She has not booked a teaching job in 15 years but watches the Oscars every year in hopes that a nominee, that she hasn’t ever met, will thank her in their acceptance speech.
Me too lmao it got so boring at one point that I just wanted to leave the video and look at the comments, but I kept reminding myself that this is caitlin and she is acting
there's an air of kindness despite her unfortunate situation she seems like a genuine person behind her melancholic exterior, probably the most sane Caitlin character
Yeah, this one's just mildly eccentric in a way that's endearing and enjoyable. And maybe she's right... Maybe it's not all about the IMBD, maybe it's about the friends we made along the way?
I actually think this character's a lot nicer than most of Caitlin's others- sure, she's bitter and unfulfilled, but she seems to genuinely care about her students and encourages them, and that's something
He teaches highschool theater at a public school outside of houston. Just for context. Weirdest fucking guy. One of those “wouldn’t be surprised if he had a scandal with a student” types.
'I get asked quite a bit', in context: "Hiiii I am so excited to speak to you! I am an actor of sorts!" "Oh? Really? Cool, I don't think I know you... Have you won an Oscar?" 😂😂
I've never met this kind of person, but I feel I know them. That is why this woman is just so good. She makes you feel like you know these people personally. Where is her OSCAR!?
Cool you did a longer one! Oh God, where to start with her! I love her holding the fake Oscar, petting it with her fingers while she talks. The matching glasses and scarf were a nice touch too! But her whole personality is a classic!😂👏👏
I feel like I’ve seen your name before in comment sections but I can’t remember where 😂 do you comment on Objective Personality videos by any chance? Either way, hello 👋
How is it that every single one of her characters is so convincing like I literally believe that she is each person she plays every.single.video. That is what you call TALENT
Yes, these character skits are great. Some are of the kinds of people I've never met, not being an LA girl, interested in acting or anything like that. Yet I always end up thinking that's just like so-and-so! The types are universal and she captures them perfectly. If I can't see what's odd in a skit, it probably means they're like me. You never hear your own accent.
Very true! It’s mostly about connections and on rare occasions you can break through without connections. But lots of hard work for many years very frequently will not bring success. 🥀
At some point you need to find a way to find meaning and happiness in your life outside of it and outside of your own ego. Otherwise your are going to end up like the character in this video.
The three different words that all mean the same thing, the oversized glasses, the “I have been saying this for years”, it’s all there and I love it so much
Lmao I kind of feel her pain a bit even though I don't act because it just seems like such a hard industry to get ahead in. I feel like anyone who's able to support themselves through acting has more or less made it, because even just getting to that point can be crazy difficult.
You nailed it girl. I love making fun of the arrogance of the industry. We all need to not take ourselves so seriously and stay a bit humble. Love the longer videos. The short ones are good too but it’s fun to see the longer ones.
Literally perfect, the clothes, glasses, hair& makeup all perfect. Your acting is on another level. Brilliant characters who are all portrayed perfectly, in every way. 👏🏼
I love that as a stage actor she would not even get an Oscar, but got awarded a fake one by her dead friend. (Did she kill him? We will never know.) "Success is not always on the IMDb" is a true fact and something we all need to remember. Daily.
Your accents and mannerisms are always on point! That's something I really wanna develop as an aspiring actor. I fully understand English (native tongue is French) but I'm not a charismatic public speaker... I can't even fully fletch an idea in a full sentence out loud - as in, I'll stutter and won't articulate myself well. Since I really don't care to work in the French film industry (it's... Its own world with the same people) I gotta work on English to get to your level!
:) Somebody must've already acknowledged the beautifully implicit reveal of the character's hypocrisy ("Success isn't only on IMDB," followed by "[Jessica Chastain] was nothing then..."). Hilarious, exquisitely delineated, so rewarding of our attention, as always.
this is one of caitlin's few non-shorts videos and the fact that i'm still thoroughly entertained for that whole three minutes is a testament to her talent i think
Hahaha i actually am from Chastain’s hometown. We auditioned forJuilliard the same year. She worked at a diner my ex later worked at. The Lucky Cafe. Actually was eventually closed due to health violation. So maybe Jess was the only lucky one? True story. I live in Sacramento California. I Love the thinly veiled rage so many of your characters have.
She has not booked a teaching job in 15 years but watches the Oscars every year in hopes that a nominee, that she hasn’t ever met, will thank her in their acceptance speech.
😂😂
You nailed it on the head 🤣🤣
Hahaha caitlyn hearted you luckyy
Caitlin* oops
Why did that make me sad 😭
As someone who majored in theatre, I can 100% confirm the accuracy of this woman’s oversized glasses, animal print scarf, and air of fragility
Preach
Oversized glasses is a must👌
This was a memory I didn't want to unearth...
She has the exact same haircut as the terrifyingly intense woman who ran the after-school drama group I went to.
@@katherinefrost6318 I had a woman like this throw her binder up into the air with disgust when she saw our curtain call 😂
Her acting is so good that I am both annoyed and bored by this video. She portrays the character perfectly!
Omg I was thinking the same’ the acting is so on point that I was like “idc about this woman” really quickly
Seriously! I was compelled to keep watching because it was such good acting but the character is so unbearable that it was a hard watch
The art of the cringe
Exactly, I'm not even in an acting class but somehow I kept watching her videos.
Me too lmao it got so boring at one point that I just wanted to leave the video and look at the comments, but I kept reminding myself that this is caitlin and she is acting
I love how, through adjusting mannerisms and tone, Caitlin can range from 22 to 57 years old.
Also can be male.
or a teen who's about to head to college lol
Or a pretentious British child

