Seems you can just jump out of the electricity circle. Think i had a bug, i couldnt get out
You get spellbind specifically for that last golden phase just use that it pops him out of his golden shell very easily.
Luckily for me when that happened I had him on a long stun lock
This boss made me refund the game. Absolute garbage design. Whoever designed this boss fight deserves cancer lol.
if i hit the boundary of the circle on the floor, then i would be stuck for a couple secondes. If i jumped over the circle without touching it, then i was able to clear it easily.
JUST HEAVY ATTACK WITH THE GAINED FOCUS AND CHARGED FOCUS WITH YHE SLAM STANCE

You can use L2 on ps5 to block the electricity bolts shot at you in the electricity circle. Its the whirling staff move for projectiles.

Don't use any spell. Just kick his ass and he won't go gold mode as much. He does when you use spells. Just fight

Nah, I didn't use and the mfr went gold, you can break the golden state by using charged attacks and immobilizer spell I guess
A great tip for 3rd phase with this guy is change your armor for the Serpentscale Battlerobe, it's constantly keeping you alive when you don't have any more heals.
Just use the spellbinder. I swear this is easier than chapter 1 and 2 final boss. Make sure to allocate spirits to spellbinder and max it out. Just spam light attacks, and when he is turning gold, just charge your heavy and hit him. It should immediately stagger him.
I tried, and tried. Didn’t realize spellbinder existed. Also, didn’t realize you can teleport back to a shrine with the totem in your inventory. Went and got it, absolutely devastated the dude.

Was stuck on this boss for so long because I didn't know how to leave and come back (to adjust my sparks) but after watching your guide I was able to figure out the strategy even with the same set-up. Thanks a lot!

3 hours wasted without spell binder. Then figured out how to leave (thanks Google). One try with spell Binder and half of my health left lol

If you actually charge your attack, you can remove his gold armor much sooner. It even staggers him.
That and focus attacks 👍
Get Spellbinder through the Treasure Hunter side quest, break his gold outershell, and then cheese him with martial arts and stances.
I just beat him my on Second try using spellbinder i think it’s what u need to use for him
just so you know, with that circle move when he shoots the projectiles, you can just jump out of the ring
This boss was annoying but i realized it didn't really take any special tricks to beat , you just need to die alot until you memorize his every move set and the dodge timing try to take almost no damage for the first half and use your transform early so you can get it twice. Pop a damage buff and defense buff only after you are sure this is the run meaning you've done a good job dodging for first half. Really just reps
You literally just described every challenging boss fight in the game lol. These tips guides with really specific builds are trash, every boss that has stumped me I overcame from practice. I have only re-sparked once. Some of these RUclipsrs make it way more complicated than it needs to be lol.

Thank you for the guide. after several try I managed to beat him. just a bit of tips:
1. charge full focus before entering the fight. free damage.
2. use transformation when 1/4 of his health is left.
3. the most important one is time your heavy attack so you can cancel his heavy attack.

This last run I did, he didn't go to that corner. He went to the side. And then when I used the Wind vessel on him to stop his ultimate move, he got up and went berserk. I think I broke him.
Don't use immobilise and pluck of monkey on this boss in 2nd phase and it will be way easier to defeat him. Immobilise allows him turn into golden way more that normal and while pluck of monkey it would hypnotise your clones to attack you.
as soon as you can, jump and do a heavy attack, this always gets me out of the circle
You can jump over the little electricity circle. Also the unskippable cutscene is skippable if you cloud step and run away.
with that electricity circle just use staff spin to parry those projectiles and with that power up that he uses just go as far away even in the corner those bolts wont reach you
Took my 3 tries only thing that caught me off guard was his chain combo where the ball tracked you at certain times, when the circle sprung up I stunned him outta gold mode so gave me time to recover and attack. Sorta surprised to see a lot of people having trouble with this dude. I had more trouble with the blind monks and their aoe punches 😅
With the attack in yhe final phase where you said tank with transformation, you can actually use your windbreaker to knock him out of the attack
Just beat bro I took a 30 min break and went to work. U really gotta throw everything at him from the jump
I found an easier way, when you first go in run, charge until the 3 pills are full, and when he appears hit him. Then hit him with the Head butt guy after that freeze him. Also Make sure to fully upgrade your staff spin before going to the boss, because once you freeze only use the staff spin to not only build your 3 pills but regain your head but guy. The boss will go gold hit him with the heavy staff and he will come out of the gold and get stun. You can then use freeze and hopefully use the head butt guy, if not just use spin until you rebuild the head butt guy and 3 pills again. At this point he will go to 2nd phase. You and freeze him in 2nd and 3rd phase once you hit him in golf with the full pill bars. You can't use clone while he is gold because he will turn your clones against you. I did not use clones to beat him.
The thing is he's not hard once you learn his attacks you end up seeing that he is more gimmicky than anything
Weird thing about this game. I’ll be stuck on a boss for like 2 hours and then eventually I either just end up beating the crap out of them easy AF or I beat them with like 2% of my health.

