Bergara`s B14 model Wilderness series as the name suggests is designed for uncompromising performance out in the real world with lightweight construction, Cerakote finishes, fluted bolts and on this model a thumbhole stock with carbon or steel barrelled options.
Thumbhole stocks are my favourite especially when this one is tough yet lightweight, the whole rifle is only 6lbs 6 ozs in .308 Win! so very hunter friendly. This is balanced, literally with the short 20 inch barrel that has a slim profiled steel barrel beneath a carbon fibre wrap to add strength yet again achieve lightness for a very nimble rifle in the field which is appreciated as the years roll on! So, what you have is a rifle that is strong, weather proof with all exposed metal parts Cerakote finished complemented by a precision trigger mechanism and AICS compatible detachable magazines. The Wilderness offers great value for money at £1,445.00 considering the carbon wrapped barrel that most manufacturers put an elevated price premium on.

I wish Bergara would offer that thumb hole stock is the US. Not sure why they don’t.

Hi Thanks , yes shot at the end of the rut so gene pool all good and yes great rifle but like all carbon fibre wrapped rifles they have their preferences to ammo, hence honest test, hope that helps.
What scope rings you have?
This is the Wilderness Thumbhole...the "Wilderness" is the series...
You could just take out the swivel studs. use a flat screw, like what comes with the Spartan mount.

Watching a bunch of videos on Bergara, it seems their carbon fiber barrels are not precise. It sucks being that I love the precision of their steel barrels, but hate the weight for hunting.
Great video. I just bought one but haven't received it yet. 1 to 2 days they said. The American version is different in some ways. I don't know much about gun laws in the UK but I'm glad you guys can own a nice rifle and suppressors.
