    its definitely a spark/timing problem. the backfire isnt just unburnt fuel, it also does that when your stator isnt timed correctly. check if your stator is at the right spot, or maybe your flywheel groove is broken so the flywheel isnt at the right spot

      Yea a few other guys told me it was a timing issue as well! I’ll be playing with the bike a bit more to get this thing running

    try closing the spark plug gap to real real small if it starts and runs itsa spark problem also check that chines carb blow it thrue

      In actually ordered new jetting for it so hopefully that gets me somewhere!

      @@brotherswan still try what i said for my rm it helped it so it acuratly started, the cause was the stator btw but first make the spark plug gap like somthing 0.2mm

    if the radiator isnt connect that could cause it not to start when i didnt have a radiator on it only start by roll starting it! when started without a radiator it wouldnt idle either! im not sure but that hole on the cylinder where smoke came out of im pretty sure its supposed to be covered to maximise compression might also cause it not to start.

      That could be it! I just got new hoses for it as well so maybe i can get this thing started and enjoy it lol

      @@brotherswan the hoese there whereit smokes is for the powervalve and should be kept open just usa an open hoes and tuck it under the engine

    What size piston did you go to. Mine is the same way

      I went up to a 55mm i believe. Ended up running and then didn’t after lol I’m guess i broke it in wrong lmao

    That hole on left side goes to your left
    radiator for liquid and the fact that gasses are coming through that hole says your head gasket has gone or bolts are not tight enough kind of lucky you didn't have that pipe on with liquid going through it because you wouldn't of been able to see the gasses leaking and you said you had the head off

    Timing. Key way is broke on your fly wheel

      Ended up doing a top end rebuild. Got it to run then it never turned on again lol

      @@brotherswan my mate Rm as got same issue, we swapped cdi and ignition coil from my gasgas and is the same so we we ordered new stator coil and pick up so will see, Must be good after it as it's definitely ignition problem we think. We will let you know if you are still interested of fixing your bike bro

      can you let me know if you ever found out the problem i just rebuilt top end rode it 2 times now it dont wanna start anymore@@kidrainenful

      It’s actually super annoying. I ended up going up a bit in piston size and it ran lol
