3060 is over £100 more expensive than the 6600XT right now, as much as I wanted an Nvidia card for the nvenc cores, I might have to just go Red on this one.

And Im saying this as someone who has been using AMD cards so far, im very disappointed with their drivers and software, imagine an RX 590 not being able to support directx 12.1 and 12.2 but the gtx 960, which is much older, can do it. Big slap in the face from AMD and I hope I'll find some good deals from nvidia

6600Xt 135W max power, equal in performance with 3060 170W and sometimes with 3060Ti 235W. Incredible tech achiewment, with less energy, the same and best performance than nvidia.
6600 XT total graphics power is around 160W not 135W. AMD is not reporting entire power consumption of all the components of the GPU, like VRM power, memory controller, display output power etc.. Nvidia is reporting power consumption differently but showing total board power including all of the components. The real power consumption is showed in the video and it's total power consumption. The total W comes directly from the PSU and in most games is around 10-20W difference between 6600 XT and 3060.
Amen. Power consumption is very important + it would be nice if power draw was also showing maximum power spike. To let people know if psu can handle that power draw spike.

Not with 20 games because it would take 2x as much time to make the comparison and the video would be nearly 40 mins long. DLSS looks bad at 1080p, you need at least 1440p to look decent because upscaling low resolution image doesn't work well.

#Putuutu we have FSR now and ray tracing doesn't make a difference at look in AAA tittles it only makes your eyes bleed from the light ray tracing is only worth in Minecraft for me because it litterly changes the whole game (as of looks) and if you look the temps and wattage Rx 6600xt wins it is better than RTX 3060 not the ti tho and if you look prices rx6600xt is cheaper for like 150-200 bucks in most places and ti 300-400 bucks more so rx6600xt is the way to go atm
Rx6600xt is basically a crap. We pay for a card which is balanced overall. Nvidia's RTX technology is untouchable. And AMD is still decades behind on it. Hence, RTX 3060 is bulldozing the XT.

Well according to this video it's 27% faster, but the 3060 has gained some performance due to driver optimization. You can also push the vanilla 3060 quite a bit farther with an overclock. Not bad considering the ti has always been significantly more expensive.
@@HanSolo__ well of course i have an rtx 3060 and i have been playing ray tracing titles no problem with dlss on 1080p, doom eternal, control, minecraft rtx and metro exodus enhanced all of them at 60+ fps and max out settings the only one that i get 50 to 60 fps depending on the zone that i go is cyberpunk but i have seen the 3060 ti having the same drops on the same zone even a 3070 so that game is very expensive with ray tracing or is just a pretty bad optimize game same as the ascent
prices of rx 6600xt are actually lowest in stores of any of this cards even MSRP are higher then of rtx 3060 and 20$ only lower then Ti version but in stores are actually 60-200$ cheaper
its crazy how the rx 6600 xt beats the 3060 and matches the ti with its super low price. The only downside is raytracing bc less cuda but the price diff is enough to overlook it
I think maybe 1% of gamers think or care about ray tracing... My Pulse 6650 XT 8GB eats just 80-130W (143W tops spikes) in games in 1080p. That's crazy, given my older 3060ti ate 200W in the same games on the same settings with minimal FPS difference. I also had a Nitro+ 6800XT 16GB, which didn't go under 240W anywhere, mostly 260W with undervolt already! I hate that power consumption, given inflation etc. The best was my last years Nitro+ 6700XT 12GB. It sat mostly around 180W, gave performance of a 3070/2080ti, but had less TDP, 12GB and cost less too. I went for the 6650 XT cause 1, I don't need over 8GB for 1080p and 2, I don't care for virtual FPS hunting to feel good
I absolutely agree but rtx is eventually gonna be one of those “must have” features and yes nvidia is ahead in that but that comes with a higher markup. I use a 4070ti for editing/modeling but for pure gaming I run amd since it’s just an overall better deal. I will say rtx isn’t for everyone but I love to play some portal rtx from time to time
It's not even close to the 3060 ti. Maybe in 2-3 cherry picked games, but overall they are in in different tier levels, especially when any level of raytracing is involved.

You need a PSU like Corsair HX1000i which can be connected through USB cable to a motherboard and then you can check the total power consumption directly from the PSU in software (HWiNFO)
To be fair it is hard to have NO bottleneck, Imo there is no problem on having a bit here and there, also depends on your resolution... I wouldn't recommend to go over the 3060 for 1080p, and you'll have some bottlenecks here and there, but still, you're way better on buying a better graphic card now and getting an i5 or i7 in the future, or even buying higher resolution monitors, videocards tend to stay relevant for quite a long time, take the RX 470 and 570 for example, they were meant for 1080p high~ultra 60fps, they can still do 1080p medium 60fps on most games, after 6 fucking years, if you take the i5 6400 from the same time, you can barely open games now, and people used to say 4 cores would be enough for a long time

