Great tips. My niñito Havanese is just over four months old. I haven't let him off lead outdoors but will give it a go. Enrolling him into a puppy class soon.

Love your videos. I'm getting my havanese in 4 weeks and I can't wait. Can you tell me how much she weighs now?

Hi! Your channel popped up in my feed, and I love it. I've had schnauzers in the past and they were alright being home alone during work hours. Thinking of getting a Havanese but I'm getting a bit worried about the "home alone" thing. How do you plan to combine your cutie with you going off to work?

Hey! I'm very lucky that, if I end up going back to the office, I have someone who permanently works from home (who has two miniature schnauzers!) who can look after her. I don't think she'd cope well being left the whole working day, unfortunately I think that's a breed thing :(

How was Evie when in season. My having keeps being sick which worried me but I have read since this has happened to other dogs. She is also very clingy. Evie is beautiful by the way.

She didn't really act much differently to be honest, she was a bit sleepier at the start but that was the only change I noticed. I've heard of other dogs being sick during their seasons though so I think it's totally normal! Bless her, I hope it's over quickly for the both of you! Thank you xx

I work from home as well with my
Puppy ! She is only 11 weeks and when she’s not napping in her crate it is so hard for me to watch her and also focus on work and be productive. Any tips?

Oh I feel you! I just made use of any toys that I could hide treats in that would keep her occupied for a little while - obviously these don't last a super long time but I also found they would tire her out mentally a bit and sometimes she'd go back to sleep haha. I'd be lying if I said my work wasn't its best in those first few months but I just tried to tire her out as best as I could in breaks. Soon she'll just choose to sleep when you're not doing anything with her, hold tight!

Hey, do you mind sharing how you trained Evie not to nip/bite? And what age she started to stop doing it? Thanks so much !

Of course! In all honesty, I think you mainly just have to go with it until they grow out of it, but you can definitely discourage it. Evie was about 6 months when she really started to calm down on the biting and I'd say she completely stopped just before she turned 8 months. I used to use the technique of either leaving the room when she did it or shutting her out of the room for a few seconds - that seemed to be most effective. She didn't really take any notice of me saying 'No' until when she had almost got out of the habit and pretending it hurt never seemed to work either haha.
