Glad I found this channel. Just started my apprenticeship and my biggest struggle rn is charging what I feel I’m worth and collecting deposits. I always let people slide and I’ve found out super quickly people love to take advantage of artists. Appreciate the vids/advice g
This is some good advice thank you, I just started tattooing I'm 5 months, I always loved art and I can see myself having a future with tattoing
Tattooing should never be about money obviously you have to have enough to live and survive but end of day good art comes from passion.
Facts
@@ad742n I've seen too many times artists doing it for money rushing too and there work sucks. I'm from the UK where living is expensive and yeah you need money but it spoils the art side of things.
@@hifi8844 70% of tattoo shops were I live are like this
@@hifi8844 yea the speed comes in time
@@GravityGamerXCII private studio is better that's what I am going for now might mean earning less but at least can do better tattoos.
Best thing my mentor ever told me - "You ever been homeless before? Then that should be enough motivation to make more.""
Bro you ain't lying.I been through some shit, plus I been tattooing out the house. Some people would straight up lie to me and say dang I aint got my money or act funny when it's time to pay.
Yea bro I’ve been through a couple situations like that u have to be on it for sure
Make em pay before you even set up, bro. Nip that shit in da bud real quick
You seem like a humble person and chill ifw , you definitely have my support your knowledge is appreciate it g foreal
Once again that's how it's done.....another great tattoo and thanks for sharing the knowledge builds confidence as being an artist and striving to continue my journey💯🙏
Thank you for showing us your process!! I’m an aspiring tattoo artist looking around at shops for an apprenticeship and this is so helpful with a perspective on pricing
8:39 for how much he makes monthly

Oh what a genuine gemstone video u made! Subscribed, keep on going! :) i myself trying to became a full time tattoo artist as well.
Love this style of video real time tattooing. Would love to hear more about how you shade and approach different things like smoke and gray wash and all that. Amazing content look forward to watching
It's wise of you that you know about finance at your age. It's another thing ppl should tap into in their down time, knowledge about investing. Seeing what was happening in China market wise, I started my art channel myself ♠️ keep goin brother
💯💯💯
Bro that Angel came out so dope!!!!!!!!
You mentioned in your video that you use the same machine speed for all needles. So I just want to know the machine stroke that you are using?
I hate to say it, but at the end of the day its about making a living. Those that say it isn't about money are a bit too idealistic. Please don't mistake this as a statement that its purely about money. That money is just a tool foremost and allows your cost of living, taxes, and work expenses. If you want to make good money doing tattoos, you have to keep progressing and make your tattoos better, not putting out more. Making more money is also about making a better life for you and your family, just like any other profession. Tattooing at the end of the day is a commercial art, and its prudent to approach it that way.
💯 I love tattooing and I’m all about the art but I’m about the money and using it as a tool
@@ad742n no doubt! This was pointed more towards the newer or uninitiated in tattooing.
sacas bastante la aguja cierto? y veo también que usas un voltaje medio bajo
Yo bro i appreciate your videos like this I been tattooing for almost a year I’m a bit older wish I woulda got into it earlier in my life but your videos helpful I still have a lot to learn but I like tattooing 🫡🫡💪💯💯
Appreciate the video bro been following you for a minute!🔥🔥

I follow you on IG. Work is always clean! These videos and you are hella motivating and inspirational! Keep at it g. It’s well appreciated
Most i made ln a month been 12k lowest 3k i cant complain.
How much average would you say ?
The time is takes and dedication you put into it plus the material used including inks and needles are costly so it's understandable
Came out clean. Nice skills.
Thanks for the vids bro much appreciated!

nice work bro!!!! keep it up
Great video king
Guys I’m a artist and I’m gonna tell you don’t listen to this, most tattoo artist makes about 4-5000 a month and some street shop artists make less, if you get into to tattooing it’s not the rock star life you think, it is a rough life we’re constantly working, like I work from 12-8 which is no where near what I’m use to I use to work from 12-3am, but then after your done tattooing as soon as you get home you have to work on designs or stencils, and we never have time to really eat good when we work so our diet is horrible and it messes with your health, this is not a easy life and being a artist is a lifestyle not a job, but if you love art or tattooing that should be the only reason you live this life
I didn’t say it’s a rockstar life. And my diet isn’t horrible it’s actually pretty good it’s just about how u set your priorities and I get the designs ready the day I tattoo just in case ppl change their mind on the design and so I’m not stressing out about it
I understand where u r coming from but everything I’m saying is real if u work hard enough u will do very good for yourself and set a good balance w your life you will be good
@@ad742n I didn’t say you said it’s a rockstar life bro I just know most people come into this thinking that, and I’m just letting people know don’t change careers thinking your gonna come in making that, most artists usually do make about 5 grand a month but that’s still pretty good to do something you love, yeah I’m the same I get my designs done on my days off and do the stencil day before the appointment, I liked it how are studio does it if someone changes the design they forfeit there deposit if we already have there original design done
@@ad742nmaybe u price ur tattoos higher . That why . But I still won’t believe the 20k
Boy I need more practice this came out nice and smooth
You should definitely make a patreon bro I don’t think game like this should be free. Fire vid tho 🔥 been rocking with you for a while
Thanks for the advice 🙏🙏
great video brotha
Would you have any advice for a tattoo collector who aspires to be an artist? It’s been occupying my mind more and more to the point of obsession. I’m even practicing drawing at work (doesn’t inhibit my performance). Any advice is welcome, and thank you for making tattooing more accessible
Keep drawing and get fake skin to practice tattooing
@Lane AWD tattoing is not like drawing at all, instead of using a pen on a coil machine just try the machine on fake skin
Hi bro what machine do u use!
I've been tattooing out of prison....what machine do you recommend I start with?
What size needle do you use for the lining bro?
how much you make total a month i couldnt find it

So.. how much?
Thank you for inspiring me. I need help on pricing my tattoos myself. I guess it will come in time.
charge what you would be ok with paying yourself
Dm me on ig maybe I can help u w pricing
@@joelhernandez4347 a lot of times certain artist don’t feel like this there work is good enough and don’t charge what they are worth but I feel like eventually when they start to get booked up they start to realize it
If you’re really good you can charge $180-$200 and hour!! Or do a Deal for All Day session for $1500
I really appreciate y’all help. I’ll be learning as I go. Blessings to all.
I cAnt stay any longer to hear the story smh

NEVER invest on stocks, these are set uo games for few that get rich in the expenses of the small fish.
Sure some money in penny stocks that are4 small ampoubnts can be done in companies that are promising with the premise that if they are lost it will not be a big deal, but if the comany flourishes it will be amassive gain.
Instead invest in yourself and business and what is spare in tangible good that have value which can increas, i.e. gold and silver which never lose valua and rel estate.
Thanks for the advice 🙏🙏
