- Most angler and youtubers I've seen really over think what a floating worm is and does. I keep this techniques super simple and that makes it HIGHLY EFFECTIVE.

I been killing it in Tennessee on a zoom trick worm. Hopping it in and around rock piles has been the ticket the last few days.
Nice! It's hard to go wrong with the old trick worm.
Last Thanksgiving I fished a floating worm on Wheeler Lake in north Alabama. There was a cold front coming through and it was rainy and I caught about 20 in less than an hour from the bank, didn’t even need a boat! Probably one of my favorite days of fishing in the last few years.
That's just one of those awesome days! Prefect place, time, and bait. Awesome!
Good tips Hank. I appreciate you sharing your knowledge, and experience with us to make us better fisherman. You rock big guy. 🤘🎣
You Rock Brian! Where you from man?
@@BassGeek I was born/raised in southern California, and I currently live in Oregon. My wife and I are contemplating a move to Florida in the near future.
@@brianlee9074 I sure would love to fish with you. Thanks for all the support.
@@BassGeek Same here man. Thanks. Keep up the good work. 🤘
@@BassGeek Not sure if you saw it, but I sent you an email on the 8th with a few photos. Mostly to thank you for the fishing invite, and a little bit about me. Love your channel big guy! 🤘
Been having a lot of success using a floating worm here in Western PA the last 2 weeks. Great video look forward to more
Thanks I love the thing.
🔥🔥 I love fishing the floating worm 🪱 on topwater at night, solid green. Idk what it is, but it gets it done. Thanks for the video and tips 👊👊
That’s a great tip!
Madmatt fishing I can’t find the green ones where u get them
Been planning on bringing them ol trick worms out to play and got some T macs on the way to try....just hard to put down the ol monster, it's been getting numbers!
Love the ol monster
I will try this for sure. My bass are still in prespawn. I need to work on my finesse fishing this year.
That's crazy you're skipping a weightless worm on a baitcaster.
That setup is soooooooooooooooooooooooo sweet.
Always easy to soak up that experience with you Hank!
Great job!
Thank you very much.
I am really excited to try out the floating worm. I usually fish Ned rigs, shaky heads, wacky worms. But i have never caught a fish using this technique.
When it's on it's sooooo dang fun.
Very key bait during those times! Great time to put this info/video out Hank. Great tips too! 👌
It's right for sure.
Dude seriously your videos rock
Ty for all the specifics you give to do what and why
It’s so helpful
Thank you so much. I love to help. I had to learn it all on my own.
I went out today after watching some of. your floating worm vids about bubble gum and methiolate. I didn't have any on hand so I improvised with a big bite bait Kamikazee craw which is close to methiolate that I had. I went to a "dirty pond" and within 15 minutes two bass absolutely crushed it. I understand you have put years of experience into videos to help out
its very appreciated and generous. I know the feeling of putting years into something and then just handing over all the info just to make it easy for someone else. sorry to be long winded just my long way of saying thank you
Man you know the stuff, apprehension you and the work you put in these videos.
Thank you I try for sure.
Love your tips and tricks, you've taught me so much and helped me land a few more bass!!!
Thanks! That's awesome! That means everything to me.
Great video. I’ll have to try the floating worm out.
It's great in the early post spawn.
Hey Hank, great tips! I got on the wacky rig a couple yrs back. Hard to put it down! It’s a fish catcher!
Yes sir add that to a floating worm and you have money during the post spawn.
Great video 👍🏻
2 reels I use the most are lews custom pro and tournament lite both are excellent reels. I’m really wanting to try out a kistler
This rod is off the charts.
Great video thanks for the tips!
Thank you for the support
Great explanation. Your guidance is essential 👏🏻👆🏻
Thank you a bunch
I use to through them on a baitholder hook. I’ve changed now but it worked good back then.
That's cool. I love'em!
I learned this from bass resource a few years ago, I love it and it’s also how I learned to kinda use a jerk bait starting out. Solid stuff man thanks for reminding me of this technique!!!
This is a great little bait this time of year.
I absolutely love floating worms an flukes as always thank you for sharing as always you Rock
I hear that. I am a soft jerkbait crazy!
That's exactly how I do it. I use a 7' medium heavy baitcaster with 14 pound mono. I usually fish it around the edge of lilly pads, grass banks, brush and dead falls in shallow water. In deeper water I slide on a 1/16 -1/8 oz bullet weight.
Awesome. Thanks for adding the deeper part. Great info.
Love it have it tied on right now. June bug though lol
Get'em!
Howdy Geek mine is aYum dinger, green pumpkin and perl
Love the dingers
Hey Bassgeek, I love your videos. And I love those shade you have on. Can you tell me what model they are from Waterland? I can't find those square lenses that fit my fat head. The info is appreciated Sir.
Thanks and keep uo the good videos.
Thanks man they are the Sobro green mirror there is a link and discount in the description of the video.
@@BassGeek yes I clicked the link. But it just brings you to the website. It doesn't say what specific glasses they are. Good thing I asked. Because I clicked on something else. Thank you - Thank you!!
good video as always brother
Thank you very much!
Subbed… just came across your channel… is the Texas rig floating worm primarily a Baitcaster setup and the wacky rig a spinning rod setup? Hoping you could clarify
No you can use anything you want and fish it anyway you want.
Subbed today. No B.S. I like that. Earlier video said tell you where we're from. I'm from PGH. Expecting pre- spawn, on the beds and so on. These bass haven't gotten there yet. Imo. Water temps just now getting to mid sixties. Have had a brutal time of it. I usually catch them up on the bank in June. Is there that much difference? Two weeks ago it went down to 29°. It's sparse for others also.
Shew those cold front will hold’em down for sure
Great Information Hank! 👍 I used the trick 🪱 and the 4 inch finesse worms when I first started around the spawn season for bass.i also have a few zeros laying around, and bubble gum trick worms out of elaztec, i knew it floated, but never fished it as a floating worm? I bought them to cut into Ned rigs!. And now im happy I have floating worms again! Thx man!
Awesome they can be killer so I'm happy I helped.
Sunday and Wednesday got it plus it funny floating worm
Hahahaha thanks
What lake you at? I know bassmunitions was in Honaker, Virginia 15 min from the house last I remember. Anyway figured I'd check to see if you was from near here. 😆
We'll I keep this one on the down low. It's small and good but very small.
@@BassGeek I've been on boone lake, soho, and cherokee. And I grew up on soho. I know all the little coves on the VA side. Lol. Well I'll see ya in more vids man.
Love the content Bro
Thanks man!
Prob my favorite fishing bait other than a true top water bite!
I love a floating worm.
I’m a wacky rig believer for life.
Wacky is great and my favorite way but you gotta go weedless at times to get int the brush.
Floating worms are an easy beginner bait, IMO. They have a lot of forgiveness is how you fish them. In my experience, you can be a bit sloppy on the retrieve and still catch fish. In fact, sometimes the sloppier the better.
That's true slop can = erratic in this case.
An awesome channel ❤
Thank you so much.
Have you ever tried the Danny Joe Humphreys floating worm?
You mean the original! Don’t leave home without that sherbet!
Dude I haven’t gotten any of your videos at all recently. Imma unsub and resub.
Cheers 🍻
