Hi Colin , I used to own an old Transporter bus , like the Green and white one , but mine was Blue and white ! , great vans , but with dodgy steering systems ! , I don't go to shows , because I would spend all the Money I don't have , Be Well my Friend , love to Family and Branston !🙂❤👍
I enjoyed our visit to the show. The big Motorhomes look nice but I much prefer the camper vans they are more practical but I suppose everyone enjoys different types of holiday 👋👋
Kid in a sweet shop comes to mind!! We're considering a Base Camp for towing behind our van for when we take family. More sleeping plus toilet/shower and cooking - it's like an annex that you can leave behind when not needed. I say considering, we like the idea, the bank manager doesn't. Looks like a great show, thanks for being there and sharing.
I went to the Birmingham NEC caravan motorhome show and realised everything there was at least £15,000 more than last year! Crazy. I'll stick with my transporter too! 🤣👏👏👍
How daft am I, I really thought you'd be dragging things out to fill 30 minutes buying a hob. Put off watching this for days! Turns out to be the best vid of the Yorkshire show I've seen. Top entertainment :-)
Great vlog, again. It’s horses for courses. I fancy a bigger van, but I realise that I wouldn’t be able to go as many places as I can with my transporter.
hiya colin just come across your channel as you had the same show badge as us in your thumbnail🤣 but really enjoyed your vlog so have subscribed watch the quiff and happy travels looking forward to more vlogs
Fast turn around! Top secret, we just placed an order for an Autotrail Adventure 65 campervan. Don't tell anyone 🤣 Selling our T6. 1 in August. We want more room Col, and privacy to pee! Love the Fiat Ducato range.... Big love 🤙🏻
Hey Colin. Laughed when I saw you stow your steering lock between the seats. I've stopped doing that as every time I brake hard it shoots out like a missile and gets stuck under the pedals!
Great video. We had tickets for today (Sunday) and following your tip got there for 09:30 but obviously not as many people up early so got in straight away. We only bought a collapsible colander for camper, oh and a bottle of rum too.
So many vans - but none as nice, practical and homely as yours! As for size - it’s horses for courses, depends what we want from our vans. I would like to have a slightly larger van than our 5m but OH insists it can’t be longer than a car. Thanks for all the work Colin. Hope you all have a great weekend. 💕🐾
Trust me Colin we have done the motorhome bit. Our was quite new build quality was rubbish . Had to pay for storage and couldn't park any where. Try getting one of those down Devon and Cornwall lanes. Wasn't for us personally. We got our t6 from Middlesex camper vans. absolutely love it . Drive and park anywhere and VW build quality. Great for holidays and days out.
cracking video Colin, you've pulled off a miracle with the small amount of time you had for editing. We are going to the show tomorrow and i wont be paying £3 for a coffee 😂
Hi collin it was great meeting you In person today at the show when I caught up with you in your van editing hope I didn't disturb you too much lol hope you had a good day hopefully meet you again sometime Steve
Is it soft close …..BANG💥 oh @&€$ leg it! 🤣 brilliant - couldn’t agree more on how those larger vans just blend into one for the lack of any colour/ individuality. Thank you for putting that together - I was hoping to go, but work has me in northern 🇳🇴
Great video. Feel like I've been😃 Also thanks for last week's video Colin, it inspired me to shelve out and illuminate my own storage corner. It needed doing😉👍
Some great sound bites in there. Had me laughing 😂 Just come back from dalesbridge and ran into two other subscribers there. Hope you sorted out a commission 😋 Looking forward to a YPTA meet up now
Great video as always, puts a smile on our faces every time we watch your videos. We sold our 12 month old Cali Ocean last year as we found it difficult ( both retired) with facilities, toilet shower especially during covid restrictions. Getting our new vw Crafter conversion next week, so still retaining the vw badge. Quite a few of the RUclips vloggers we follow have moved to the Crafter too.
Thanks for getting your video up Colin. Cracking as ever. Looked like a great show. Not sure if I’m with you on the induction hob. That’s a lot of gas and a lot of cooking to warrant it mate. Still interested in seeing what it delivers your power station.
Enjoyed that Colin and as you said the price structure is mad but what can you do !! We will be there tomorrow in are T6 Caledonian camper and hope we are not tempted to part ex
Great vid mate live in Yorkshire myself and starting van life.can you what sort it lead you use to connect your solar panel to your eco flow river I’d appreciate it.
Great vid as always Colin. Very lighthearted and informative. Was thinking of visiting the show this weekend but it looks mainly larger motor homes based, so probably won’t bother. More interested in VW small campers and parts which doesn’t appear there was much of?
What make was the induction hob Colin, we have been looking for one a while and never seen a loger wattage one, most are 2000w plus … perhaps you can do a review for us. We want to use one on our inverter and Cook via power of the sun
Hi Colin back to last week and your shelf with the 2 cup holders etc. I have a 66 Transformer with 2 swiveling front seats, Mine is also white but has a fixed high top 2½ meter clearance plenty of room for the quiff. Between the front seats is the hand brake which would not be assessable with your shelf above it think its a great idea, any suggestions. Bill Kelly
Hiya Bill, sorry for the late reply, I have been thinking of possible ideas for your van. So far I haven't come to any suitable conclusion. I reckon if you speak to the chaps at Seatshelf they will be able to fabricate one that fits perfectly around your current set up ;)
Haha true story matey, I was rushing a bit to get the video out so didn't have much time to get the shots I wanted .. I might do an "uncut" version in a few weeks though, with just the van b roll stuff ;)
Would I spend 30, 40 ,50 ,60 k, no, and not because I'm Scottish, lol, just because it gets to a point that your not camping in the meaning of camping, it becomes a mobile flat/house, you lose the whole philosophy of camping , which makes no sense , its all about going back to basics , and embracing the basics !!!
Very nicely put together video, thanks for visiting the show!
We are paying for the VW badge. I have no problems with that love my T5. 😍😍😍😍

