I assume it's the same way as in ae? Add the mocha effect onto the clip in premiere and then click on the mocha button to open it in the mocha software. Mocha does not natively run in pr or ae.
I have always used that feature because the software can't tell that the camera isn't zooming. Seems to always give me better results. That being said, you are likely correct in your statement.

@@ed61730 nope. Premiere Oro has no 3d camera capabilities and BorisFX have no idea how to add it not natively
I think that the “Zoom lens” checkbox is for footage with actual zoom action, not when you use a zoom lens at a fixed focal range.