AMD's GPU's are powerful but lack common features that Nvidia offers. It's like, do you want a powerful card without features or a very decent card with features for the same amount of money.
No-one is going to use RT at this range of GPUs however. Who wants to game at less than 50 fps. And dlss is not all that good at 1080p, it's more meant for 1440p and above because of jagged lines and stuff

I have a request, could you make a video with the 5600G paired with a dedicaded gpu such as 3060 TI, 6700 XT or above in some cpu heavy games, such as call of duty: warzone (utilizes heavy avx and most cpu struggle to maintain 144fps in heavy areas such as downtown) cyberpunk with rtx on and low res with ultra low dlss (ray tracing in this game is super heavy on cpu too)? With overclock and all power limits manually disabled so we can see how it actually performs? It would be an interesting test as no one tested like this yet and the ones who did are biased or suspicious.Thanks.

With 3070ti you will bottleneck on the CPU. Ryzen 7 5xxx are cheap now. But X 3-gen series will be too far for ASUS am X370 There are Ryzen 7 5xxx G of 2-gen which could fit there. If the X370 Pro is AM4, then 3-gen Ryzen 7 5xxx should work as well. I wouldn't pick 3060. If so, only 3060ti. But, if you can get 3070ti for 800euro. Go for it. I would need 1000 euro to pay for the cheapest 3060ti here. As for the monitor I am also on the old LG with 60MHz and will go for 144MHz as soon as possible.
@@HanSolo__ no, 1st generation AM4 boards only supports up to Zen2 (3000 series). And also be mindful that not all boards are getting support from each manufacturers. Even my MSi X370 SLI PLUS got the support very late back in the early 2020s.

FSR is good, but its up to devs if they will implement it into already released titles - or, in some cases, modders can do that as well. What i dislike about the tech is, they claim supporting Nvidia GPUs as well, but it´s not guaranteed, just like G-sync compatible on Freesync monitors.

@@hannes0000 price, power consumption and availability. the 3060 ti is over 100 watts on average to the 6600 xt and 3060 for barely 20 fps at most in triple A games. a 3060 ti costs 900 usd after tax minimum, a 6600 xt costs 700 usd max after tax. Your paying over 200 usd for 14-20 fps difference when your low is 60-70fps minimum...
Pc for crisis COVID19 - Kit X99 / Xeon E5 2640 V3 / 16GB ddr4 2333mhz / SSD 1tb / RX 6600 XT. Of course 12gb vram helps a lot with textures. If you are demanding go from RTX 3060.
12GB of Vram for 1080p is almost worthless and this xeon will bottleneck the 6600XT heavily, one because it's a weak and old CPU with low clocks and two because of the PCI-e 3.0 that it has. Awful combo.
The amd line of graphics cards is really not good for the future. Now that there is a game that uses unreal engine 6, amd will lose to Nvidia. Just the game image from 1080x1080 to 1440x1440 will make amd less efficient.

And Im saying this as someone who has been using AMD cards so far, im very disappointed with their drivers and software, imagine an RX 590 not being able to support directx 12.1 and 12.2 but the gtx 960, which is much older, can do it. 6600Xt 135W max power, equal in performance with 3060 170W and sometimes with 3060Ti 235W. Incredible tech achiewment, with less energy, the same and best performance than nvidia.
6600 XT total graphics power is around 160W not 135W.
AMD is not reporting entire power consumption of all the components of the GPU, like VRM power, memory controller, display output power etc..
Nvidia is reporting power consumption differently but showing total board power including all of the components.
The real power consumption is showed in the video and it's total power consumption. The total W comes directly from the PSU and in most games is around 10-20W difference between 6600 XT and 3060.

DLSS looks bad at 1080p, you need at least 1440p to look decent because upscaling low resolution image doesn't work well.
MY GTX 970 after 6 years and 9 months is dying.. since 3 days ago it startec crashing during games. And my pc technciails came today and saw the pc and he said that two of the 3 fans are not working which is why it crashes. #Putuutu we have FSR now and ray tracing doesn't make a difference at look in AAA tittles it only makes your eyes bleed from the light ray tracing is only worth in Minecraft for me because it litterly changes the whole game (as of looks) and if you look the temps and wattage Rx 6600xt wins it is better than RTX 3060 not the ti tho and if you look prices rx6600xt is cheaper for like 150-200 bucks in most places and ti 300-400 bucks more so rx6600xt is the way to go atm
Rx6600xt is basically a crap. We pay for a card which is balanced overall. Nvidia's RTX technology is untouchable. And AMD is still decades behind on it. Hence, RTX 3060 is bulldozing the XT.
Nice performance for the Ti, especially with ray tracing enabled, but the power use is out of the ball park. Also costs some 20% more than the XT.

Well according to this video it's 27% faster, but the 3060 has gained some performance due to driver optimization. You can also push the vanilla 3060 quite a bit farther with an overclock. Not bad considering the ti has always been significantly more expensive.

