Excellent job converting this! It's great quality video. 2:00 "lesson 1, Audi drivers always open the door for ladies"

The only downside to the 90's were some of the video editing... We suddenly had access to all these cool video effects, we had to put them all in one video. Lol!

I think it was trying to appeal to the professional or trust funded "youngsters" in the eyes of some baby boomer marketing execs.
Almost everything with those cheesy graphics and effects back then, targeted Generation X.

      @@jmin8400 I'm all for it. It's nostalgic.

I noticed the irony of them saying "It was Audi, after all"... right when they're showing the NSU Ro80, which was developed before VW took over NSU and merged it with Auto Union to form Audi in 1969. And I wonder how many people turned off the video after the first few minutes, thinking that it was just going to be all advertising fluff and no useful information! (Really... no one at Audi thought, "Maybe we can skip the sales pitch, since the person watching the video already bought the car"!?)

VWestlife why confuse people over brands they never heard of?

These were such fun little aspirational entry level sport sedans back in the late 90s. Fun colors, great powertrian choices, perfect size, sharp suspension, and anyone with a decent professional career could afford one. Audi was a lot more interesting back then. Now it’s under steering jellybean crossovers for Stacy and Karen and a few overcompensating hot rods. Sad!

I finally had to donate mine to KPBS a year ago, after a major short / meltdown of the entire power window circuitry. Up to that point, it was a great-looking car that was a blast to drive. It was 9 years old when I bought it for my younger son, and I "inherited" it from him a few years later (he's a BMW guy now).
My favorite incident: I was refueling behind a Lotus. The owner looked at my car and said, "1996 A4 -- I wish I had never sold mine!"

    I liked the A4 back in the 90s. My personal FAV Audi’s are the S4, RS4, Q5 and S5.

I remember this video, I was 12 years Old. Growing up in forstercare and remember I watch my caremoms Audi A4 video handbook brochure (this) in one of the first weeks after I arrived. I was for shure that this A4 was going to be my first car, a battle a 12 year Old 1996 Ford Escort CLX won. What a shitty car😂
