Absolutely classic track, big up tha Fabio , the original Carl Craig tune was a 33 1/3rpm track but we played it at 45rpm to get the beats up to our speed! For those that know, big up Rom brother
Warren, DJ Cuca (Brazilian DJ) said that hardcore/jungle was created right after DMC 1990, when the German DJ (champion of that edition) did part of his presentation at 45 bpm. The guys from London liked the idea and sped up the pitch. Cuca said this on a podcast here in Brazil and he was one of the finalists in that edition. I don't know if it's true, I'm just passing on what I heard. This is winning set: ruclips.net/video/u0Tt8YHz-LI/видео.html
@@romulofbp603 Rom listening to this German DJ set I couldn't hear anything played at 45 rpm as opposed to 33 rpm, Rob Base DJ Ez rock " it takes two" was definitely playing at the correct speed except for maybe 10 seconds. That's not to say we didn't adopt hip hop breaks to upspeed as a notion. Drum n bass and hip hop breaks are absolutely linked intrinsically as a real thing. I heard Fabio playing "Bugs in the Bassbin" at 45rpm at Speed and did so myself on my Flex FM shows . I think there's a debate as to when and how jungle as a genre first manifested, some say Lennie de ice " We are E " was the first jungle tune although Randall used the term jungle whilst playing house tracks on Centreforce in maybe 89/90!! The debate will go on... big up my brother
Excellent D n B version of the Detroit Techno Jazz classic.
