How do you celebrate ? Do you also decorate your home ?
As you said it's nice to decorate here especially since kids see Christmas decorations. I will definitely decorate this year. Thank you for the ideas. Your kids are super cute MashaAllah.
We do decorate with lights and lanterns but focus more on zikar and how much time we can spend connecting with Allah SWT. My 16 and 11 years old daughters focus more in connection while my 8 and 5 years old focus more on what will they have for aftaar so we make the most of it and enjoy the beauty of this time. MAY Allah take us to Ramdan together Ameen

Yessss we do. I started decorating several year back DIY job. As my 1sy born was 4 5 years old and I was feeling sad she wasn't excited enough for Ramadan. So I started making DIY projects for Ramadan after 3 4 years now the decor is everywhere. And Im so so glad alhumthulillah. I'm happy to see families making memories life is so short and children will remember these memorable moments. With the lights all month long and the lanterns, quran prayers etc.
Assalamualaikum Sis please please don’t put the Holy Quran on the floor 🥺🥺 It makes it so difficult for me to continue to watch, I’m just constantly looking at the Quran which you put down on the floor 🥺 you maybe didn’t know, I’m here to tell you to not do that again please 🥺 we should respect the Quran, it is not just like a regular book, it‘s Allah‘s words in it , the most high! You can put it on a table! At least just a bit higher but not on the floor where we put our foot 🦶 on the ground! Allahu Akbar , please 🥺 we shouldn’t do that🥺✨ stay blessed ✨
My dear, please don't put the Quraan and Islamic books on the floor, perhaps put them on a bookcase or a shelf x lovely decor mashallah! Very good to teach the kids why we do things in our deen so they may understand and increase the love for it. X

It's totally halal to decorate houses in Ramadan because it's our holy month . Please don't disturb others .

I love this. It’s so interesting to see people decorating for Ramadan. In the country that I live in, we don’t normal decorate for Ramadan but rather for Eid. I think this is a great way to encourage the kids. Growing up in a multicultural society where we are a minority and not everyone celebrates Ramadan, it is really not easy, especially for the younger children - the temptation to break fast when you see your friends having good lunch in school or even when you’re just sitting at home. So I’m really glad to see that the children have something to look forward to and making it joyous in completing Ramadan. Happy Ramadan!

For your advent envelope calendar, in addition to the candies, you can also write small easy good deeds that the kids can do on the spot together before eating the candy. It works for my toddlers and I think might be okay for older kids too👍 I’m also a huge fan of decorating for ramadan for my kids, giving prizes from dollar tree, and getting them excited for it Inshallah❤️

I understand why you say you decorate in shahr al Ramadhan for kids for them to know about it. The thing that stood out for me as child was family getting up for suhoor & doing iftar it was different to other months.
But what happened to Rajab, Shaba'an which have many joyful occasions more than Shahr al Ramadhan. It be nice for kids to learn about these. I feel I don't do enough myself on these special occasions. It makes sense to decorate even more on these occasions.
As Shahr al Ramadhan kids will see the changes extra ibadat, change in routine etc
you are right, celebrating the islamic months and important dates is something i did growing up hamdellah. as a working mother, i try so hard to do it all, but sometimes life catches up.
