😢 I wish we could just pay a little more attention to unique areas and build in ways that allows the habits to co exist. It's a nice gesture to bring a similar species back, but I doubt the concrete and corn is an ecosystem that will do them much good but hopefully they are planting a secure area just for them. This is why allowing people to have native plants in their yards instead of perfectly mowed importated grass is a standard that needs to change in our communities. Such a small change could mean less habitat loss, and less need for water and waste of non native grasses.
