  • Hello everyone,
    Once you’re here it must have happened to you that you can’t open the door and now you’re looking at how to do it.
    Thanks for watching my video.
    In this video, you will learn how to open the door by drilling a cylinder for which you have lost a key or the cylinder is locked.
    Use this method if you have no other choice.
    Do not call the service because you will save a certain amount of money.
    Do this only on your own door or on those doors for which you have permission to do so!

    This is the situation I'm in. My balcony door's exterior lock won't turn. The key is jammed, but I have the right one. I appreciate the video. The technique in the video is what I'll try.

    How do u know when to stop drilling for each pin?

    • @MCTutorialsOnline
      @MCTutorialsOnline  3 года назад +4

      Hi, thanks for watching. Depending on what kind of drill you use, it will be so easy for you to break the pins. If you are using a cordless drill that has a gearbox, this is best because it will stop when you drill to the end. Such a drill is also the best to protect your drill bit from cracking.

    Am technician I will use adjustable spanner and big flate screwdriver to romove key cylinder Frist use adjustable spanner to break the half cylinder then take of black middle part After that, fit him front the screwdriver and open the door it easy method then drill.

      Hi,
      Thanks for watching.
      You can use regular HSS drill bit ( 6mm).
      Only be careful with speed, because you can broken drill bit if you fast dip far.

      Or there is something stuck inside.
      But you must to succeed with this method.

      @@maddythesassy Lol Ive got more sense than to pay someone something I have no idea how to fix!
      Rule 1 in saving money ££££
      I sorted it in 2 minutes, snapped the barrel with pair of mole grips, poked a small screwdriver to get the round piece that turns the lock to open and beautiful, job done!
      But i did learn something, I had installed anti snap locks previously but I had installed them the wrong way lol.
      Antisnap locks are designed with a weak point that prevents the main mechanisms from being damaged easily when force is used, instal them the correct way, the shorter end before you see the gap in the bottom is installed towards outside 😜

    What if you drill to far and it won't open?

    • @MCTutorialsOnline
      @MCTutorialsOnline  3 года назад +2

      Hi,
      Thanks for watching.
      Try with any key what you have and fit in lock, turn it full to right then full to left.
      After that you will be able to open it.

      And how can we avoid drilling it too far? I have a cylinder lock whose keys I lost. The door isn't locked, but I want to replace the cylinder, and it is the first time for me to have that kind of trouble, so I would be grateful if you answered me. I dare not try snapping the cylinder, because my door is kind of fragile and I would not like to damage it in that way so I thought of drilling.
