BEST SKI RESORT IN NEW ENGLAND | Sunday River (Maine)

- 4K | GoPro & Drone ... What an incredible way to bring in the New Year here at this absolute hidden gem destination in the US. I grew up in Maine and was lucky enough to ski Sunday River as a kid, but I hadn't been back since and was dying to go. It definitely did not disappoint this time around. The views are STUNNING, the skiing is so nice and refreshing, and the all-around positive vibes are off the charts. I hadn't been skiing in six years and somehow managed 0 falls on the day, so I'll call that a success! I rented equipment from the on-site ski rental shop and it was a super smooth / easy process. Customer service was great. We stayed at the AMAZING Jordan Hotel and oh my gosh I can't recommend this place enough. Once again, impeccable service. It's so gorgeous. The heated pool and hot tub situation on a freezing cold night after a long day of skiing is an out of this world experience. They had a contactless buffet included in the fare, it felt very covid-safe with their staff taking proper precaution and the food was yummy also. The room was cozy and we had a deck with a mountain view.. score!! Also major bonus, they have DVD players with a MASSIVE selection of movies to rent which really brought me back to childhood and helped aide in a nice and relaxing trip :) Shoutout to my angel / rockstar best friend Jannika Bragg for coming with and helping me capture shots for this video! Couldn't have done it without you, THANK YOU.

Sugarloaf is still the best mountain in the East. Sunday River is nice, but it definitely isn't Sugarloaf!
Sunday River has special meaning to me as I grew up going there as a kid.. have only been to Sugarloaf once! It’s amazing there though, definitely want to get back there next year
@@EJAdventures Skied a lot at Sunday River as a kid back in the late '60's and early '70's while it was just one mountain and still had that nice rock to jump off of under the chairlift near the bottom. Nice place, but nothing like Sugarloaf.
I lived in Maine my whole life and I’ve never been skiing or snowboarding and I’m going by the end of the month. Is Sunday river better than sugarloaf?
Yay that’s so awesome! I’m excited for you! I’m not sure if you’ll be taking lessons or not but the instructors at Sunday River are incredible. I took lessons there as a kid and they were the best. I’m no expert but it seems the mountains are pretty similar - from what I hear in recent reviews Sunday River tends to get a bit more crowded? But I think it might be the better place to go as a beginner. You really can’t go wrong either way though!

Yes! I grew up taking trips skiing here with family and friends.. it was so fun to go back this past year! Absolutely loved this place
