I think it’s due to all the different receptor activity. DXM acts on multiple types vs something like an opioid that acts on just opioid type receptors so you get a pretty wide range of effects, then you might have someone with brain chemistry more sensitive to the serotinergic effects vs someone more sensitive to the dopaminergic effects. This also explains differences between doses: at lower doses the drug binds to the receptors with highest affinity but as the dose rises these receptors all get full and it starts binding more and more to other secondary receptors causing these different effects.
The most DXM I’ve consumed is 150 mg (below the threshold of a hallucinogenic experience), I concluded that DXM is toxic after that so I don’t wanna take more. I mostly felt a headache and a bit dizzy (it was a bit like being drunk and high as people say). People say that ketamine is a similar drug and I’ve tried it a few times in low doses. In low doses I feel like they are two entirely different drugs. Snorting a bit of ketamine doesn’t get you a headache, and the feeling you get is somewhat like a mix of nitrous oxide and LSD. I’ve never taken enough ketamine to hallucinate but I might do that at some point. I don’t think I want to visit the k-hole though. But it’s certainly an interesting experience. I feel like ketamine is good to meditate on and also stimulating like LSD, great for longer walks on energetic music.

The fear of making too much noise and waking him up soured the whole experience. I was still able to reflect on myself, but I wasn't able to fully express the emotions I was granted.
as much as i love dxm (and its cleaner, sexier cousin, ketamine), im always scared to go above 400mg. genuinely think i haven’t surpassed 360mg, because while its pretty fun every few weeks / every month or so, it’s super unpredictable. you never really know how it’s gonna go. also the side effects of DXM are brutal compared to K, it makes me sick every time without fail.

Very timely. I just tripped on dxm freebase 330 mg last night for the first time in over a year. I've been called to it, and it was sublime and replenishing. Dangerous stuff though, you must be supremely careful about addiction. Even though it messes up your reward system in relation to its euphoric effects do you don't attach it's opiate effects with it. I feel there is a high therapeutic potential in it.
@@eugenef0zzy it's just the pure version of exclusively the chemical sold by robo Russian on their website. There's hbr and freebase. Hbr is just bound to bromide salt to slow absorption. So freebase is 30% more potent and converts to the desired DXO in the liver much faster because it is the pure chemical.

It's literally like a plastic solution which makes the dose 1/2 as effect but lasts like 24 hours. Not advisable lol. But I had some cathartic moments when I did that, but the nausea was too mortifying. This go around the freebase was just what I was looking for and I have more pills than I'll need for a year doing every now and again
