    16*20 pattern is my favourite. It has such a great feel on a smaller head size. A soft co poly strung at 47 lbs in a thin beam racket is my ideal setup.

    Big fan of Prince too. I've been playing both patterns in the Phantom 93P, and echo your impressions: the 18x20 is wonderful, but the 14x18 is so much easier to play with. Now, having just turned 50, I was looking for the tolerance a 100 sq.in. frame provides. Didn't quite find what I wanted in the current Prince line up, but managed to source 3 Classic Graphite 100, which have to be some of the sweetest hitting frames ever made. The 16x18 pattern works well for my game, but I really wish there were more 16x20 racquets available in the market, as it is the perfect blend of spin, power, feel and control in my view.

      Johnny Guitar hi there. I like the classic graphite’s too. Have you tried the new 100 x from Prince??
      I will review it in a few weeks time, a few more to put up first but it is amazing!!

      @@tenniseuphoria5012 I haven't but it does get a lot of good press from the likes of TW and Tennisnerd. For now, I'm happy with the PCG100, but it's good to know that the 100X line exists. I'd probably gravitate towards the 305, although I probably would have to add about 5-10g to put it in my specs.

      Johnny Guitar
      Absolutely! I have only hit with it once, but initial thoughts were great. Indeed, probably does need just a touch more weight.
      Blade v7 review will go up tomorrow and one or two others in the next few weeks but the 305 100 x review will be up some time in May.

    Thank you so much for your video. I wish I started to watch those before embarking on my racket journey. I kept buying rackets of similar specs when I should have started with a few of different head size, string pattern and beam thickness as you recommend in another video. Do you have a review of the Blade 98S in store yet?

    What you did not mention is__ Babolat not only makes the Pure Aero VS a 16x20 but, lowers the frame millimeters in all areas for more control. I'm still waiting for a 16×20 with the same thickness of the Pure Aero and a 98sq in head. Which you also didn't mention that the Babolat Pure Aero VS has vs the 100sq in head of the Pure Aero. Yonex has a too thin throat on most of their models. The original Aeropro Control is 16x19 with a 98sq in head but, also a thinned down frame but, higher weight. I'm waiting for a 16x20 with a 98sq in head and the Pure Aero throat that is not thinned at all

    Very interesting an indepth interview. I am just getting back after a number of years. Keep hitting balls long. I don't know if it's because my stroke is wrong or if I'm using the wrong type of racket. I'm considering the 18x20 rackets because of this. However I'm now rethinking it and wondering if I should focus on the stroke or if the racket actually makes that big of a difference. Do you have any thoughts on this?

    Good quality reviews. Really like it!! Can you do a review about te vcore 97HD it seems to be a very populair frame. My personal racket of choice is the blade v7 18×20 really like the frame but im thinking about switching to yonex because of the excellent quality control.

      Rick Hermans hi, thank you.
      Great, pleased you mentioned that. I am hitting with and reviewing the pure strike right now but I am moving on to the VCORE 97 range straight after and the HD is top of the list !
      For sure totally agree about the quality control of yonex - top notch!

    What do you think of the 16x15? I notice they don't really make the crazy open patents much anymore. I have a hard time controlling my 99s on returns and defensive shots, everything goes long and the launch angle is so high. And when the stings lose tension on it I find it plays even worse than a normal dead stringed. Should I just change racquets?

    Hi, loving the content. Question: Can you really compare Djokovic 18x19 to a 305xtc as Novak has a 95sq in head and the Technifibre is 98sq in, or even more the Vcore 95 and the pure aero vs (100sq in) as 16x20? as the smaller head size will give more dense stringbed for same pattern.🤔

    • @tenniseuphoria5012
      @tenniseuphoria5012  4 года назад

      Simon Underwood hi, thanks very much for the note. Absolutely, can’t compare the rackets (95 Djokovic’s pro stock 95 sq inch and the 305 xtc), but I think it’s a good nod to the 18x19 string pattern being good and not used enough - still great control and more spin than an 18x20
      for the modern game. Thanks for the comment 👍

    • @jerome_morrow
      @jerome_morrow 3 года назад

      I strongly favour denser string patterns, and headsize does make a big difference. Too bad manufacturer’s don’t give us the average string spacing across the central 6/8 mains and central 9/10 crosses. Probably too much information for the average consumer!
