I wanted to share with you my story about how I was able to save $100,000 by the time I was 22. I feel like we’ve all become accustomed to seeing people online talk about these really big numbers. $1 million, $10 million, half a billion dollars, and for me personally, these massive numbers just seem out of reach so it makes it harder for me to relate to their stories. I mean I can’t exactly relate to an individual that already owns multiple companies and has a total of 32 different sources of income at the age of 17. So that’s why I wanted to make this video about how I was able to save $100,000. Because I feel like six figures is a realistic goal that most of us are trying to achieve. I’m going to share everything I did and all the decisions I made leading up to hitting my goal of six figures, and I’m hoping that this video can somewhat inspire you on your own journey to achieving whatever financial milestone that you’re working towards, no matter how small that might be.
Topics Covered:
Personal finance, how to save money fast, how to build wealth, how to make money, entrepreneurship, financial freedom, investing for beginners, how to get rich, how to save 100k, how to invest money, how to save money with low income, frugal, financial minimalism, passive income, side hustles 2023, how to budget your money, stock market.

Thats awesome that you were able to save $100k by age 22. Most people do not have the discipline to accomplish that goal. Great video with great advice. Keep up the good work! When is the next video coming? Its been a while. Waiting for your next video. Hope all is well at your end.
Looking forward to your next video! Thank you for sharing your wisdom!
Hey I just found your channel and your gone already? Do you plan on posting more content?
You are very smart. I cut down the cost of my phone, cut off Netflix etc and I'm going to try some of your side hustle tips. Such as video editing. Thank you Karson you're amazing
REPORTING U TO IRS: It isn't investment proprty, u cant claim tax benifit only partially, as u work from home
TLDR : you went from working for 3k per month to 6k per month while having the same frugal lifestyle and working extra.
Glad there's a timestamp.
So saving 100K and investing in a home with equity are different things to be fair, other than that, good video.
Probably should be titled how I built $100k net worth by 22
@@_Wai_Wai_agreed
Exactly, more like how I got approved for a loan by having a decent job and side hustle. Good video but definitely click bait
She tryna influence YALL but talks down on other influencers lmfaoooo THIS THE EXAMPLE OF WHAT NOT TO FOLLOW IN GENERAL
Some people just can't be helped. She is giving the best advice that you could possibly receive, and yet comments that make not any sense, like this whole thread keep appearing. @jonathangamble, in case the video wasn't clear enough, she probably had that money saved by having a high income job and living below her means, she is explaining how she invested a portion of that 100k by buying a house and a few stocks that did not perform well. @_Wai_Wai Again, she probably had that in liquid cash, she is telling you how she invested it. @nicolastschirhart She never mentioned a loan. I hope comments like this are not the reason why she stopped uploading videos, hopefully I'll see her coming back again.
Thank you ❤
One of the few actual helpful channels.
No big blah blah about "How to get your [Luxus Car Brand] next month with [High-Risk and questionable Profit Method] next month" Type of videos.
Thanks!
Next video when? She didn't get kidnapped or something right? She just dropped off the Earth without saying what happened or saying goodbye to her audience.
it is crazy how she disappeared
Your channel is really a breath of fresh air on a platform that's become increasingly filled with clickbait and anti-motivational "flexing".
As a fellow 20 something year old, I struggle with motivating myself to leave my comfort zone and after watching this video I genuinely want to. Thank you for the inspiration!
I'm a Software Engineer making 6 figures right after college and have worked a little over 1 year, but my net worth is still far from $100k. I got into your channel from the rent vs. buy house video. I'm learning a lot from your videos! You clearly put a lot of effort into your videos. Thank you for sharing all these!
My investment-portfolio recently reached six figures, and this is my story. I found it initially intimidating to consider investing during this period of higher inflation, but with the assistance of investment analyst Joseph Sullivan Anderson, who created a plan to transfer my underperforming fixed-income investments to a diverse portfolio that would produce higher returns, I was able to successfully navigate it.

You are doing great work. Keep it up. Your honesty and integrity will help you in making it big on youtube. Good luck
Thanks for sharing! Genuinely its nice to see a RUclips who's a bit more down to earth. Looking forward to future videos
Hello Karson, you provide value just the right way you'll do great. And Thankyou.
can you do a more in depth video on mortgage payoff and tax savings when owning a home? also how you purchased a home with the amounts
I went into more detailed in a previous video. It’s called “Buying my first Texas home at 22”
I agree with everything. Thank you for showing how life really is and exposing all those get rich quick scams ❤
Hey Karson, I found your channel recently on my feed after watching Graham Stephen and saw you haven’t made a video in 2 months! Love the content, don’t give up!!
Please make some updated new call and put options videos. You’re videos are very educational for me as I am an older gentleman who really enjoys and respect someone as smart as you thank you.