Yin Tiger is a beast of a fight. The hardest boss I've encountered the whole game thus far. But only because he tends to be a bit unpredictable sometimes, it seems. Even Yellowbrow, who is kicking my ass even with this guide, isn't as hard as Yin Tiger. I can get Yellowbrow down to a quarter of his health left regularly. I can barely scratch Yin Tiger before he merks me.
you can actualy jump out of that electric circle he traps you in when he shoots the bolts at your . if anything you can use ring of fire and it gives you health back if you upgraded it enough
Bug
The circle attack you have to jump out, not rolling, not dodging... Just jump button.
I used for final fight smash stance with pilgrim gear upgraded arms and legs to legendary, 3 focus points to run and charge heavy attack, remember when he charges electric field he is open for an attack you'll notice it and you can hit him with full 3 point focus charge attack when he's in gold mode and attack.

Spellbinder cheeses him. Worth the effort to get that spell. Once you have it, cast it at the beginning and then simply stay alive and dodge damage but do as much as you can. Heal up as soon as you get out of the cinematic. Took me 2 tries after using spellbinder.

No spells. He counters all of them. Use light attacks and dodges to do all the damage and then a charged up 3 focus heavy can help break his bronze mode faster but only do it when he is talking or when their is an opportunity.
Rinse and repeat. Remember to heal after every phase cut scene

Who ever mad the third phase has gone to far like half the time he was invincible so no damage and you don't even do much damage when he is not invincible
When you are in the circle just hold L2 that blocks it
when he traps you in the circle you can just jump lol.

honestly the problem with this boss isnt even his moves its his ability to drain ur health during a cutscene. that shud never be a thing that needs to be addressed. i also noticed if u have full health and never used ur healing goured he actulaly takes some of that away as well which is insane. and for at least me thats huge cuz i use the one that heals u fully on the first sip of it and by him taking that away it completly ruins my healing

Worst boss so far. Any boss that has cut scenes in the middle of the fight is instantly trash in my opinion. Might be the boss that makes me drop the game tbh. Its just getting boring to me. The fact that there is no shrine to change abilities, and such up at 3rd part is such a stupid idea too.
There is. Use you thing in inventory that transports you to the last shrine you were at. Respect and it takes you back.

Just so everyone knows you can get of of the circle if you jump but you can't be up against the line or else it wont let you out. So make a little space between u and the line when you jump out the circle

Hitting him when he’s gold doesn’t do anything until he teleports
WE WERE GIVEN SPELL BINDER INSTEAD OF A VESSEL IN CHAPTET 3. HENCE WHY YOU GOT IT FROM A SECRET BOSS NPC QUEST FIGHT.

taking dmg from an unskippable cutscene is the stupidest thing I've ever seen who thought "yea make the fucking cutscene do damage"
This might be the worst design for a boss fight i have ever experienced in my time gaming. A three part boss fight with another three part variant in the last part of the intial fight but the guy can also go invunerable with 2 unskippable cutscenes that FORCE you to take damage and use your gourd... My only advice is that wondering wight fully upgraded will break his gold form immediately, do it at the start when he turns gold the first time, immobilize him, then summon clones to get at least half his health. I could always get him to the last phase but would always run out out mana with one gold form left. Just easy pickings after that for him cause you have to spend 2 minutes which every gamer knows is an eternity just trying to break that gold form. It takes at least 2 shots with 3 focus points built up to do it. 😅
Any gamer with the "just get good" advice can eat a dick cause at this point you just have to have a lucky run.

Not as hard as many people think.. Tip 1: you can actually jump out of the electric circle. Tip 2: Def use the long scale armour as thunder reduction buff etc. Tip 3: use a 3 focus point smash move to break him out of his golden state. Tip 4: save your clone spell until you can immobilise him. Tip 5: save at least 3 heals for that stupid cut scene move he does.. Done it in 3 tries. Good luck
I was enjoying this game until this boss. I love souls games, i usually tell people git gud, but this aint a skill issue this is straight up bad gaming design lol all the guides i see people are just lucky to beat him. And we are stuck here without a shrine. Gold statue is bs, losing hp in a cutscene is bs. Our monkeys attacking us is bs. Lol just spent 3h trying to beat him. I almost deleted the game. Tomorrow will try one last time.
Beat him before 2 days.... pretty easy i can say... 1st phase with 2nd try, 2nd phase with 1st try... and 3nd phase is the most difficult one but i beat him on my 5th try. Its easy when you memorize his 2, 3 attack.... Follow this guide because elbethium have done again a pretty damn good and easy guide...
P. S TIP i discover... In the 3rd phase every time after the mini cut scenes when the boss hit you down...immediatly shadow step to be invisible and hit him... Thats way every time you cancel his lighting attack🤣🤣🤣🤣 what an old and slow fa.....

surprisingly only boss major boss i beat in less than 5 tries (got him on my third). I upgraded my gourd and permanent stats like crazy as well. Also staff stance helps when in the circle
