I’ve been reselling and watching YT reselling videos everyday for almost three years and I would be insanely hard pressed to not say that this is the best reselling video I’ve ever watched. This is pro level eBay hat reselling advice and a deep dive into vintage hats that most would never have seen. I’m speechless. And I really appreciate you taking the time to make this video. I’ll probably make hundreds off of it over the next several years or more
As a woman that knows nothing about hats, I have passed up hat lots that I knew had to be valuable, but I didn't know enough about valuing hats to take the chance. This is thr most comprehensive explanation of hat reselling basics I have seen on RUclips. Thank you very much for the information. I can forsee your channel growing fast. Bravo
Wow, this is such a good video! I mean, the information is excellent and super helpful, I'm taking notes! But beyond that this is really well done, presented in a super clear, organized manner, you have examples for everything and you leave the pictures of the examples up on screen for long enough that we can see them---that's something that drives me nuts, when RUclipsrs put some really important info up on screen, whether it's a photo or text, and they leave it up for like a tenth of a second!--and your pacing is great, too! Thank you so much!
You’re welcome, I’m so glad you found this helpful. Also, thanks for leaving such nice feedback, as I make more content, I’ll keep in mind those positives that stood out. ✌🏼 Rafa
I just came across your video. Trying to learn more about hats. But what caught my eye is the hat you’re wearing :) I work for USPS and love different hats to wear like that. Thanks for the video!
Thanks so much for the information. I’ve just started picking up hats and love them. Such a variety, easy to take photos and easy to ship. Love the video. Miss Patti, Red Apple Treasures
Thank you for the excellent video...I learned a ton about hats today. I have watched quite a few hat videos and I learned the most from you today. I'm so happy to subscribe!
I'll happily take those hats that don't sell off you. I Bought a bulk lot from a wholesaler in the UK, literally all of the hats were of American brands and small companies but they all went like wildfire, I didn't think I'd sell a single one
Great video good tips I actually got into cleaning and restoration of hats once I purchased a innopaw hat steamer it's been good profit thanks for the video
Check out the innopaw hat steamer I have a couple shorts and before and after videos I'm currently buying a second one because in winter you can clean caps and other hats
Thank you so much for such an informative video! I don't know much about hats but my son and nephew decided to nix their stash so I thought, might as well see how much they are going for on eBay...that's when my eyes started to cross.... lol. This has helped tremendously!!! I live part time in a camper (work stuff) and wanted to change from my usual eBay listings to something a little more portable. This might just be it!!! side note......Reckon you could do a video on how to tell if a hat indeed is vintage? I have a new era 9twenty and cannot find another like it anywhere on the web. It does have the holographic strip in it so it is authentic. I just can't figure how to find out the age before I list. It's Just a thought........
Thanks so much for watching, I’m very appreciative! You’re right, maybe I should do a follow up video. As far as the hat you asked about, without seeing it, my gut says it’s not vintage because of the holographic strip. I don’t think they did those 20 years or older ago. But you never know I guess 🤷🏻♂️ Thanks again!
This video is super informative and helpful! Thanks! I’m about to list some vintage trucker hats and 90s bulls hats and I’m so excited. One of them is Sports Specialties brand!
Awesome video! You break it all down into sections/categories & it is very easy to understand! Is there a way you can tell if a hat is vintage… vs being non vintage? I realize that sounds so ignorant! I resell clothing & know how to date clothing but haven’t found that same information for hats/caps. Thanks for your time!
Great info! Question about the plastic “zipper-style” back part of the hat, is that desirable/undesireable? I have a vintage corduroy Budweiser hat with the rope and two mudflap girls with that type of back. It was made in Thailand though, by Otto Cap. I can’t find any like it and am clueless how to list it! Any advice? Thanks from Alaska 😎
Thanks so much for watching! I always like finding the zipper-backs because they’re so rare. If you want, send me photos of the hat in a message on IG. I’m earlybirdpicker on IG.
@@EarlyBirdPicker wow thanks for the quick reply! There aren’t a lot of videos on RUclips regarding hats so I really appreciate the content. I will hit ya up for sure :)
I have a 1990's Sports Specialties hat that has what I can only describe as having a raised outline of a basketball player on the side of the hat. The Team (Charlotte Hornets) logo is on the front of the hat and the raised / embossed outline is on the side of the hat and is the same color and material as the main body of the hat (white) - what is that called?
I’ve struggled with the same question bc the wear adds that character & ‘vintage’ look; then again, no one wants to wear an old sweaty hat. Wish there was some way to know! Just for the note of it - I clean mine!
Hi ! I just came across your You tube video. I enjoyed it very much. I was wondering if you have any Sportsman Hats in stock that were made by Charles Craft. They do not make them any more, but were made for several years. They are Sportsman Hats or Baseball Caps, made with 14 Count Aida Cloth for Counted cross stitch patterns . If you do please let me know. Sincerely, Robbin.
Thanks so much for watching my video, glad you enjoyed it! I have not found any Sportsman Hats. Thanks for letting me know about them, I will certainly be on the lookout and let you know if I find any!
Just wondering if u or anybody has any advice. I have an old KangaROOS hat that I picked at a yard sale years ago. It still has tags with patent pending on it (I guess for a pocket on it) I can't find anything on the internet so I have no clue as how to price if I sold?
Vintage is twenty years or older while retro is a less strict definition. Please keep checking back on my channel because I have a scheduled plan to create community brand catalogues that are sorted and alpha numeric including birth year and photo example. Grace & Peace Rafa

Just recently learn that folks can replace the snapback part of the hat. Just use a old donor hat. Can be glued or sewn.

Thanks so much for the support! Most hats are identified vintage based on look and style. What is usually a giveaway is if the hat is made in the USA.
I have a lot of 80s & 90s hats loved to know price range