@@HanSolo__ well of course i have an rtx 3060 and i have been playing ray tracing titles no problem with dlss on 1080p, doom eternal, control, minecraft rtx and metro exodus enhanced all of them at 60+ fps and max out settings the only one that i get 50 to 60 fps depending on the zone that i go is cyberpunk but i have seen the 3060 ti having the same drops on the same zone even a 3070 so that game is very expensive with ray tracing or is just a pretty bad optimize game same as the ascent
prices of rx 6600xt are actually lowest in stores of any of this cards even MSRP are higher then of rtx 3060 and 20$ only lower then Ti version but in stores are actually 60-200$ cheaper

its crazy how the rx 6600 xt beats the 3060 and matches the ti with its super low price. The only downside is raytracing bc less cuda but the price diff is enough to overlook it

My Pulse 6650 XT 8GB eats just 80-130W (143W tops spikes) in games in 1080p. That's crazy, given my older 3060ti ate 200W in the same games on the same settings with minimal FPS difference. I also had a Nitro+ 6800XT 16GB, which didn't go under 240W anywhere, mostly 260W with undervolt already! I hate that power consumption, given inflation etc. The best was my last years Nitro+ 6700XT 12GB. It sat mostly around 180W, gave performance of a 3070/2080ti, but had less TDP, 12GB and cost less too.
I went for the 6650 XT cause 1, I don't need over 8GB for 1080p and 2, I don't care for virtual FPS hunting to feel good
I absolutely agree but rtx is eventually gonna be one of those “must have” features and yes nvidia is ahead in that but that comes with a higher markup. I use a 4070ti for editing/modeling but for pure gaming I run amd since it’s just an overall better deal. I will say rtx isn’t for everyone but I love to play some portal rtx from time to time
It's not even close to the 3060 ti. Maybe in 2-3 cherry picked games, but overall they are in in different tier levels, especially when any level of raytracing is involved.

You need a PSU like Corsair HX1000i which can be connected through USB cable to a motherboard and then you can check the total power consumption directly from the PSU in software (HWiNFO)

I wouldn't recommend to go over the 3060 for 1080p, and you'll have some bottlenecks here and there, but still, you're way better on buying a better graphic card now and getting an i5 or i7 in the future, or even buying higher resolution monitors, videocards tend to stay relevant for quite a long time, take the RX 470 and 570 for example, they were meant for 1080p high~ultra 60fps, they can still do 1080p medium 60fps on most games, after 6 fucking years, if you take the i5 6400 from the same time, you can barely open games now, and people used to say 4 cores would be enough for a long time
and to think, I paid $200 for an rx 570 a year ago. Now I can get a 6600 XT for only $270!

I don't understand why your gpu core clock of 3060 ti shows mostly 1935-1950 mhz, while mine is 1890 usually. I have asus dual oc version, and a temperature of 63 grades, which should allow 1950 mhz also

I have a request, could you make a video with the 5600G paired with a dedicaded gpu such as 3060 TI, 6700 XT or above in some cpu heavy games, such as call of duty: warzone (utilizes heavy avx and most cpu struggle to maintain 144fps in heavy areas such as downtown) cyberpunk with rtx on and low res with ultra low dlss (ray tracing in this game is super heavy on cpu too)? With overclock and all power limits manually disabled so we can see how it actually performs? It would be an interesting test as no one tested like this yet and the ones who did are biased or suspicious.Thanks.

With 3070ti you will bottleneck on the CPU. Ryzen 7 5xxx are cheap now. But X 3-gen series will be too far for ASUS am X370 There are Ryzen 7 5xxx G of 2-gen which could fit there. If the X370 Pro is AM4, then 3-gen Ryzen 7 5xxx should work as well.
I wouldn't pick 3060. If so, only 3060ti. But, if you can get 3070ti for 800euro. Go for it. I would need 1000 euro to pay for the cheapest 3060ti here.
As for the monitor I am also on the old LG with 60MHz and will go for 144MHz as soon as possible.

@@zuezsz The 6600 xt barely beats the rtx 3060 but neither does it reach the rtx 3060 ti and for the price of the 6600xt the 3060 ti is better and it will be much higher with Ray tracing with nvidia dlss technology makes it far superior to the 6600 xt in both performance and price

FSR is good, but its up to devs if they will implement it into already released titles - or, in some cases, modders can do that as well.
What i dislike about the tech is, they claim supporting Nvidia GPUs as well, but it´s not guaranteed, just like G-sync compatible on Freesync monitors.

Your paying over 200 usd for 14-20 fps difference when your low is 60-70fps minimum...

Of course 12gb vram helps a lot with textures. If you are demanding go from RTX 3060.
12GB of Vram for 1080p is almost worthless and this xeon will bottleneck the 6600XT heavily, one because it's a weak and old CPU with low clocks and two because of the PCI-e 3.0 that it has. Awful combo.

The amd line of graphics cards is really not good for the future. Now that there is a game that uses unreal engine 6, amd will lose to Nvidia. Just the game image from 1080x1080 to 1440x1440 will make amd less efficient.
