beat drop threw me off, but they kinda grew on me after a lot of other listens, hahah, but it's def not my favorite song from them, glad that they gave us ''hello future'' right away. well, at least it looked like they had fun with this one and this was def a very unique song for them and kpop in general, sm is always experimenting, specially with nct. the b-sides on the album, on the other hand, were way better than the title-track. ''dive into you'' is amazing, it'd have made a really good title-track. rocket, rainbow, life it's still going and be there for you(it's a ballad) were really, really good. btw, the one you pointed out around 1:20 with the blue suit and the dark hair is jaemin and the one with the white shirt around 3:13 that you asked is jeno. :)

The looping intro and prechorus distorted words is someone saying "menea para abajo". it's Spanish.

I was the same too! The chorus threw me off a lot but I loved the prechorus so much so I didn’t know how I felt about it. It has grown on me, but it’s still one of my least favorite title tracks from them. I feel like everyone is split in the fandom on whether they love it or not 😅
