Some holsters that have worked well for my Ruger LCR .38 special. Support the Channel BTC: bc1qdah9gv6qc2rlnarcx2lacqna2dml0jnetlfux6 DOGE: DChXfZVgHAez6Zi395TaLUS8FUGkkt1NDq
Nice presentation! My LCR9 stays in a Sticky Pocket/IWB holster and I've got a Hogue Boot Grip on it. Completely dissappears even in cargo shorts & a tee. Love my LCR! 😁
Ruger makes a leather LCR specific pocket holster& I also use the Tagua belt or DeSantis pocket holders. The DeSantis also fits S&W Airweight .38spl 2in barrel revolvers.
If you had to go back and customize your Alpha Concealment holster again, would you add a sweat shield? I really like the design of the holster; but, I can’t decide on that aspect of it for myself.
I found this on line, This device allows you to carry yours speed strips, More conveniently, Similar to the way you would carry your pocket knife. However I couldn't Attach the Web page with this is the name of the device, RASC: Revolver Ammunition Strip Concealment
I don't even use a holster for pocket carry as it would be redundant since with the pants I wear the gun stays put and does not move around. Also prints much less without the bulk of a holster especially that thick DeSantis thing.
The LCP Nemesis Pocket works too(not really an LCR 'holster'). It doesn't cover the trigger but it holds the gun upright if you just wanna stick it in a front pants/coat pocket, no- holster like.
6-year-old video, but if you still answer questions, I'm trying to get my LCR off my body and on to my mountain bike. Do you think the Appendix would hold it over ruff terrain ?
That alpha concealment holster looks nice, bet it would be great with an ulticlip. I went to their website is the one you have with it without a sweat shield?

I used to think the LCR was a great gun too….until I shot it with +P defensive ammo. To say shooting this gun is painful doesn’t come close to describing the experience of pulling the trigger on this gun. You better hope you drop your assailant with the first shot because you won’t be doing any follow-up shots with that thing. Blast, muzzle flip and recoil are off the charts on the LCR and I’m a 200 lb man.

.38 Spc defensive ammo isn’t great out of a 2” barrel. Check out wadcutters though! Low recoil and good terminal ballistics.
Sounds like you need to work a bit on recoil control and recovery. I’ve shot the lcr with +p ammo, (129 grain +p, and 158 grain +p) while most definitely uncomfortable, it’s not nearly as bad as you and some others say. And I’m an underweight 155 pound 6’4 individual. My buddy who’s built like a shit brick house 240 pound muscle gorilla shoots it with 0 issue, he just doesn’t like how the grip detailing on the rubber back strap area digs into his skin.

@@tricksterjoy9740Of course you can train up to it but it’s highly likely you’ll develop a flinch. From Genitron it has 7.17 ft lbs recoil with 125 grain .38 +P. The LCP Max is around 4.78 with a 90 gr .380 ACP for a somewhat comparable round.
To be fair my perspective on the matter may be very skewed, first handgun i ever fired was a 4” .44 magnum. First rifle was a 8mm Mauser. It was like 2-3 years after first getting those that I fired a .22lr. I’ve been told I did things a bit backwards.
And It may be related but I do get a partial facial twitch/flinch but it so far has not affected accuracy, (4-6” groups at 25 yards, .44 magnum with fixed sights) I (generally) do 25 yards with any pistol with a 4” or more barrel, 15 yards for anything shorter. Go to the range once a month, shoot no less then 500 rounds. (I’d go more but budget and busy schedule) and i practice dry fire and laser drills as often as possible.
I’m wondering, in your experience, which holster (DeSantis or Remora) maintained its “stickiness” longer? My Remora became too smooth to stay in my waistband after less than a year of use.
Matt G1776 The rattle is from the transfer bar, a safety feature to prevent firing if it's dropped. In order to work it has to be free flowing & only "firms up" when the trigger is actually pulled. You shouldn't have let the rattle turn you off, its simply a part of the smooth cam operated trigger system, part of why the Ruger LCR has such a uniquely smooth trigger.
F.Y.I. - 5 Star Firearms makes a speed loader specifically for the LCR, the model J2-357/38. The price is $19.95. I love mine. They work great.

The 5 star firearms speed loader works great.
Good video. Nice selection of holsters. I use the 'sticky' brand. I jam it down behind my belt buckle. Works for me
My Speedbeez speedloader works great with my LCR. Great gun it’s my first and still my favorite one👍
Anthony Guidas I'll have to pick one of those up too.
Just an FYI about speed loaders. I have the LCR 22 and the Speed Beez loader and it works great and you only have to push it in, no twisting involved.
Good video, but would be even better if you showed us how each holster looked while you are wearing it. How do you wear an IWB holster with no clip?
I think that Tagua looks like the best one out of these holsters.
Very informative, thank you.

Love love love my sticky holster
Could use that "Tagwa" as a cross draw while driving with a vest or jacket, very comfortable!

Well done video. Thank you.

I have the trigger guard on mine. It's perfect 👌
Have you tried 5 star speed loaders model J2 for the LCR? Works with Hogue grips. A bit pricey an d less concealable but faster reloads.
Stephen Fay no I haven't. I'll grab one and check it out, thanks for the recommendation

Great briefing.
I'm a lefty and it's been difficult to find a left handed holster, are these all for right hand? If so do you know any ones for leftys?
I have the Bianchi model 57. It’s made for the LCR and it works very well.
The Ringmaster The DeSantis should work right or left handed
I have to get an IWB holster for my LCR .357 Magnum. I normally carry something else with me every gay (Glock 42), but I need to upgrade my carry.

I kinda was hoping for actually seeing it on the waste.
Any recommendations for inside the waist holster for the LCR 22LR for a left handed person?
What has been your favorite holster out of the ones you tried in this video?
How about a moon clip?
I'm having a hard time finding an outside the waist kydex for my lcrx 9mm. please let me know if you do...
Great info. Thanks for the video.
thanks

Will these work for a LCRx .22 mag? Mine has a hammer.
Does anyone make a pocket holster for an LCRX 3 inch.?
Would you say it’s easy to conceal in the pocket in khakis or dress pants?
Is the Remora good for the LCR 22LR?
hammerhead222 Yes, LCR IN .22, .22mag, .38, etc etc are all the same size revolver holster-wise
Will the 3 inch fit in a pocket holster
Yes
I like that pistol and wanted to purchase it , but that rattle kept me from it .

Why not moon clips..???
The cylinder would need to be cut for moon clips. Unless you meant to say speed loaders.
Thanks