😎Excellent as always but very Beige 🤣👍
We'll never get rid of Geoff
My wife says the same!😁
I enjoyed our visit to the show. The big Motorhomes look nice but I much prefer the camper vans they are more practical but I suppose everyone enjoys different types of holiday 👋👋
'Another great video Colin. 'Loads of great ideas (for when I win the lottery). :)
As someone who's lived in London for 20 years its always great to see which roads out of Otley I can still recognise :-)
Thanks for the great tour. £60k for a vw transporter, no chance! Like how there were used models there too.
Kid in a sweet shop comes to mind!!

Great video! I went to the caravan show at the NEC and there was a T6.1 camper van that cost £80k 😳😂
How daft am I, I really thought you'd be dragging things out to fill 30 minutes buying a hob. Put off watching this for days! Turns out to be the best vid of the Yorkshire show I've seen. Top entertainment :-)
Great fun as ever Colin. Thank you for taking us there with you.
Great vlog, again.
It’s horses for courses. I fancy a bigger van, but I realise that I wouldn’t be able to go as many places as I can with my transporter.
We were there later than you. We are laughing at you being in all the cupboards, nooks and crannys in the vans. Very funny😂
Great video' keep them coming 😀 👌

Exactly not going to get those on an average car parking space
Great video, informative and fun. Thanks Colin.
Nice to see you liked the Elddis campervans and motorhomes. I work for them in their maintenance department.
I thought it would have been busier, probably will be at weekend. some good stuff there
cracking video Colin, you've pulled off a miracle with the small amount of time you had for editing. We are going to the show tomorrow and i wont be paying £3 for a coffee 😂
Great vlog. That vw with the snorkel and off road tyres looked bad ass

I've never laughed so much " And its not Beige " 😆😆
Great video, T6 prices are getting ridiculous compared to what you could get for the same money.
Great video. Feel like I've been😃

Yeah I think thatll be what I do in a few years
"When you go camping in Rotherham..." 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Aye 54 grand…. More beige

Hey buddy, thank you so much... I use the lead that actually comes with the EcoFlow bud ;)
Great vid as always Colin. Very lighthearted and informative. Was thinking of visiting the show this weekend but it looks mainly larger motor homes based, so probably won’t bother. More interested in VW small campers and parts which doesn’t appear there was much of?
Thanks buddy Yeah there wasn't many VWs there was about 30 in total :) great show though...
Hi Colin to many nice van & things to buy. Do you have a link or name of where you bought small folding shelf in your van ?
Cheers Davie
Hey buddy, it's from Dub Styling but you have to message them directly via their website to get one as it's not a stock item ;)
What make was the induction hob Colin, we have been looking for one a while and never seen a loger wattage one, most are 2000w plus … perhaps you can do a review for us. We want to use one on our inverter and Cook via power of the sun
Hiya it's by a company called Leisurewise 300w to 2000w and it works on my power bank too ;)
I'll talk about it in my next video bud ;)
@@Yorkshirepoptopadventures Thats awesome tack så mycket 🇸🇪🇬🇧👍 … too bad we cant subscribe twice !

First time view of your blog. A bit too much of you. I’d like to have seen more of the van. You have great enthusiasm tho which is great to see.
Haha true story matey, I was rushing a bit to get the video out so didn't have much time to get the shots I wanted .. I might do an "uncut" version in a few weeks though, with just the van b roll stuff ;)
You better not be deserting VW lol
You’re turning into a motorhomer (Moho)
Bought a 400w mini plug in heater, lasted less than an hour, £15 down the drain
That's rubbish matey!
Any colour as long as it's beige
Would you ever consider making a tear drop camper trailer from scratch for the van?
We have thought about it but its probably past my DIY paygrade 🤣🤣
@@Yorkshirepoptopadventures I think you should crowd fund it, that would be an awesome series.
Is this soft close?
*SLAM*
I’m not letting you in my van...
🤣🤣🤣🤣 brilliant
£50k for a van, 😀. £3 for a coffee 😳
Do you realise you called the hob an induction heater 😁
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Ooops

Sorry but for me the VW’s seem to be a bit overrated and over priced.
You're absolutely right mate, they are brilliant vans (convenient etc) but the prices are astronomical at the moment....
