  • In this video, this CMJ RC Defender gets some new tyres. I used TPU filament to give the car some offroad knobbly tyres. They don't have much grip, but they look amazing to me.
Please subscribe and give this video a like, soon I will be releasing a video about my big Lego Defender, it is also getting new wheels (although printing them all will take a week).
    Filament: SUNLU TPU (amazon
    Car: amzn.eu/d/2kC9muE (not affiliated)
Alternatively you can find a green version on Amazon or Argos
    Thank you for watching (:

From the looks of it, the filament was wet and the type of TPU used is harder than most. You'd probably get better tires (and traction) with something softer like 80a instead. Marginally though, can't expect a 1lb car to really put down enough force anyway lol.

Oh that's interesting, thanks for letting me know! I need to invest in a filament dryer. I've not used tpu for a while but if I get more, I'll look into 80a. Thanks again 😁

Great tires! I also want to print my RC model some tpu tires. Would you maybe share your stl file?

Thanks so much! Um I'm not sure how to share them with you. Let me upload to thingiverse where you can download for free? I'll have to do it later and once done I'll drop the link here for you!

@@user-vt5jx4ze1e no problem 😁 good luck with printing. Might need extra stretchy filament or something. Alternatively maybe scale up the model a little bit just so it's easier to fit on the tyres.
