This is a wonderfully worshipful song. I love it so much. From an artistry standpoint, it's incredible. This is a deceptively high degree of difficulty to pull off at this level of execution. That bass player is INSANE. I'm gonna try to look him up. It says quite a bit about a writer that she can pull this level of talent into a project and execute at this high a level. I've listened to this song at least 100 times, and I talk about it constantly to my team. Dig into the rhythm, the "3 against 4" nature of it, the "shuffle against straight" of it, it's just so multilayered. So good. I'm a huge fan of this kind of artistry existing in the worship music space.
His talent added a great enjoyment to this video and song. It is clear he enjoys making music. I would like a version of the video with a clear view of his hands throughout the song.
john's been pretty forthright about his faith...so is james mcallister...nice that someone like sandra, who is so entrenched in the CCM community, had the vision to go this route! it'd be great if others would follow her lead :)
