Imagine a scene in the next zombies where a dark aether portal is opened and out steps JFK, Castro, Nixon, and Mac.
It'd be so ridiculous for an alternate timeline JFK to just show up, let alone the others.

Nixon was last vice president in 1961. Five takes place during 1963. Nixon at that time was a presidential candidate. Hence why Castro remarks about Nixon in the opening cutscene, "And why is he here? He LOST!". He is alluding to Nixon's loss to JFK in the 1960 U.S. Presidential election.

Beside Shangri-La, Five was the hardest map in Black Op 1 zombies. I always liked playing as Fidel Castro in five since he says something funny to zombies in Spanish. All these historical leaders are so iconic in five and that was awesome to play for.

The red phones are most likely a reference to an actual line of communication (dubbed the “red telephone”) that was implemented after the Cuban Missile Crises so that the US and Russian leaders can have a direct line of communication in case situation of similar scale arises.

Five is my favorite zombies map of all time, I wish we could've gotten more out of the five crew.

An issue I have with cod zombies these days is everything has to be ‘connected’ or has to mean something. In my mind FIVE was just a really cool, novelty map with awesome, real life characters. Nothing more nothing less

My head-canon of what happened after the broken FIVE: Jfk, Nixon, Fidel, And Macnamera all survive and end up fighting zombies in the background whenever our player is around, they fight near us but they leave right before we get there.

It all makes sense now, all those Easter eggs were the lore to Aether, and that’s also why there was a Pentagon Thief.
It was also why there’s a secret person calling for them in Ascension, trying to free him.

I do want to know is where can these animated cutscenes can be found. Because I like how they explain the story by just using images as context, that and well I usually see people who make Cod lore videos use them frequently. Just like how Gursh was trapped in the Gurdh device and Yuri sent to the Pentagon to release the zombies.
I think it’s from the map Classified. It’s the opening cutscene.

Minor correction: Richard Nixon was only a FORMER Vice president at the time 5 must take place.
He’s present in the room because he was JFK’s opponent in the 1960 election. Hence Castro’s confusion regarding his presence. And Kennedy’s “Forgive your enemies, but remember their name.” Line.
They need to make a third FIVE map with George Bush, Barack Obama, Donald J Trump and Joseph Biden. It would be funny to see their interactions and how they complete Easter eggs.
One thing I don’t get is, by BO3, Sam became good from the events after the cannon Buried Easter egg.
So why is she still evil in the BO4 Primis/Ultimus storyline? Is it just past versions of Samantha? Or does she become bad from time to time?
Im leaning towards the latter of my decisions since I thought if you were in control of the dark aether, you were in every possible universe at once.
Yeah just the timeline that they happen to be in. Origin's Samantha is a different timeline/dimension from Ultimis. Seeing as the crew met WAY earlier than their original counter parts. So the same during bo4's Classified is still the Sam from WAW - Bo1. I'm 99% sure that Orgin's Sam lives in the house with Eddie and Monty by this point.

And I’m pretty sure she jumped timeline’s because she didn’t like how her father turned out by the Buried Easter egg.
Which is what caused Ultimis Rictofen to become catatonic when arriving back to Groom Lake in the 60’s instead of the future.

The zombies storyline was at its peak in the black ops 1 era. Once they started the "multiple outcomes" it became overly complicated. Am I an old head? I feel like this is an unpopular opinion

The black ops lore is a very interesting story. Many loopholes and plots that I still don’t know.
If JFK and the rest are just filling political positions, then there'a really no reason for them to die in the broken cycle. I want to believe they all, if not most survived in the dark either with the rest of the government and will make a comeback as villains to try and control the zombies just because they daw the power they were dealing with
