Point 1 - don’t buy retired Lego.
Point 5 - don’t buy Lego before it’s retired.
You clearly don’t get the point
Don't buy it till right before/after it retires. It only gains value after retirement thus its a waste of space to by it before so
.
Synthesis: Don’t buy Lego ✅
@@historypunkwargames4760
Don’t buy it before it retires.
It gains value after it retires.
Okay, got it
@@rylieaitchThe best way to save money on Lego is to not buy Lego
Another reason to hate resellers
I know right! They are the Worst!
Jabba’s Palace is a good retired one to invest in. We will never see a remake of that one ever again.
According to who?
@@Maddenhawk To SJWs
source: trust me bro
then what are the rumours saying?
@@Maddenhawk because of the site the palace is modded after, the leaders of that religion believe that it ruins their reputation with a slave owner living there. In conclusion, they don’t really want people making stuff on Jabba’s Palace
The fact that most of non investing community hates people large scale investors like you because you don't leave anything for the fans that don't want to buy the 501st specialists battle pack for $50
Like other forms of "investing," it's extremely difficult to pick winners; and if a set is 50% off, it's likely because it sucks the big one. Fortunately, there are still millions of people who just buy Lego because they like Lego, and are not trying to get-rich-quick selling to other Star Wars fanatics.
I’m going all in on the Republic Fighter Tank. It’s a Target exclusive, 1 and 1/2 years shelf life very short shelf life and very desirable minifigures such as the unique clone troopers and the Mace Windu with the arm printing.
Same. I think that one’s pretty much a guarantee
Same I got about 11 because I wanna have an army or to sell
100%. I feel like this is almost a guarantee as well considering it's high demand and very low supply. Target exclusive. Short shelf life. I'm convinced Lego made this set for investors 😂😂😂
yeah guarantee like the first gen pokémon cards and then nintendo and gamefreak put out a new set with the old cards :D investors (scalpers) got a hissy fit :D
Mász Kálmán Tell me you don’t know how Lego works without telling me you don’t know how Lego works.
man where do i find castles...in store there is 0...why they no longer make King castles???
Only set recently that I would say will have major resell value is the daily bugle because the first appearance of 4 minifigs
*5
Why are people investing in Star Wars of all LEGO sets?? It is an Evergreen franchise, possibly Harry Potter is also. Go for sets that are insured to not be remade.
That’s a good point! However, LEGO Star Wars collectors pay big money for exclusive minifigures. Also the Star Wars fan base is huge. I think if you know what you’re doing then there’s always money to be made.
Where can i See if a set is insured to be never Made again?
@@subzero9872 Brickfanatics have a list of sets that are expected to retire but it is never insured and the list is always subject to change, sometimes Lego on a whim also decide to let a lego set run for another year.
Why are all younger RUclipsrs and Ticktockers shouting all the time? It's exhausting to listen to. :D
So….
Don’t buy sets which have already retired and don’t by sets which are not due to retire…..
Right
So only buy just a month before the retirement or as soon as lego stop production of new ones of that set
I think this guy is making his judgements only based on Star-wars at this point as shown in the video. Disney is losing money.
He means don’t buy sets that just came out and aren’t going to retire for a long time and don’t buy sets that have been retired for a long time either. It really isn’t that difficult to understand.
@@RittenhousesRifle I am saying that these two points are obvious to pretty much anyone and doesn't need a 5 min long video to explain it. Thank you for your invaluable input and....for pointing out the obvious...again.
Why do some adults have to ruin everything. Lego is there to be enjoyed, not invested in. It's there to be built, played with, displayed, not profited off
supply and demand. if a lot of people want something, and they only make so many, then people will pay more to get it
Lego's biggest market are these buy to resell traders and that is also why they keep making their prices worse so the sets are now not even a great deal at 30% off.
Nobody said u can't do both
Just invested in Barad dur, I really like it tho so even if it drops in value I'll just end up keeping it, it has Sauron in it :)
First two depend on having stock
Australia doesn’t
US does
🤷♂️🤷♂️
Maybe in two years Australia will be flooded and discounted and US starved
But I doubt it
All great advice. Very candid. Hats off. Great content. Thank you.
Bullshit most of the time Amazon and Walmart don’t have no damn 50% off. You better be glad you can find a damn item before it gets retired.
Buy what you enjoy so if what you buy for “investment” will be enjoyed even if the monitory value disappears.
Your #5 is not true. I carry sets that never seemed to be discounted. No one factor in this game overrides demand. There are sets that have doubled in price over there msrp and that is real profit.
It is sad that discount isn't exist in my country
Thanks
My walmart barely ever does lego on clearance.
i could use some more mandalorian starfighters
Is this basically a vid for becoming a scalper? You know those despicable ones who drive up the prices for everyone else?
Scalping assumes the buyers denied you access to the thing you want.
In this case they bought it before it was discontinued and sell it back to you if have remorse.
Not really like the ps5 stuff or people who buy shoes .5 seconds after they launch.
The only mistake you've made is by thinking Lego is a good investment. To buy a house or sustain your life buying lego and investing in it will not get you anywhere in life.
If you can afford to buy a house with the money you’ve made from lego then lego investing definitely is getting you somewhere
buying a house is a bad investment
Buying a house is objectively a bad investment right now.
Also, I love Legos. I know why a certain exclusive lego dude would be worth $50 by itself next year, but I have no idea how much my house is gonna be worth next year.
buddy sounds like morgz
aren't lego "investors" basically scalpers?
edit: looks like i was wrong about this
Yes, but “investors” makes them feel better about being shitheads.
Opposite
This is how people make money bro. Resellers and investors keep retired sets on the market for people to buy later and the ones who struck while the iron was hot makes a lot of money. That’s capitalism my man.
I’d disagree because “scalpers” usually refers to drops that are bought up immediately by bots then resold at a way higher price, but I’d say everyone has an equal opportunity to pick up Lego sets at tons of different stores, it’s just keeping them mint for a few years so they appreciate in value
@@JohnnyDIles I mean I’m a kid but I like just targeting a set like the mandalorian Starfighter and just buying one because I can’t afford much more and I get that one for Gar Saxon and Bo Katan
Just buy popular sets with 30-50% discount!
You cant get 75342 with discounts :-(
I would argue Movie/Video game franchise sets are the worst sets to invest in because they will always be recreated along with their content.
😢
Cloud city: I have been remade but cost more than your life
After retired 2 years then you sell it🤷🏻
5 years
Cringe
Voice is so annoying i got embarrassed and closed the video
Wow talk about taking candy from a kid. This guy is just scalping kids joy and fun for money
If you have the money, you buy it whenever you want it. POINT
I have to put this video on 1.5 speed... I am so tired listening to your speaking.