Yeah, this one's just mildly eccentric in a way that's endearing and enjoyable. And maybe she's right... Maybe it's not all about the IMBD, maybe it's about the friends we made along the way?
I like this person despite her humongous ego! I would want her to my pretentious acting coach any day.
Just give this woman an oscar already lol she is so good at this
@Joshua Lamegos haha i guess that's better than nothing. lighter so it's easier to carry around and show to people 😄

Are Oscars still worth something Post-Slap?
@@jlupus8804 probably not. I don't think they have been worth anything for a while now tbh.
I actually think this character's a lot nicer than most of Caitlin's others- sure, she's bitter and unfulfilled, but she seems to genuinely care about her students and encourages them, and that's something
You are spot on, she's a rare non-psycho!
I like her and the midwest aunt one.
I can tell this character has a good heart
Has everyone forgotten about the lounge singer? I love her too
Good point
You do such a wonderful job capturing such precise moods of bitterness that we can all recognize.
50 shades of bitterness
“I have not yet won an oscar in my career. I have not. I get asked quite a bit.😏” Yeah. Sure. 😂
My highschool theater teacher would constantly bring up how it was down to him and Jim Carrey for The Mask. Sure Landgrebe, sure.

Best part!
You know who is 100% worthy of an Oscar? Caitlin! Goddammit, what a brilliant woman.
And that's called living life on the edge of a meltdown.
The ever so subtle bitterness throughout this is spot on 😂😂😂
Yup! Good call 😆
Nothing subtle about it 😂
1:11 "It has been outstanding, it has been groundbreaking, beautiful, EARTH SHATTERING, LIFE ALTERING" 😭😭😭 Channelling Gaga I see

Or Dawson's Creek 😂
I've never met this kind of person, but I feel I know them. That is why this woman is just so good. She makes you feel like you know these people personally. Where is her OSCAR!?
I'm a music teacher, and have worked with a number of Middle School theater teachers over the years who are just about like this.
In her hands.
As a theatre kid, as soon as I saw those glasses and that scarf I knew I met this person before. Soooooo on point.
"Student, still... afteralltheseyears" she just transformed into so many of my acting teachers
"Foolish to think of such" 😂😂😂
But honestly the bit about success being inside was kinda heartwarming 🥺
It's not always on the IMDb.
villian origin story
The low-key emotional breakdown facing reality before the Starbuck's delusion and the covert desperation in the final. This is perfection
I‘ve never met an acting coach in my entire life and yet I somehow feel like this is 100% accurate
You have NO idea

@Sophia Redwood Haha! I'm all over the place. Yes, I'm on there too! Hi! 😀
I saw the petting as wiping off years of dust from it sitting on the shelves! 😂
That Starbucks story coming out of NOWHERE is PEAK acting teacher!!! Lmaoo
It's always the "dear friend" giving them some random trinket they will treasure forever
She even painted her nails for this. That’s dedication.
Jesus, the hair, the glasses, the scarf 😂 I hope you win an Oscar girl!
I love how she grips the Oscar like shes the one who won it, and is giving her own acceptance speech.
Really fits the character hilariously!!
“The…caliber,” amazing perfect the tone the facial expression gold
I love that part where she snuck in "after all these years..." hahaha oh my god I had a good laugh with that one. Man, she's good!
HOW DOES SHE DO IT- every single time
I worked for this woman for years. This is eerie.
I actually love her so much
a 3 minute video, we are blessed
caitlin has mastered the art of 'trying to speak while holding in salty tears'
How is it that every single one of her characters is so convincing like I literally believe that she is each person she plays every.single.video. That is what you call TALENT
Can we take a moment to appreciate what an extraordinary psychologist she is?
Genuinely one of the best actresses I know. Every character is believable because every tiny detail is being paid attention to.
the expensive scarf, the expensive spectacles, and that karen look. perfect.
Omg 3 minutes worth of absolute comedy 😂😭this is amazing
It's the not so thinly veiled bitterness that really sells it for me
Your characterizations and satire is criminally underrated. This was dead on.
This character looks like she’s constantly on the verge of bursting into tears lmao
Lol no way this teacher was prepared for what actually happened at the Oscars
The way my jaw dropped

I have a feeling she might want an Oscar. Just a hunch.🤔
HMMM
Where did you get that idea
I don't know where you got this idea, the success is inside, she said it herself in a 100% genuine tone. /s
“This was given to me by a dear friend who passed away” WAS THE MOST ACCURATE PART OF THIS
That was difficult to watch and heartbreaking to listen to!
Bravo!
Okay but her moving that tiny award across the desk is low key ASMR for me 👂🏾
We love that you`re posting more. I wish I was a director and could give you a movie role. YOU`RE AMAZING.
i love the mix between "positivity" (which is totally fake and fabricated) and a sort of resentment towards everyone and everything.
Nothing like hate-watching the oscars with your dollar store statuette. 🤣🤣
this one is so good caitlin it's so different from your other characters and soooo specific!!!
_"And the award for 'Best performance of actors whose dreams have been crushed' goes to...."_

I’m laughing my head here while also feeling just a little bit sorry for everyone who didn’t make it in showbiz. It is just such a hard industry.
