Hi Fran, I love your videos, this was beautiful 💕 thank you for posting them ❤... Can you give me any advice on acetate, can it be encased in resin? I've heard resin doesn't adhere to acetate but wondered if it was sealed in completely, like a pendant or bangle, would that be ok? Much love and thank you again 💕
Hello! You may have trouble if you dome on acetate, meaning only covering a certain shape with a layer of resin, as delamination can become a problem if not handled correctly, but embedding acetates in resin entirely shouldn't cause any problems. HOWEVER, many types of acetate have color that can bleed in resin, so you'll have to test out what you have, or get some from little-windows.com :) There are some examples in this tutorial, in fact the first 4 bangles in the main photo are forms of plastic film of one sort or another (Resin Color Films, Dichro-ISH Films, Clear Photo Film): www.little-windows.com/blogs/project-center/bangle-bracelets-ornaments-trinket-dishes-with-double-sided-large-molds I hope that's helpful :) - Fran@little-windows.com
Hello, nice to meet you. Where did you buy dividers? I am new to your channel. I am new to resin. I am a jewelry designer bead, and wire only. See you around.
Hello Lorena! Sorry for the delayed reply, you'll find these Dividers here, along with the Double-Sided Bangle molds they can be used with: www.little-windows.com/collections/brilliant-molds-2 Please let me know if I can be of help along the way :) fran@little-windows.com
You have great ideas,... but your videos come across as an info commercial. I’m all for promoting your business, however, your promotion of the individual items continuously is off putting IMO.
Hello MD, thanks for your feedback. This is such a hard balance, I used to be subtle in my product promotion, in hopes viewers would do a little work to find the products I produce and use in all my tutorials. But I've had video footage stolen repeatedly by competitors and used in their own videos and ads, and it's happening more and more every month. When it's not embedded in the video, viewers ask "where can I get that great stuff", or think any similar product will give them the same results. Posts with my content leading them to my competition pop up all over social media, and even in YT ads. This theft bleeds my business, but there's really no way to stop it unless you make it a full time job to do so. So I've been trying different things to help guide viewers to the products I use while providing inspiring content so I can stay in business. Believe me, I wish I didn't have to hard sell, and I'll keep working on less-annoying alternatives :) - Fran
