- GUYS! I literally went to Upulo, Samoa all by myself. I have to say I felt like the coolest person on the planet simply because I didn't die. hahah!
I experienced some really cool stuff and I got to test my limits (and my mums as she freaked out via Instagram). I also met some of the most wonderful humans and got to see the most extraordinary sights.
Oh what a life. I am so grateful for the things of this Earth and the kind souls of strangers and the sweetness of God xx

Hey guys!! My name is Elisabeth Beemer! I am 19 a beauty, fashion, and life style vlogger currently traveling the world in search of wander, music, culture, community, and adventure.
Born and Raised in Manchester, England, I lived there until I was 10 then moved to America for 9 months, then Abuja, Nigeria for 3 years and finally went back to America to finish my remainder of high school (sophomore, junior, and senior year). You took the bus to Aleipata? (where Lalomanu is).... YOU'RE AWESOME. Only locals take the bus to Aleipata! Even visiting Samoans don't take the bus to Aleipata; they are most likely to take a rental car. And most Samoans have never set foot on Namua Island so well done you. You really did take the route less travelled!

Wow, lived in Samoa for years, back in Australia now and still visit frequently but ive NEVER had the courage to ride the buses in Samoa, let alone to Aleipata lol kudos to you!

I went to Upolo for 2 weeks and Savaii for 2 weeks alone in April this year. I was in Samoa one month living just with the locals taking the local bus which is super fun and safe. What's the big deal here? Samoans are some of the most friendliest and caring people on the planet, they look after you.

Next time if you plan to go visit Samoa again, don't forget to pay a visit to the big island where you can ride a $12 ticket ferry from Mulifanua (Moo-Lee-Fah-New-Ah) wharf to Salelologa (Sah-Leh[lay]-Low-Low-Gah) wharf also the main town of Savaii. I want to see your review from our big island as you have positive and great reviews from our some-parts-of Upolu island.

Your pronunciation of Samoan place names for the most part is On Point especially for a non Samoan 👌🏽
With the whole Sunday thing, Samoa literally takes the 4th Commandment seriously being it's a predominantly Christian Country. Hope you would've checked out a church service while you were there, Peace Chapel & Worship Centre would be the closest to a Hillsong type church service but with a Samoan flavour & obviously language.
The Buses are funny especially with the loud music and wooden seats although dependent on where you're travelling, some buses are newer and have Air Con. That Event that you mentioned would've been called a "Fiafia (pronounced Fee-Ah Fee-Ah) Night".

According to the 10 commandments in the bible the seventh day is Saturday not Sunday! Samoa follows a pagan Catholic Sunday worship system which was changed from Saturday to sunday. It clearly states the true day of worship in the bible...Satan/Sunday or Jesus /Saturday..God created the world in six days and rested on the 7th day plain and simple!!; Jesus said if you love me keep my commandments!

But the Sabbath is part of the Old Testament Law, and Christians are free from the bondage of the Law (Galatians 4:1-26; Romans 6:14). God gave the 10 commandments to Adam and eve not Israel...the laws you state in those verses are referring to the mosaic laws which Jesus abolished when he died for our sins . the veil of the sanctuary was torn when he died signifying the end of those traditional laws god gave to moses and Israel not the 10 commandments which was written with gods very finger. I used to work with the Samoa Tourism Authority marketing Samoa. Most of those visitors from overseas always comment "We did not know Samoa is this beautiful. Please keep it a secret for us.." Many of them have been to many other Pacific islands and I guess they were just looking for another place they had not travelled to.

Cooking and prepping Sunday lunch;
then morning church;
then Sunday lunch;

Lalomanu still beautiful as always,the most night mare when you got into the bus and the bus driver never use his common sense to see the bus already full then stop picking up people's but I always enjoy visiting samoa anytime I want I think its awesome
