2:13 if I remember correctly, they were supposed to name something that annoys them about the other - since Yuta and Jaehyun share a dorm, Jaehyun "attacked" first by stating that Yuta should close the toothpaste after brushing his teeth. Yuta couldn't argue about it (because he prob does forget to close the toothpaste), but when everyone began to agree he threaten to reveal something big and got everyone scared :D
3:10 everyone made a timetable about what they normaly do in a day (to decide what to show for their relaycams) and Yuta wrote "secret" from 10-12pm, implying private times.

From what I know, they can't swear bc kpop is usually targeted towards younger audience, teenagers and they can't be the bad influence on them. Korea is very strict about things like that, for other example tattoos need to be cover on TV cuz it's also "bad influence" on kids and teenagers
Yea sadly the "Idol" thing is taken pretty seriously which is why they have a LOT of pressure on them to be perfect 24/7. However luckily fans have finally realized that their idols are humans too and we are slowly making progress as the years progress.
A really good video that just came out is reacting to nct moments you probably forgot by kbopping. Honestly i didn't even know alot of the moments and they're all top tier.
I was kinda surprised that groups nowadays try not to curse, that what they can talk about is somewhat restricted. I'm used to 2nd gen groups and lots of them just run their mouths, may be it's because they're from a different time. For example, members from Super Junior (an older group also from SM) argue and curse all the time on any show and they just bleep them out. Like let newer idols express themselves freely what's the big deal.
Yeah, I'm an older kpop fan (been here since 2003 when Buzz debuted, lol) and Idol culture has definitely changed a lot with the advent of social media today.

There is a reason why Yuta is my bias🤣
That is why they are called Idols -- Kpop IDOLS -- because they are supposed to be held to a higher standard and Idolized as perfect examples without any flaws, etc. SM was the one that created the Idol culture and decided that in order to create a successful group the members needed to be held to a higher standard. (Not saying I agree with expecting them to be less human, but that is where the idea comes from.)
That's why it is considered a major scandal when we find out that an Idol is dating, or they are less pure than the image they are supposed to portray. Because they become human and are no longer an Idol figure. And it's pretty hard to redeem your image and become pure and innocent again once it is revealed that you are actually human and have flaws. (It's like becoming a fallen angel -- once your wings are removed, they can't be put back on. And, if by some miracle, they can be restored, it takes a really long time for them to grow back, as they try to regain their Idol image.) That's why, for example, most idols don't get married until way later in their life or they wait until they retire from the industry, because they need to always appear as if they are pure, innocent and available to fans so they can continue to be idolized over. (They often wait until their fans have reached an age where they are all married and have families of their own, which makes it a little less scandalous when they get married. Not saying it still doesn't often cause problems, but it's less risky that way.)
That's why they often start as trainees when they are really young, so the company is able to mold them and make them into the Idol that they want. That way they can control more easily what is presented to the public, because the company is the ones that has essentially raised them. (I don't mean to make it sound like they are just robots that a company molds and creates, but that's kind of what it's like. To be an idol you have to buy into this process and be willing to follow this standard.)
When SM (Lee SooMan) was first starting out in the music industry, his first artist got into some legal trouble and caused some major issues, so that was what caused him to decide that in order to be successful he needed to create a whole new standard and culture to try and ensure that his artists where people the public could look up to and there would already be preconceived expectations of how they would act and present themselves, so that they could try to avoid creating a bad image.
And that was when H.O.T. -- High five Of Teenager -- the very first Kpop idol boy group, was born.
And with the success of SM's new Kpop Idol model other companies started to adopt the same structure and standard as they tired to compete with SM. And thus, the Kpop industry as we know it was formed. SM was the first to pretty much create everything we know as a part of Kpop today and all other companies followed him.

They always provide summary and context of the clip being shown, subtitles that are easy to see, and neat video/clip references besides the fire editing skills. Hi Rj..sorry 8months late here but I really enjoy your reactions.. also I totally agree with you when you said "i dont think i wanna see that anyways" lol..thats definitely me! And yes theres a line that should not be crossed😅 definitely true!Also just want you to Know SouthKorea is a "veryConservativeCountry and "Image" is very important to them"... so that explains the whole no cursing rule and them knowing how to be humble and should stay humble as an idol.. thats why sometimes as kpop fan I often cant help but doubt if the image the idols are showing is really genuine or just them pretending to be that nice, innocent etc.. just for the cause of good image..I mean for me its better to show to the people what your idols really are not fake their whole identity just so you can have a very perfect image. I mean they are human! Nobody is perfect! Especially cause almost all kpop idols have a Very very Super "Angelic face" lol..So it also helps them fit in that "nice, cute, innocent image" koreans want to show to the audience! thats just the thing i find it really weird in Koreanculture..but either than that I actually respect the part that they really do teach their idols to be humble no matter what...

i think they cant curse because a lot o kids and teens love kpop too, so the idols have to be an example yk for the young generation, for example doyoung got a little surprised that person was only 14yrs liking nct and their stuff

They don't try to curse because the audience who look up to them are very young (2008 and even younger) and yk young ones follow footsteps of their favorites /older brothers,so they don't want the younger fans to learn bad stuffs like cursing I mean c'mon cursing is not a good habit/manner. why idol cant curse maybe because culture in asia teaches us to be polite. that’s why it’s a little hard to be ‘rude’ here.
It's like when tattoos are blurred on when everyone already knows they have them. What's the point 😅 if people are so afraid of their children being influenced they simply have to raise them better. Knives and cigarettes are blurred on tv shows on certain channels too 😐
People know idols aren't that sanitary but still get mega shook when they do something remotely similar to what other people their ages are doing; like dating, cursing, saying the wrong thing etc.

I think cussing isn't allowed because idols are seen as "role models" for young kids but honestly most young kids like literally everywhere in the world curse anyways so lol

Oh yea....kpop rules of conduct are suuuuuuper different not just from the company but from some fans too like 6mnths or so ago somebody posted pic of Lucas smoking a cigarette...everybody act like to lost their minds...that is a WHOLE ass grown man ..meanwhile we over here openly singing drugs and pills anthems ....gtfoh