Finance RUclips needs you to come back karsen
I wish you updated more often
love your channel! your financial advice is so functional and realistic. THANK YOU!!
Wow, saving $100,000 by the age of 22 is impressive! These money saving tips are definitely helpful, especially for young adults who are just starting their financial journey. It's all about creating good habits and making smart choices with your money.
Thanks Shu!
Great video! I enjoy all your videos that I have watched, including your old ones, all are very informative! Thanks for sharing!
Appears you're claiming a net worth is $100K, which is very different from having saved $100K, but it's still a good start.
Edit: After reading through the comments, I see that other people have noticed the same inaccuracy in your video, yet you haven't corrected the title or description. Watching some of your other videos, I found additional mistakes and misguided advice. For example, you seem confused about the differences between a 401K, IRA, and Roth IRA, and you provided incorrect tax advice that could lead to higher taxes or penalties for your viewers. It might be wise to revisit these areas to ensure the information you're sharing is accurate and reliable.
It's possible she is doing it on purpose. How else would you attract would-be subscribers if you don't exaggerate the truth? She'd go much further if she was just transparent about it.
@@soapa4279 If that were true how long do you think she would go? Seems telling the truth and not getting views, comments, and subs is something many don't seem to prefer.... It is obvious many don't talk about all the other stuff that had to go well for them to do what they are able!!!
@@donaldlyons17 What does it matter, she stopped posting videos since 8 months ago. Clearly she didn't go far.
Thank you ❤
Hi Karson! A couple questions:
1) Your 7 Side Hustles video, are these things you’ve had personal success with?
2) What’s your other YT channels?
Hey Karson! I just found your channel and I appreciate the more realistic financial advice/content! I subscribe to similar financial philosophies and I'm lucky enough to have put away over 100k myself, although I'm 34 and don't own a home yet. Could you go into more detail about your car purchase and what your second job was/how much it paid? I'm looking up Toyota Corolla's right now myself but a three-year-old car right now is closer to 20k than 10k.
Really good and authentic channel, good luck!
Thank you for sharing your experience!
You mam will be surpassing the million dollar mark very soon if you continue like this. All the best wishes!!!
Great video. Thank you
Was there a salary or hourly rate with that second job role stated anywhere? The first job was $18 per hour as a Project Manager... The second Project Management role what was the earnings?
Inspiring...hats off
I like your channel as it gives such a pure content, realistic, and achievable
I am sick of other channels that don’t show real action in applied methods
Keep it up 🙌🏻
Appreciate it :)
Hope you are doing well idk why you stopped posting i belive you have a great future in it. take care of yourself
Can you talk more about your project management job?
Fantastic video Karson! Loved it ❤
Thank you Shaun!!
Hi Karson dear
We sure did enjoy. Keep up the good work. May the Almighty bless you abundantly
Thank you for sharing your knowledge!
Awesome and inspirational!
Great videos. Keep going. You inspired me today. ❤
Congrats 🎉🎉
Thanks Curtis!
🎉Congratulations. You are very smart.
thankyou this was very helpful thanks for your time I apricate it.
Glad I found your channel! Pretty interesting.
I wish I had that headstart of not having student loans. My family was lower middle class, and I struggled in high school. Now, as I face these student loans head on, I'm trying to get creative in being debt free.
Im so glad you were able to achieve this. However the video is a little confusing in the fact that you are not so clear if the 100k is due to appeciation of the equity of your home, or how much savings are involved in this calculation. I am curious if you can make a video with the percentages that every line of your financial assets contribute to your overall net worth
You truly are amazing.
Great video
Thank you :)
Come back to us! RUclips needs you!
Great video, you seem way more down to earth and genuine than the other financial channels.
It's so simple really isn't it, yet so few people can execute it, it's incredible. I own two fully paid off properties but drive a 2009 hatchback with no plans to sell it (also fully paid off, ha, ha).
Why did you quit youtube and instagram? 😊
Toyota Corolla for 10k is like a 2 year car in my country. Still I bought an Audi A3 as a 10y old car 5 years ago for 5k, the car still runs flawlessly and didn't cost those extra 5k till this point on repairs and whatnot.
Wow awesome video. Great job!
If you are going to invest in the stock market make sure to invest in stocks that pay quarterly dividends. If you look at the history of the stock market and people who were successful you will find that a good portion of wealth comes from the stocks that pay dividends.
You need a certain amount to make dividends worth it otherwise just look for good companies with great earnings
@@mrm8818 Same holds true for buying companies with great earnings because their stock price is usually high. There are a host of affordable stocks with great dividends for those without a boatload of money to invest.
Loved this video.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Hey! Do a video for best REITs!!! Thanks
so... you didnt save 100k, you invested in a house right before houses went 300%+ value in a year ?
