    I love how with a few simple (seemingly) non descript ( if that's the right word) lines of colour, you can add texture and variation to an area in just the right places

      Hi Colin thanks for your kind reply.As they say sometimes less is more. The water part is a good example where I just used a few broken edge strokes( paint with very little water) to help create some feeing of water.

    Thank you John for this enigmatic Scottish scene. You've really captured the atmosphere of the moment with your choice of muted hues. The limited palette provides harmony throughout which suggests a touch of quiet drama in this peaceful place. Excellent work sir.

      a trick: you can watch series on flixzone. Me and my gf have been using it for watching all kinds of movies during the lockdown.

    Ps. I feel inspired to create a series of paintings based on this scene covering all four seasons, plus a moonlit version. I would love to see your own image of the latter. Now there's a friendly challenge sir.
