    Amazing!
    I totally agree that extraction would have been my way to go, but they proved me wrong! Amazing! Love your work and dedication!

    extraction was truly the way to go, the time extended quite a bit and just seeing the anterior teeth flaring before the total arch distalization hurt my mouth :( I mean the end result was satisfactory but at what cost? also, pretty sure the otucome would be much better if the extractions were done

      At the cost of 4 premolar 😂

    This is a very good case. But I don’t agree this is a non-extraction case. I find the 3rd molars were removed. A real non extraction case would end with 32 teeth. Actually, I have similar cases that I only extract 4 bicuspids and save the 3rd molars. Extraction bicuspids is much less traumatic than extraction the 3rd molars.

      I pulled out my wisdom teeth because I don’t think my impacted wisdom teeth could have been saved. I’m going to ask my orthodontist to pull my teeth back into the extraction spaces I can’t pull out 8 teeth that is a lot of bone I’m losing.

      I had maxillary premolars extracted and all wisdom teeth. Unfortunately my face looks sunken in and I still have a deep bite. My current orthodontists want to retract further as there is no mandible growth at 37 and implants seem stupid. 🤷🏼‍♂️ 😢

    Dr, why let patients dictate the correct treatment plan? If they refuse premolar exo's you can refuse treatment. It's a nice improvement no doubt, but was unnecessarily complex and to me still flared. Enjoy your videos, thank you!

    • @nadialexa
      @nadialexa Год назад +12

      that's not your teeth, if it was complex, dr did not do it for free. Only an awful professional would consider to extract PERFECTLY HEALTHY TEETH just because they're as lazy as you are to do use other methods

    • @drdavethedude
      @drdavethedude Год назад +1

      @@nadialexa Nadia, you can't park 2 cars into a one car garage. The end result is still flared, and tho an improvement, would have been more esthetic and more stable with premolar extractions. Your comment about "awful professional" and "perfectly healthy teeth" shows you know nothing about orthodontics, and are a rude imbecile as well.

    • @devasheeesh_

      @@nadialexa exactly what I was thinking, the patient's paying the doc, not asking them to do for free

    • @nadialexa
      @nadialexa Год назад

      @@drdavethedude this is not about cars, you dumbass. Dumbest analogy I've read. Orthodontics can't be compared to a garage. And surprise for you! This is not 2005. There are a lot of ways to treat this EASY case of crowding and overjet, other than extracting healthy and important teeth. Understand now? I don't think so, since you seem really slow.

    • @drdavethedude
      @drdavethedude Год назад

      @@nadialexa I'm afraid you're the dumbass. The analogy makes sense, perhaps you're too dumb to understand it? The comment about 2005 is laughable. The earliest treatments with fixed appliances by Edward Angle in the 1920s....they were ALWAYS non-extraction and often relapsed terribly. That's why the Tweed and Begg philosophies were born. Today, any decent orthodontist will extract teeth when appropriate. Just because a case CAN be treated non-extraction doesn't mean it should. And by the way imbecile, does this patient keep their wisdom teeth in a health state as well? Something has got to go.

      @@misswigs4472 yeah it wasn't that forward but it is better than her after. it's not just the mandible, having smaller jaw gives her lesser space for her tongue then further blocking the airway. bimaxillary protrusion is kind of an illusion and is caused by having not enough forward jaw growth not really about teeth. ruclips.net/video/8JAsnTshxH0/видео.html
