Bubba is also known to be a Hot Head. Alex tried to contact him to talk during the rain delay...both called and texted him...but Bubba waited to Door slam him into the wall with the window net down. So now Bubba has to write a check.

I believe safety is the reason for the fine. Driver safety nets were down. Bubba put Bowman into the wall on the drivers side. Again, with the safety net down. That is extremely dangerous.

Because Elliot bumped Suarez lightly. He didn’t wall him while his window net was down, he bumped him so lightly I doubt Elliot even dented his or Suarez’s car. Plus, that didn’t happen before an hour plus long rain delay where they could have talked about it, instead bubba avoided bowman and walled him after the race.

A doorslam is one thing. What Bubba did was harder than a doorslam. You could see it in the in-car camera while looking at Bowman. Belts were off and window nets were down. The contact was hard enough Bowman's head and helmet bounced around within his head restraints, it was hard enough that fenders were almost knocked off.
Plus the fact that Bowman said he tried to smooth things over with Bubba during the rain delay and Bubba chose not to, but took this action instead.
I'm not surprised at this fine whatsoever.

@@bighand1530 Which is a totally valid reason. I think he's overhyped too, but he's still better than half the field IMO. Regardless, the problem is that many of those people say that's their reason, but read enough of their comments and they eventually slip up, showing their true reasons for disliking him.

Most likely because the window net was down, drivers usually loosen up the safety harness and helmet chin strap, plus impact on the right side then impact into the wall and a driver who had a fairly recent back & head injury (concussion). That's my take on it.

I believe there are two reasons for the fine. One Alex tried to get in touch with Wallace during the rain delay to explain what happened and to maybe apologize for it and he wouldn't answer his phone. Two it was several hours later after the rain delay and everything going on with that and they somewhat finished the race he had enough time to cool off and chose to door him in the wall with his window net down and maybe his seat belts loose.

Bubba has a history of "not getting the message"....IMO he never learned anything from his intentional spin of Kyle Larson and was only suspended 1 race and lets be honest, he never really apologized. So Bubba needed to get something harsh although I feel taking points away would be a stronger message.

Honestly a fair call, he got into Bowman and slammed him enough to where Bowman had to correct his car. Unfortunately though this will not look good especially since Chase isn't getting a penalty even if what he did wasn't as hard of a hit or was "heat of the moment"
NASCAR needs to keep in mind how inconsistent calls like this comes across imo

The fine was due to Bowman's window net being down, more than likely. Glad he didn't lose points for it. Rivalries are tough to hold onto these days. Miss the have at it days of NASCAR.
