  • I'm pruning my small leaf Linden (Tilia cordata) after a summer of growing. I'm working on creating a new apex on the tree and improving the cascade branch.
    I'm also pruning up my Field Maple (Acer campestre) seedling.

    Stick in a pot cool name for the FM. Pruning has done it justice for future growth.

    Good work on both of these trees! Especially like the Linden. I'm currently working on a bougainvillea cascade. It still has lots of progress to be made.

    This is a beautiful tree and full of charisma. I can't wait till you decide on a ceramic for it one day. I really enjoyed this today. Thanks, Xav

    What an amazing glimpse you give people into the lives of these trees.
    Bonsai may not be the life the trees expected, but I think the focus and attention they receive from caretakers like you give them a new goal that they are happy to participate in.

    I had to agree with your comment on die back on this specie. Mine was cut back 30 % with that in mind even though it still will need another cut back in the future to get to its correct profile. Each one is a child with it's own personality, lest we forget.

    My linden is about the size of the big branch you chopped off! 😂🤣 Great work.. if you ever want me to wire it down for the cascade - let me know! 😂🤣🐦💙

    That linden is looking great! Would it be cheating to put the plant on a high shelf, or put a light underneath the cascade, or to angle the corner of the pot up pot so the bottom of the cascade gets the light? It’s looking really nice and gnarly!!!

    Do you completely avoid using wire, on principal? Would guy wires be OK? I could understand if you are trying to use clip and grow only, and never wire (except maybe your Pinus Plasticus:-)

    Wy not use a guide wire?

  • @mmjnice97
    @mmjnice97 Год назад

    Why NotPut a wire on the branches? I understand that you may not have time to check wires on the hundreds of tree's you have but sometimes a bit of overly fat wire so it won't scar is Essential ....at least a guidewire holding down a branch won't hurt any..

    your linden tree is a really poor bonsai... after so many years the tree looks even worst... the back side have more character than the actual front.. and moreover you should reconsider airlayer your tree to get back a moyogi style... you're wasting so much time doing no sense on this tree..
