I'm pretty stoked for it. Haven't been exited for a game in a while, but this has a lot of my interests. Horror, war, being an unaligned merc in the middle of a war, stealth and looting.
at 9:10 to Answer what you said about the large-scale battle it makes the world feal more alive it makes the war feel like it will happen regardless of if you are there or not that was the feel and direction that the devs fun dog studios meant to give off with not only with the trailers but the gameplay.
That last robot was "Toothy". It's attempting to achieve immortality via dissolving biological organisms in that backpack. Originally, it was a medical robot meant to *save* lives.
From the looks of it those bodies that get dumped out of the stealth bomber are cyborgs not zombies, and wondering where they get the bodies to make those cyborgs I can make a pretty good guess whats gonna happen to the guy that got picked up the big robot in the end.
If you notice at 10:43 there are body parts coming out of that "backpack". I think it isn't for harvesting bodies, it's just a weapon where the mech puts enemies and they get crushed.
@@Tavernadolobo I actually saw a post from Kai Lim - one of the art designers with a mech that looks similar like the one from the first trailer, nicknamed "Toothy" and he has bodybags with living bodies used as biobatteries, also cages where he puts captured prisoners who will later probably be used as biobatteries too. But it looked different than this "crusher" thing, I guess this one is just a weapon, perhaps for turning people into some sort of a biomass which can be harvested and processed later, used for god knows what (food? energy?)
Okay, after few weeks of checking stuff up everywhere I could, even exchanging messages with few people related to the game I finally know what's going on. Toothy is a rogue (ex-euruska) AI, who uses living organisms (preferably humans) as bio-batteries. He was releasing the remains of an old, used victim, to make place for a new, fresh one. The small bugs that you see are actually AI too and they are there to clean him, repair him, or help him in battle as a distraction.
Forever Winter has a lot of heavy inspirations from classic anime's like Blame, Ghost in the Shell (1999), Magnetic Rose, Patlabor, etc., games like GTFO and prey 2 (rest in peace), and films like Mad God (this is the heaviest inspiration by far). the devs are also massive fans of all of Mamoru Oshii's works. i recommend watching them all, it basically evokes a very 80s/90s grim dark feeling and stylization that has been lost from media for ages now.
Tsutomu Nihei´s art is such a big influence in this game i love it! The shot where they jump over the gap is straight out of Netflix´s BLAME! in the beginning
If yall got confuzed on what the game actualy is basicaly u and 3 ppl are a bunch of scav in the middle of a warzone betwen 2 empires u 4 need to take what ever u can from the battle field u will not be targeted by any army at first as they dont see u as a treat but if u give them a reason they will kill u
the game is being made by multiple people of different games like witcher 3 harry potter legacy hawken deus ex horizon and many others i think the claymation look of the characters might be a borderlands person just minus overly cartoonish look or maybe someone from the little nightmares game ruclips.net/user/shortsql7u_lax3MU
nice work, i recommend another star wars old republic cinematic named "disorder" .. its the most recent with the best quality.

Thats awesome
It also keeps its victims alive for around 1-3 days which is just terrifying to think about
He literally wears the plastic bags filled with their corpses as a sort of cape

I saw a video saying the robots harvest human and animal organs, maybe it processes the bodies and dump the remainings

Fun Dog just released the full uncut version of this trailer.
Keep them videos coming Josiah! Also it reminds me a little bit of Warhammer 40k
React to full length trailer that recently released!
Still eager and waiting to see the breakdown of the full-length cinematic trailer.
Another cool vid. If you are interesting to some classic Gaming cutscenes to react to may I suggest Warhammer: Dawn of War I opening cutscene?

Ya, awesome cinematic. The game is crazy and sweaty fun.
I think the mechs backpack was a meat grinder or something, cause we see the mech drop something gory before it turns…
It dissolves people in the bags for energy and replaces thier organs with fake ones until there's nothing left 💀
Nice analysis men, I've watched all your reacts in a row! You should check the ADAM series made in unity. I would love to se your analysis! ❤
you should react to the warframe trailer
