- Welcome to the latest episode of Spotting and welcome to the first video of 2024! Today you join me at Exeter St Davids where you'll be seeing services by Great Western Railway, CrossCountry and South Western Railway.
Always great to visit and film here, a lot of variety was seen here which was good. There was a lot of delays on this day so the announcements were pretty constant but at least people are being kept informed. Overall a fantastic session here!

Been a lot of delays down here recently due to the flooding. I was out on the 2nd and was stuck on 802111 for 2 hours 30 minutes between plymouth and exeter. Left Exeter around 200 minutes late in the end i think.
Good to see all my favourite 150s around still! Although, I quite like when a 166 turns up because of the nice quiet declassified first class. As long as it isn't a 165
Yeah I've seen all the delays, it's not fun at all. The declassified first class is good on the 166s but enjoy them while they last!
@@KTVTransport the refurbished units have got them to be fair.
Only time they run a 9 coach 159 is when one is broken. They take it back to Salisbury and it detaches there. Never happens though
Yeah and they will always lock out the last 3 of them.

Just before new year eve I was on a train back from totnes it was 5 instead of the usual Ten or the 9 just wondering why
It can happen unfortunately, reason being is that the IETs are so spread out nowadays as they now also run between Penzance and Cardiff in place of the HSTs. So because of that, there isn't always enough for a 10 car. If it's replaced a 9 car then either the 9 car has got a fault or there's been a delay somewhere.
