Big and round pacifier are out of date - according to specialists/speach & language therapists/ dentists/ lactation consultants - and not according to commercial companies - as they misshapen the palate - roof of the mouth of the baby with long term consequences and the one in the video is too heavy and covers the 1/3 of the babys face.
Breastfeeding babies rarely need a pacifier as they satisfy their sucking need on the breast 🤱 If realy needed - use it considerately and use a flat one with a small shaft :)

I hated pacifiers for my babies. They didn’t need one.

So why is this woman teaching a newborn how to bottle feed. There is no reason to give this baby a pacifier. If he wants to feed BREASTFEED HIM!!

      Do you NOT understand English?
Why comment when you didn't pay attention.

THIS IS A CLASSIC MISTAKE. TOO EARLY INTRODUCTION OF PACIFIER USE LEADING TO ⬇️ FREQUENCY OF MILK REMOVAL LEADS TO ⬇️ MILK SUPPLY. ✅✅The baby is showing classic feeding and hunger cues for breastfeeding.
Baby loses pacifier, baby opens eyes, arm moving.closed fist to late sign of crying.
✅Leading to change in sucking and breast.
⬇️of milk supply and ⬇️ weight gain.
👣THIS IS WHAT ALL BREASTFEEDING BABIES NEED
🩵A good pain free latch and removal of breast milk,10-12 feeds per day and feeding cues. Once your baby is doing well with a good pain free latch and milk removal, skin to skin, weight gain and recovery for this baby of a frenectomy, DO YOU TRY A PACIFIER. Tina Lindsay RN, IBCLC.🤱

      Hi Tina🙂
Dud you watch the video? This sweet baby was born with a tongue tie, then had a frenectomy to correct it.
After the procedure, most newborns have to relearn how to suck- they are NOT able to properly suck- Breast, bottle - so they will not be able eat enough And can cause a host of other issues.
I’m sure you know all the issues/probs, as you are a baby .nurse
HENCE- SUCK TRAINING. Using a finger/binky, allows the adult to do all these things/techniques, practices, etc. that is being shown in this video.
You cannot do these at the breast or with a bottle. For obvious (and logical) reasons if actually having viewed this vid.
This “SUCK TRAINING” with the binky DOES NOT REPLACE OR HARM OR INHIBIT BREAST/BOTTLE FEEDING. -
-Which is clearly discussed throughout this video by the Momma and the Lactation Specialist.
--So no, THIS **PACIFIER SUCK TRAINING AFTER A FRENECTOMY**
BY AN ACCREDITED LACTATION SPECIALIST WAS NOT A “BIG MISTAKE.”

      Genuine question-
I had very low supply for my first. She did not use a pacifier.i was never able to increase my supply. ( and believe me, I tried everything they recommend and more and was in contact im with a lactation consultant. ) only ever was ably to get .5ozmax out of each breast for a feeding.
For my second, I am producing more. He is getting about 1oz-slightly over out of each breast. (1month at this time)
He CONSTANTLY was on the breast, and he will want to stay there till he falls asleep. - will fuss then scream if I take him off.- consoling him does not work- only the boob.
What would you suggest - if not a pacifier? He right now doesn’t use one/ doesn’t like the ones I have tried.
Also, if you have any suggestions for my milk supply for this second baby- as I am thrilled to actually see my child grow with just breastmilk.

Try putting some ghost pepper juice on the diaper dooters pacifier and see what happens. 😅😂😅😅
