I bought that pup, and sent it back. Just like yours, it’s sounded like the you put a mute on the bridge. The double stops sounded a little better, but a guy of your level should be using a DPA. I know they’re a little clumsy, but its like playing while someone is holding a Neumann up to the sweet spot while you’re walking around on stage rocking out!

Not sure how it would sound on the stereo but I like the Shure sound the best listening on the phone... Nice playing!!!✌

Any difference in sound if I mount the plug-in part to the left of my chinrest vs the right of my chinrest?

What's the difference in tone, if you wedge it on the G string side of the bridge vs the E string side?

It was workable with the platinum pro. Higher volume situations can’t handle a condenser mic like a DPA, and a pickup/pre combo is necessary. I use Eric Aceto’s pickup with the Fishman Aura Spectrum. If I were buying today I’d look for a pre with impulse responses, including the Tonedexter. Line 6 just added IRs to their HX Stomp. I’d like to hear that one with a good pickup.

Hmm, I normally don't mind the pickup-on-fiddle sound, even when it's obvious, but I really disliked this one, it didn't have the normal electricy sound, it just sounded muted

All the pick ups sound horrible. Seems like the violin has a flu. Runny nouse. I feel need a cleanex. The mica are Defenetely better
