Good ideas! You have a good mix of educational wooden toys and fun plastic ones. I have many wooden toys but my toddler engages longer with little people, legos, ext! I like have a good balance of both

Just ordered that Fat Brain spinning toy for mine for his birthday! He turns 1 December 1st, then Christmas less than a month later, so these ideas are great!
@@twoplusyou1515 We have a very small family who will be able to come fortunately. It's just my side of the family who will be able to come, since my husband's family live in the US and we're in Norway. These are tricky times though. I comfort myself by thinking that they themselves won't remember much of this when they grow up anyway, and we can celebrate more later when they will remember :)

That’s such a personal decision! I definitely went overboard this year - sharing everything I got them for both Christmas and their birthday tomorrow if you wanna see!
One of my 19mo favorite games is to "make soup." I give her a whisk and a stainless steel bowl and she pretends to stir things up to make soup! So you're right, at the end of the day you can just give them whatever and they'll find a way to entertain themselves 😉 A note on the object permanence box in the pack and play. It also teaches about object permanence! The idea that just because you can't see something doesn't mean it's not there. It's definitely worth the money imo!
I got the magnetic tiles (playmags brand) from amazon on Amazon prime day i paid 40 with tax for 100 pieces. I live in southern CA where everything is more expensive i just check the kitchen is 120 and you said you got it for 80 or so in the other vidio but yeah here in los angeles everything cost more but i didnt know the price change was so big.
I highly recommend the buy nothing private facebook group in your community. I am sure that people who live around you would love some of your used toys. I have gotten some toys for my son that way and it helps reuse items and avoid excessive waste. Thanks for sharing, I'm very into montessori toys for my kid but we love open ended play toys as well. Anything educational is a big hit around here and of course, lots of books.
Yes! I love those groups! I actually gave away my old couch in one of those groups and I think it’s a great way to get rid of things! Giving back to my own backyard is so cool!

I store each toy or activity in its own clear bin and then put them in this toy cube when the kids are using them but usually we use clear shoe bins
