Thanks so much for this tutorial, I found it really handy! Can't wait to try it out when I get my hands on the game :)

Thanks for the tutorial. Here is what I found, if you add too many miners to a commander then they crowd around the commander and the transport bot cannot reach them and it stops production. Do we have to limit the commander to miner ratio or do we have to use behaviors to have them move X spots away?

      it always depends ...
eg on the type of minerbot (twinbots can carry two miners) and the type of miners (laser miners work twice as fast). thus laser twinbots mine as much as fast as four simple miners. other points to consider are the type of carrier and their speed, eg transporter bots are relatively fast and have 12 slots (a twinbot with two small storage extensions also has 4+4+4=12 slots but is a little slower), and the length of the transport route to the base.
in my base, with four of these laser twinminers and transport bots for less than 300 tiles distance, the miners usually still are not done when the transporter returns, and thus no problem with overcrowding at the boss bot. this should also apply when you have more and slower miners (4 laser twins = 8 normal twins = 8 normal laser = 16 normal simple miner) but i would recommend to have a max ratio, no more than 8 bots (7 miner of any type and 1 carrier) for 8 tiles around a boss. but it also depends where the boss is standing, whether all 8 tiles around it are reachable and not blocked by resources, trees, mountains, etc, and how long a carrier might be delayed when resources are not used up as fast as he delivers new resources.
especially in those latter cases, a behavior on miners and/or carriers might be useful that checks for empty space in the boss or the storages in the base, and let them wait nearby to avoid overcrowding.
i currently still use a quick+dirty behavior that checks the target storage space and replaces the store destination with a dummy destination building (that has no free or unloced slots) until the storage is ready. but there are lots of ways to do some checks that all are fine as long as they work :-)

Hey great video. I found it at the Stage Discord. I don´t know why, but your video is a bit quiet. ^^

Thank You for compliment. Admittedly - this is an 'artifact' of dying microphone. Next videos should be in much higher sound quality. It was more of a spur of the moment recording rather than well prepared recording that this game deserves, which is unfortunately also relic of limited time of demo.
Early access is launching at 15th August, and this is when I intend to provide up to date version of tutorials, with better sound quality.

@@Almaravarion Nice. Yeah i'm looking forward for the release as well. To bad the Demo went offline today. If i can help in any way just send me a massage. I´m to shy for making my own tutorials but i love to go really deep into games to see how they work espacily if i can help out others.