What happened to her? she disappeared?
Your necklace looks like the candy necklaces you could eat as a kid.....I can't unsee it because the colors match so well.
my iPhone 6s still works and I replaced the battery myself. I got the phone back in 2016 and kept it safe no broken screens.
I greatly enjoy your videos, Karson. How do you find jobs in project management? Where do you look for such jobs? Thank you.
She bought a house a few years ago. Price of house went up.
This is a great video :D
I need to start my youtube channel and get that side hustle moving!
Good luck!
As a 33 year old, I really wish I had your perspective and discipline in finances growing up. I am just starting, but I am in a much better position since I started to shift my perspective.
Same here.
Great video 🫡
Thanks!
Nice Thanks
How do you become a " project manager" straight out of college?
Awesome videos. You explain things better than most others. I hope you continue being this awesome once you hit 1M subs and beyond!
Why did you stop making videos? Is everything OK?
great video
How can you make a video condemning financial guru youtubers for their clickbait titles and then do exactly that? You didn't save $100k. You built a networth of $100k which is very different. It's way easier to have a $100k networth
There's nothing wrong with hypocrisy if it's all facts
100% agree
Karson, unless you itemize (very unlikely that you do), then there is no tax benefit for deducting interest or property taxes. Other than that, great stuff
Coffee at starbucks was like $8 last time I bought, so no thank you, only buying a couple of time of the year when I really want it and there is no line
Thanks so much for this! I'm a six figure earner but I've always had my head in the sand about finances - to me, it just seems so nebulous and I just told myself I couldn't figure it out, I never bothered investing or saving. But this video, for some reason, gave me the courage to take my head out of the sand and start learning about investing amd finances in general. Thanks a lot and please keep it up!
So far my biggest issue is during the pandemic I got into car accident totaling my car and had to buy a used car when the car market was inflated. I lost out on 10k afterwords when it came back down and I'm still not even 25% paid off of my car loan a year later. I'm trying to follow your videos and so far im picking up side hustles more and trying to get outside my comfort zone. I may need to switch jobs but I think I need to take it one step at a time first to not overwhelm myself. Thank you for making this video.
Don't give up fam
Actually I'm looking for a personal assistant to help me with various tasks for up to 10 hours per week. The ideal candidate will be skilled in scheduling and calendar management, payroll and email handling, shopping and fixing of schedules if arises, communicate with me via email is preferred. If you're interested let me know.
At least you should be able to pay for the car loan

How were you able to lower your mortgage to $1200 from $2000?
hey, cannot find your other channel. Please do share :)
It’s called “the petite plant”
Just discover your channel👌🏻 so instructive and wise, by the way the important is not to be too obsessive with saving, it’s a problem either!😅…
Great Video Karson - curious, do you edit your videos yourself or utilize a video editing service?
Hey, Why no video since a long time... We are missing you..
Did u shoot this video in graham
Stephen studio ??
How old were you when you graduated? You did all of that at 22? College is 4 years. Confused 😵😵
Great video!!
Thank you!
Why did you stop uploading?...
Anyone know why she stopped posting?
after her video about financial advisers went viral she started getting threats. I hope she's ok
Where has this lady been? Did she die or something? I certainly hope not. She’s beautiful and full of knowledge ❤️❤️❤️
We need more women like you to make finance videos. I enjoy watching you
I just found Karson's channel today and went to sub....and it looks like this channel may be abandoned? Anyone know if Karson is still going to create content? Looking for level-headed finance people on YT is tough lol.
Very good
I had a Note 2 for like 9 years...Lol. Yeah it would shut off 3 times a day, but it didn't bother me. Got the Note 20 2 years ago, will have this phone for the next 10 years at least.
I also moved home for 3 years after living in an apt. for 9 months and thought I could be putting the money into an actual home instead of throwing it away in a nice apt., building equity as well.
Great work Karson! Scooby snacks for you.
My allegiance is to Liberty, the Repubic and Democracy.
'And when the world needed her most, she vanished'
You drive a Toyota? I thought all RUclipsrs drove Teslas. Thanks for the videos!
I'm confused. Were you not 22 when you graduated?
21
For me, after 1 to 2 years, I can't even save $1,000. Most are being strangled financially by the powers that be.
Do you edit your own videos or hire it out? If it's yourself - BRAVO!!! If it's hired out, who does your editing?
Congrats. 👍 Your are $90.000 ahead of me - I'm 32 😩.
Hi, hope all is well. Have gotten a video in a year
Yes, 6 figures is a realistic goal.
I pay $5 a month for a iPhone 14 Pro Max you can still treat yourself if you can grab some deals
Oy, Karson, since you saved that much money, just give it to me, instead of blowing it up in the market. I will put it in a high yield CD and live comfortably.
