    Nile I am 10 and a gymnast too I am in the squad and I train every day apart from Friday and Sunday. I do:
    Monday=3 hours
    Tuesday=3 hours
    Wednesday=3 hours
    Thursday=3 hours
    Saturday=6 hours
    I look up to you as I carry on trading (aiming for 2028 olympics! 😀)

    Enjoyed the humour in this episode! Was nice to see the training you do when you are fatigued. I find it really frustrating when I can't do the things I usually can, so I think when I feel like this again, just slow it down and stick to basics. then come back stronger another day!
    Overall, great vid Nile! 😀

    Hi Nile, my name is Mia and I train 3 times a week at kingfisher gymnastics club in North London. We have a really small gym and we are finally getting a sprung floor. I don't do artistic gymnastics, I only compete on floor and vault and in general gymnastics, we are not as good as those in artistic. My mum has put me forward for an artistic gymnastics camp for a week in April and I would just like some tips on what conditioning exercises I could do at home. I am very weak in the arms and upper body meaning I can't do a chin up ( which is a bit embarrassing) and considering I am going to this camp where we will train on bars and beam as well as vault and floor, I will need to catch up to everyone else who does bars and beam.
    Thank for reading this and by the way I am your biggest fan.
    From
    Mia

    Great vid again man - its got me pumped for Ring's Play today!
    Do you have any foods that you feel have positively or negatively affected your training sessions? For example, anything high in processed sugar before a workout noticeably effects your energy levels (for better or worse).

    • @NileWilsonGymnast
      @NileWilsonGymnast  9 лет назад +1

      Tyson Edwards Thank man! Yeah smash it..... Foods high in sugar give a positive effect for around 30 minutes to an hour, however after this I feel my energy & concentration plummets... Stick to fresh foods & long lasting carbs - oats, whole grain bread, rice, potatoes.. having something compact during training (banana/protein flap jack) i feel really benefits me.. only if you mind eating while training... Hope this helps.

    Nice video and great idea for the videos.
    When you are in the gym or at home or just walking around and decide to try something new or just goofy does that new movement mess with or confuse your brain/muscle memory for your professional routines?

      Gary Packwood Thank you Gary!.. I'm not sure I totally understand what you mean by new & goofy? however not much I do day to day appart from nutrition & recovery really effects my gymnastics. I also have no superstitions or rituals that will throw me off if i don't stick to them.

      Nile Wilson | Thanks for the reply. I am very interested in muscle/brain memory and I noticed several months ago that Epke Zonderland talks about his gym ritual for anything involving body movement as ONLY (1) strength (2) conditioning and (3) formal gymnastic routines. That sounds to me like a ritual designed by a hospital based physical therapist ... which would be a very good thing for someone interested in brain/muscle memory. An example of 'new and goofy' would be 'parkour-training' which sure enough could confuse brain/muscle memory, I would think. Good luck to you and your teammates as you prepare fro Rio and beyond.

    Your shake looks interesting, i would like to try it myself but I don't get why you take the Herbalife h24 rebuild endurance supplement. This product is supposed to be taken after endurence training to recover. Since you said you just woke up i don't really get it.

    Hi Nile , wondering if you can help me ... I get really bad mental blocks when I'm doing round off flick tuck or straight backs due to landing on my neck a few weeks ago , I really want to be able to do them again and I get enough height to do so but it's just the fear taking over me x

    Hi Nile I'm interested in your smoothie but I'm allergic to nuts. Would the smoothie still taste nice without the nuts and what can I swap the nutty ingredients with please?? Thank you

    Awesome video man! What food would you suggest to eat if your trying to bulk and how often are you meant to eat? I'm quite a small guy and have been going to the gym for about 1 1/2 years but want to really gain some mass but also get good abs! What would you suggest? Thanks, Ben

      Benjamin Richer Thanks Ben!... I'm not a big expert on this mate as my sport is all about staying light & lean. To gain muscle you need to eat more calories than you are burning. Protein is really important for muscle building so I would maybe suggest having a source of protein every 3 hours. It might help trying to add in some shakes similar to what I had. Hope this helps

      Thanks buddy.. I have a protein shake everyday after my gym session in the morning, but I do not think I eat enough calories and do not eat regularly enough, so ill give that a go, as I am trying to get a build like yours.. gotta keep working... 'The struggle is real'..

      Think about your goals, what do you want to achieve? and what do you need to do to get yourself there? If you want it enough then you'll make sacrifices to get there👊🏼

    I'm trying to get muscle ups on the rings and I'm wondering what exercises I can do to build up the strength to do a muscle up on the rings. Thanks man! Keep with the amazing content and awesome inspiration!

      Hey man I'm currently working on muscle up content so stay tuned 😉👊🏼 For now chins & dips on Pbars, then transition to rings are what will build strength quickest. Also work on your false grip strength 💪🏼

    Hi Nile, I'm not a gymnast (although I've always wished I was), but I do a lot of surf lifesaving over summer. My main disciplines are board and ski (similar to Olympic kayaking in waves). I'm trying to improve my overall strength and flexibilty which is currently far below where I want it to be. Do you have any recommendations for a daily routine I can do at home to improve these areas?
    Thank you for all your videos and being the inspiration you are!

    Dude you're like the awesomest. I get so jelly seeing all the skills you're up to. Yeah you inspire me to train harder. cheers for that. To expand your channel you could probably do tutorials for individual skills on apparatus since there really aren't many good ones on RUclips. otherwise you're doing great! * thumbs up *. Will I verse you at 2020 Japanese Games?
